“First time here & first time ever trying Ike’s….i gotta say guys, for what the location & food lacked, Darnell, the cashier made up for BIG TIME, what a great guy. Awesome attitude, very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu & just an overall pleasure to interact with (something AI will never be able to accomplish) the place could use better seating & the prices are…well pricey AFFF but it is a damn good sandwich for sure, but damn $4.65 for a bottle of root beer? That’s wild. Again, Darnell made it all much easier to hand over $21 for a sandwich & soda with his awesome attitude. I would most definitely promote the young man asap as from what I’ve seen, he’s very, very capable & deserving of it ?? keep it up young man, with that attitude & drive, you’ll go far in life bud ?? ….Also the young man & woman working with Darnell were also great…very polite, helpful & great attitudes. The 4 of us had a great, brief conversation about the strange quarter I found in my pocket (American Samoa) ….. anyway, the 3 of them make a great team & should definitely be cultivated to be moved up within the company ??“

“I visited this place last time I visited my niece who live in LA. I tried their pizza. It was very good perfect. I also love Arabic fettuce salad and tried their coffee. Very friendly service.“

“Over the past year Lokal has been my absolutely favorite place in LA. If you’re a Venice/ Santa Monica or even marina del ray or Culver City local you have to start regularly coming here.

Not once have I had a bad dish or a bad guest experience. The staff is always incredibly friendly and accommodating, the food and bevvies are super consistent and have not had one miss on this menu.

Whether it’s an on the go AM coffee, a small lunch burger to refuel me or a cozy dinner sandwich to wrap up my day. This place has been the spot.

The prices are extremely reasonably ( if not the most reasonable in West LA) and again, can’t emphasize the overall consistency enough. Love ya lokal!!“

“If there’s one place known for Vietnamese coffee, it’s this one. That sweet, creamy, ice-cold brew will keep you wired longer than any energy drink. It’s strong, but in the best way. Don’t even bother asking for less ice because the drink is meant to be diluted. Without it, the coffee is way too concentrated (even their bottled version at Costco says to mix it with ice or water!).

As for the food, their banh mi are always solid. Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Prices have crept up over the years, but that’s pretty much everywhere now. Still worth the visit.“

“I tried their new chicken salad sandwich. It was probably the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. It was made with just the basic ingredients chicken, celery, and mayonnaise which I find delightful. Every other place I've had a chicken salad sandwich they've always made it with odd ingredients. Walnuts, apples which for some people I'm sure it work for them. Not for me. So to find such a great simple basic recipe that Jersey Mike's put together I was very happy. There was plenty of meat and the bread was exceptionally fresh. I pray they keep it on the menu.“

“Brian was very helpful. The minute I walked in I said hello to the woman Samaythat was there, she did not speak back. At the time Brian was not around. She proceeded to do whatever it was she was doing with the clipboard. She almost made me walk out and not even order. Brian to the rescue walk straight to wash his hand and came to help me. While I dine in. I observed the woman being nice to the other customer which made me feel more uncomfortable because why did she not greet me like she did the Latino man. She practically ignored me and I spoke first. I believe customer service is not how you feel but when you come to work and represent a company you should fake it until you make it. I wanted to leave a TIP but it would of been split between the two of them and only one person deserved the tip and that's Brian. The tip I want to leave for Samantha is when a customer walks in even if your preoccupied, you should say "hello and I'll be with you in a moment or hello give me a moment I'll be right with you.
