“Every time I visit GK Pastry in Mountain View, I usually get the jalapeño cheddar bread (so satisfyingly good, toasted or not), but this time I tried the tomato cheddar bread—crunchy exterior, soft and chewy interior. Awesome toasted. My other go-to is the chocolate jar cake. The chocolate they use is delicious, not too sweet. This time I had the mixberry jar cake. A nice, change-up. Never disappointed. Definitely try and support this local bakery! They opened a new location in Los Altos, too.“

“We had Chocolate & Blueberry focaccia, which was truly excellent. Also two jar cakes: Pistachio and Tiramisu. The jar cakes, like the focaccia, were very nicely made from quality ingredients. But their flavors were quite subtle, and afterward we both thought that the eating pleasure we got from them wasn't worth the calories.“

Love that they can substitute tofu in any of the bowls - makes it great for vegetarians as well. The sauces add a lot of flavor so the pro tip is to get that on the side with the Ube Horchata :)“

“Wonderful Sunday lunch last week. The fried cauliflower florets starter was great. Nicely fried, not greasy with a good thick pesto labane sauce. We loved the muhamarra with the fried pita strips. Had some the next day and it was still fantastic. The chicken pita sandwich was good. My chickpea salad was tasty, but I wasn’t expecting the chickpeas to be so firm. The chocolate babka was great, not too sweet. The staff was attentive and the service was prompt. Nice atmosphere too, casual and welcoming.“

They also sell delicious cannolis and panetone. It’s an authentic Italian bakery made by the most lovely family. The scent of the bakery alone will have you walking out with biscotti in no time!“

“Hamachi shots were insane. The tofu was some of the best I’ve ever had, super soft and fried just a bit for the perfect thin, crispy texture. The sauce for the tofu was also so yum!!! Crab was pretty good, though both the crab and tofu got soggy quickly due to the sauce. The o toro nigiri was honestly the best thing from this dinner. SO. TENDER. Salmon toro and Ebodai (butter fish) were also tender, but the o toro was unmatched. Honestly could’ve passed on the yellowtail maki, it was very rice-y but still good. Yuzu cheesecake was a great way to end this magical meal. We are moved.“

Got the house special selection large size and it came out really fast. Comes with all the ingredients you would expect from an excellent pho. There were a lot of noodles in there and the broth was super tasty! The beef was also quite enjoyable. I would definitely come back to eat more pho.

“Prima Deli is now my goto deli in the area. Their tri-tip sandwiches is one of the best that I have ever had. They cook it in house and use the deli slicer to cut the tri tip, so it is never chewy and always tastes great. The staff is friendly and efficient and there is plenty of seating. Can’t miss this spot.“

We get the bento boxes with teryaki chicken, California rolls, and sashimi (tuna or salmon) the miso soup is great and the salad with that delicious dressing is perfect. We always stop here and you shoukd definitely give it a try.“

The portions were generous (I went for lunch and ended up skipping dinner). The subtle hint of coconut in the rice truly made my day and the curry goat was one of the best I’ve had in a long time—yes, I said it! The service was decent; although our orders got mixed up, the staff were very friendly and apologetic, which made up for it. Overall, a fantastic experience that I’ll definitely be coming back for.“

“We wanted to order 14 pizzas for my kid’s birthday, so We stopped by the store a couple of days before to place the order. The guy at the front, Peter, was super nice and really helpful. Turns out, he’s actually the store manager, which surprised us since he was working up front and helping customers directly.

He walked us through everything, explained the current deals, and made the whole process really easy. Fast forward to the day of the party—Peter himself delivered the pizzas, right on time! He said he just wanted to make sure everything was perfect, which we really appreciated.

The pizzas were hot, fresh, and seriously delicious. We got tons of compliments from guests asking where the food was from, and everyone was impressed when we told them the manager delivered it himself. My husband and I were super happy with how everything turned out, and we’ll definitely be ordering from there again.“
