“First time here & first time ever trying Ike’s….i gotta say guys, for what the location & food lacked, Darnell, the cashier made up for BIG TIME, what a great guy. Awesome attitude, very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu & just an overall pleasure to interact with (something AI will never be able to accomplish) the place could use better seating & the prices are…well pricey AFFF but it is a damn good sandwich for sure, but damn $4.65 for a bottle of root beer? That’s wild. Again, Darnell made it all much easier to hand over $21 for a sandwich & soda with his awesome attitude. I would most definitely promote the young man asap as from what I’ve seen, he’s very, very capable & deserving of it ?? keep it up young man, with that attitude & drive, you’ll go far in life bud ?? ….Also the young man & woman working with Darnell were also great…very polite, helpful & great attitudes. The 4 of us had a great, brief conversation about the strange quarter I found in my pocket (American Samoa) ….. anyway, the 3 of them make a great team & should definitely be cultivated to be moved up within the company ??“

“I visited this place last time I visited my niece who live in LA. I tried their pizza. It was very good perfect. I also love Arabic fettuce salad and tried their coffee. Very friendly service.“

“Eric the manager today, Oct. 14, 2024, demonstrated exceptional customer service and friendliness. There was an issue with a female employee which I believe he privately and graciously addressed to my satisfaction. She assumed I was a homeless person in need of a bathroom. I use a walker. She refused to allow me to enter nor did she direct me to a place where I could enter. I never asked for a bathroom. She said I could go to Starbucks next door where there is a bathroom. She did not listen to me at all and was rude and inconsiderate.
Eric was also thorough with my orders and I appreciated it because I made several changes to suit my friends and my tastebuds. He went out of his way to make me feel valued as a customer. And lastly he escorted me to my car and made sure I knew how to enter the restaurant through the parking lot next time. Eric made my experience at Mendocino Farms very very pleasant. “Visited several times now. The star here is their Banh Mi Sandwiches, Vietnamese Coffee, and pastries. Don’t be afraid to ask for a recommendation. The cashiers are tuned into their selection and what other customers have to say.

Depending on what’s ordered the wait time isn’t bad for a small sandwich shop. I dined in each time I visited and found it to be a nice place to sit with earbuds in while I escaped the heat and enjoyed my sandwich and coffee.“

“This is my go to Jersey Mike’s. It’s located conveniently right off the freeway, and the workers there always put my food together with love. The food is always fresh, nvr just thrown together…a few times I’ve come Dangelo, Jose, Oscar, and Armond have all shown the best customer service, always super cool and my favorite sandwich always comes out to perfection. During lunch hours, they should have more cashiers, or more help in general. I felt the 15 minute line to place my order was a bit long for lunch hour, I went at 1:00 p.m., and then we waited another 15 minutes for our sandwiches to come out. It's probably better to place your order online, go in and pick it up, then sit down and eat it. It's probably more efficient. However, I like having the offline experience. I kind of like having the human interaction. But the staff was friendly. It was just slow.“

“You gotta understand that here their bread is 5 stars mate; they don’t use salt in their meats, so note that, you’ll definitely taste the difference. The service is quick, their menu is small but good. And one can assume that every time they come here it’s gunna be a good eat.“

I was so sad when the Westwood location closed but this one is run soooo much better than the old one. The whole crew isn’t high as a kite so all my orders have been correct & ready in a timely fashion even though the restaurant was very busy with takeout orders. 🤗 I’ve eaten there 3 times in 4 days so to say I love it is an understatement! Parking is a breeze & they seem Covid conscious too which is a plus. I did notice some outdoor seating - it’s right by Jamba Juice.“

The Baseline: For a sandwich place, the sandwiches must have fresh, quality ingredients, it must efficiently make my sandwich, additional sides must be available, and there should be unique offerings.

Food: Jimmy John’s is a sandwich chain that has several standards offerings. The bread for sandwiches is of good quality, the meats are good, and the Jimmy Peppers are the unique add on. They have potato salad, pesto pasta, chips, and cookies for extras. Sodas are available for drinks at a self serve drink fountain.

Service: Service is good and I got my birthday side when I came in. No problems with the staff.

Ambience: This is a sandwich shop in a shopping plaza. The shop was clean and the bathrooms were clean enough.“
