“The food and service at Ellie's is really fantastic! Some of the best Italian food that we've ever had. The fresh, homemade pastas make a huge difference. All the other food is also so fresh and delicious! It's fun to share the food family style so that you can try different items on the menu. My husband and I kept commenting how amazing the food was all the way back home.“

“Situated on a busy popular street , parking can be a bit of challenge. Restaurant has a nice ambience and service was good too.

We got the Margarita pizza (good flavor but they ignored our request of making it well done and this one came out very soggy) , chicken entree (v good) , spicy margarita (Smokey and v well made) and bread pudding (very good !)

Overall , we had a good meal and had it not been for a soggy wet pizza base , I would have definitely given this 5 stars .“

“We love Marlena and try to support it every chance we get! Everything - from the ambiance to the service to the food - is such a treat. We could not love the cheesecake and gelato more (oh man, the salted caramel flavor just slayed us). I also had the best duck of my life there a while back (please bring back the duck!). We also love all the salads and options for enjoying plants/veggies along with high quality proteins. Also great wine and cocktails. Just such a gem that is sorely needed in LB! I still need to try their coffee but hoping for a gluten free pastry / breakfast option (I would def eat the cheesecake for breakfast - just saying!).

“Dined here this evening. We enjoyed some Cocktails to start then ordered Beef Tartare, Shrimp with Veg and Roasted Carrots. Entrees varied from Pasta to Ribeye steak and Burger. All delicious. The Carbonara needed more bacon but that was the only issue. Desserts were great. The Espresso wasn’t hot enough for my guest but overall we enjoyed the evening celebrating a birthday. Will recommend to my friends for sure. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy by the time we left at 6.30 pm“

The food is always excellent, as is the staff and service. The restaurant is located in an historic building that lends itself beautifully to the elegant ambience and the feel that you are someplace special. I have been dining there for years whenever I am in the area and it has never failed to impress.“

“Valentino’s Pizza Naples has extraordinary food, great prices, and extremely kind people.

I am visiting Long Beach for a few days and ran into a guy named Tony at church. We got to talking and turns out he is originally from Michigan where I live. Today I went on a run and had already spent my cash at a fishing store. I happened to run past Valentino’s pizza and was surprised to see a familiar face. It was Tony, and he owns the place! We chatted for a while outside and he offered me a free piece of Barbecue pizza! It was some of the tastiest pizza I have ever had, made by the kindest cook in California!“
