MADSEN Wineries •
351 Main St, Los Altos

“I had the privilege to attend the soft opening at Madsen, I got a chance to meet the local artist Oleg Lobykin himself! All the art displays are placed artfully along with the lighting in the gallery to capture the story behind each piece. The artwork had a minimalist yet modern feel to them. You can also purchase wine from my personal local favorite wine Byington at this Gallery!. I'm loving this concept for wine and art, as they go hand in hand.“

Los Altos Tasting Room & Bottle Shop Winery • $$
351 Main St, Los Altos

“I frequent Los Altos Tasting room regularly. It is a nice, relaxing place to go to after a hard day at work. The wine is excellent, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable especially Theo and Vince. Many times the owner, Benny, is there and will give you his insight on the different wines he is producing. I highly recommend this establishment.“

Flying Suitcase Wines Winery •
915 Washington St, San Carlos

“The wine at Flying Suitcase is exceptional! I am proud to called myself a wine snob and I can tell you this wine is my favorite wine of any winery. Anders, the wine maker, puts much love and care into each wine and Vikki, who runs the winery, makes your wine tasting experience special, fun, and unique. Every single varietal is amazing! Come visit this gem in San Carlos!“

Mindego Ridge Vineyard Winery •
9645 Alpine Rd, La Honda

“3 of us tasted the new 2021 pinots from Mindego Ridge. The block reserve is a complex wine still slightly tight with a hint of vanilla, fruit and fantastic tannins. Great to drink right now. Put it away, and 3 to 10 years later, it'll be the perfect Pinot. The nonblock reserve is a more fruit forward, but not jammy, pinot with no wrong notes and is delicious right now. As it ages, the fruit will mellow and it reminds me of the 2018 which I still love to drink today. Both can handle a serious meal. Probably the best Pinots yet from Mindego and that saying something! The Block Reserve is the best wine I tasted in 2023.“
