“These kinds of places make me love Mom and Pop more than the bourgeois restaurants with the fancy menus you find in the hipster neighborhoods. It’s comfort food at its finest. I would recommend this place for Filipino food lovers , but also to people wanting to try an authentic Filipino place for lunch maybe their first time because this place serves a broad community, and is welcoming to everyone! So it is a great open invite to enjoy Pinoy culture! The warmth and welcoming of the family that owns the restaurant keeps me coming back, And the food is great! We eat at a lot of Filipino places and they have some of my favorite versions of the popular dishes! You can’t go wrong with anything there. My only advice is get there early, they sell out quickly, and since they only make fresh food, when they run out, that’s it. They do have a la carte menu, but you’ll have a much broader menu if you get there on the early afternoon. My wife and I go regularly, as much as our schedules will allow us.“

“I’ve eaten here(well, I’ve never actually eaten inside the place), but, I’ve ordered take out on work days when I didn’t pack a lunch, and I’ve also ordered Bibingka for a get-together or two, and always had great results! Chicken, Beef, or Salmon Bowl? Can’t go wrong either way! Their Bibingka is delish, as well!“

“?? PHILIPPINES (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - The lechon belly combo ($14.99) is what unlocks that shining cebuchon you see when you walk in. A section is cut off the roll and hacked down into smaller pieces that includes everything from ultra-crispy skin to meat to soft silky fat. A combination of all of these in your mouth at once is the sweet spot that causes your eyes to close and a string of m's to verbalize.“

“Lovely Filipino restaurant for dinning in or to go. As its name says, pork belly here is excellent. Crispy yet not over cooked so you get a nice moise meaty layer under the soft juicy fat. They have a good mix of other things that are also very tasty so I'd say get the combo 2 and add more as you go.“

“This place is fantastic! Don't let the location fool you—some of the best spots are hidden gems! The Longsilog and Tosilog were incredible, and the customer service was excellent. Don't just take my word for it; come and try it for yourself!“
“Casa Filipina Bakery’s ginataan bilo-bilo is a true taste of the Philippines. The balance of sweetness from the coconut milk and the slight savoriness of the bilo-bilo was spot on. The texture of the bilo-bilo was perfect - chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. A delightful treat.“

“I really liked their beef tapa. Single entree breakfast combo (tapa, 2 eggs, rice) is around $10-11. Ordered 2 of these and 2 drinks for $28-29 (with tax). Some seating available inside the restaurant. Unfortunately they already run out of vigan longganisa when I was there.“

“A Taste of Home at Manila Sunrise in Carson
If you're craving authentic Filipino comfort food, Manila Sunrise in Carson is the place to go. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with warm hospitality that truly reflects the Filipino spirit. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions that make you feel like you're dining at home.
Their lechon kawali is a standout — perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, full of rich flavor. The palabok is also the best! And a must-try, with its savory sauce, balanced seasoning, and delicious toppings that capture the true taste of Filipino cuisine.
Whether you're Filipino or just exploring the cuisine, Manila Sunrise delivers a satisfying and delicious experience every time. Definitely one of the best spots for Filipino food in the South Bay area!“

“Over the years I ordered many many times there sisig and the vegetables egg rolls. There sisig is so good that they run out very quick. The egg rolls are good for a quick filling snack. I was not a fan of there cube pork Lechon compared to other Filipino restaurant but that just me.“

“Best BBQ pork skewers!!!!! But they're pricey! But worth every taste! Popular Filipino food and their siningang soup is the best! I gave it a four stars because they only accept cash and the food are really expensive! U must try the bbq pork skewers and their pancit!!!! Ur welcome in advance ☺️“

“Went here with my friend’s fam for Mother’s Day. Ordered Bulalo, Chop Suey, Dinuguan, and Tokwat Baboy. The rest was good specially the calamansi juice but just a bit of feedback for improvement:Tokwat Baboy - the portioning of the sauce is very little. You can get more upon request but I just found it weird they don’t serve more of it in a separate bowl where you can sumberge the contents of the dish. I get that you want to keep it crispy but you can do better. ?Bulalo - could use more meat and veggies. More seasoning too. Soup lacks beefy flavor. Needs more knorr cubes. ?
Parking: Concrete. Spacious.“

“I tried this place for the first time today, and I am very happy I did.
It is a hole in the wall type place with Hawaiian style poke & other Hawaiian dishes.
I had the sweet & spicy ahi and salmon combination with rice, and it was excellent, in my opinion. Also, the service was quick and really friendly.
I plan on coming back soon!“

“Quality of food served, produce and merchandise needs to be checked on a consistent periodically reasonable basis. Cleanliness of the interior could improve, the exterior needs a lot of work. I purchased longsilog on 1/9/22, the longanisa was just too raw for me to eat. It was not cooked well up to the standards required especially for ground pork meat.“
“I thought it was Chinese food looking quickly through the pictures then when i got in there i relized there was no fried rice and i saw sausage links so i knew something was different but i continued to continued to order anyway when i said i want the noodles she said $3 extra ive never heared the cheapest thing on the menu being up sold but i figured it had to be more to the story. The food turned out to be some of the best near harbor city most places lack flavor around here the noodles are not good even without the $3 upsale i would not get it again but i will definitely be going back. egg rolls are fire. I just dont think the only vegetarian item should sit on not only meat and fish but pork and fish“

“Caviten̈a Bistro hit the spot... The pork adobo was on point. I love their lumpia shanghai here. If you have room for dessert, don't forget to order their Halo Halo. What makes this place special is not the food, but the personable experience. It's family owned and had a great conversation with Butz. This place is happening during evenings with music and dance.“
