“Walking into Old Lightning feels like stepping into Pablo Moix’s private whiskey collection—rare, curated, and full of bottles you’ve only seen in photos. Hidden behind Scopa, the bar features an incredible lineup of high-end spirits: single cask Springbanks, rare Willetts, unique Balvenies, and other bottles you’ll probably never see again. Prices are high (sometimes maybe a bit too high), but you're paying for access to some truly special stuff.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is Oscar. He’s not just pouring drinks—he’s setting the tone for the whole experience. Super knowledgeable, but never pretentious. Inviting, energetic, and clearly passionate about what he does. He listens to what you like, asks the right questions, and then somehow nails exactly what you were in the mood for—whether that’s a rare pour or a killer cocktail you didn’t even know you wanted. His energy really brings the whole vibe together and makes it feel less like a fancy bar and more like a personal tasting experience.
If you're into whiskey or just curious to try something you won’t get anywhere else, it’s definitely worth visiting.”
“The servers ask if you have any allergies and then mark the menu to cross out anything you can't eat, and what they can modify so you can eat it. I have an allium intolerance which is very annoying because it's in a lot of dishes. The marked menu ensured I didnt have to guess and there were no unwanted surprises. They also have outdoor seating, which is important to me because I wear a mask and do not eat indoors. Updated from previous review on 2026-02-10”

“Amazing breakfast and pastries right on the water in Marina Del Rey! Fabulous service too! Highly recommend!”
“Happy New Year Y’all!!🥂✨🤘🏼🥳 As many of you know I’ve been playing piano and singing at Casa Ado in Venice for the last 3.5 years, for a total of 700+ shows. There have been two paintings with me in them, a painted recording of this era of my life! It is unclear what will be happening with the restaurant going forward, as there may be some ownership change. Everyone is sort of holding their breath, and for now, music has not been included in January of 2020. There is talk it could go either way in Feb. 🤷🏻♂️ Thank you all who have come and supported me these past few years on Washington Square and I will keep everyone posted as to what settles out in the next bit of time. For now, I am looking at all the possibilities and have some cool projects lined up on the horizon. Add me as a friend, Stay in touch, and wishing you all the best decade yet! 🥂✨🥳🤘🏼 Love, Mike 🎹🎤❤️”

“Valentine's Day preset menu was delicious. Service was very slow from checking in to getting our waiter to the table to take our order and finally take our payment. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Convenient Valet parking. It was our first time visiting Dear Jane, so we'll have to give it another try during not too busy time.”

“I stopped by HiHo Cheeseburger in Marina del Rey around 3 p.m. on a Saturday, that magical hour when parking is neither impossible nor easy. The restaurant shares a gated lot with REI, which kindly validates two hours.
Inside, the vibe was steady but calm. I ordered the HiHo Double and fries, which arrived in a leisurely fifteen minutes, a dignified wait for 100% grass-fed, grass-finished Wagyu. The burger, though smaller than an In-N-Out Double-Double, was excellent: melty cheese, slow-cooked onions, and crisp lettuce. The fries were fine, but McDonald’s and the BK Lounge can rest easy.
At $10.45, HiHo is in a higher price category than In-N-Out and Shakeshack, but of comparable quality of taste. Worth a visit, but not at the top of my LA/OC burger rotation.
Still a solid 4 stars”

“Really tasty Indian food with a mainly vegetarian menu, cooked and served by some very nice folks. Service was attentive and the kitchen timing was good. The outdoor dining option allows you to take in the local Venice wackiness, which adds to the experience.”
Outdoor Dining
“I went there for my first time today and my family and I loved it. My dads side of the family is from Chihuahua Mexico 🇲🇽 and it was great to enjoy such great food. The prices are so great. I highly recommend this place! I had the Machaca plate and my mom and grandma had the chili relleno enchiladas plate.”
“A very good place to dine and enjoy many kind of beer from lager, pilsner, IPA, stout, and many more. Tasting menu is absolutely a must for first timer. Indoor and outdoor dining area with brewery inspired industrial ambience, Firestone walker brewing company is a place to visit for all beer connoisseurs.”
“While I was visiting LA for Thanksgiving, after strolled around the marina area in Marina del Rey, I came to this Sugarfish restaurant for lunch in a shopping plaza not far from the marina. I was pleasantly surprised: how they serve food, food & service, and price & bill.
Once an order was made edamame is served in no time then the food I ordered came out like a 3 or 4 course meal depending on what you ordered. The sushi was exceptional because they serve as they are made - the temperature of rice was perfect as well as the temperature of fish. How they bill and making payment was the most efficient and straightforward I’ve ever seen. In the bill the final amount includes tax and tip and clearly sated ‘no tipping is necessary.’ Therefore no further calculation with % of tip, then addition and total, processing the credit card twice with customer signature. While I was wondering about the bill the manager noticed and came to explain to me. I wish all other restaurants make the billing and payment as simple as that!”
“We come to Enya often, and love the food and vibe. The rolls are creative, the fish always fresh, and the chefs and staff are welcoming and attentive. One of our fave spots in Venice/MDR!”
“We had the pleasure eating at Baja Cantina yesterday. Delicious food, we had mushroom tacos, chicken fajitas and watermelon margeritas. The best host David, a gentle giant, softspoken and polite - what a great asset to the Baja Cantina team 👏”

“Finally - a solid, quality KBBQ option on the west side!
We ordered Course Combo A for 2, kimchi fried rice, dumplings, and the soybean paste stew. The meat was great quality, our server cooked the meats for us perfectly the entire time, and we left really full and satisfied! While the banchan might not have been as thorough/traditional as some spots in Koreatown, the flavors were still authentic and solid.
The ambiance inside was also nice, bright, and modern, making it the perfect spot for a date night (it's also right next door to AMC!!) or celebratory meal. Parking was also super easy and free in the structure.”
“Nice walk-up bar with great food at the pool deck area at the Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey. The staff is very friendly and helpful; they have numerous servers walking the pool deck to take orders, deliver eats & drinks and make sure the guests stay well-fed and hydrated! They also have outdoor seating at the restaurant patio, some with a fire pit. During our few days staying at this property, they came around about once an hour with free samples of drinks and snacks to try, which was really nice.”
“I swear this is the best food I’ve ever eaten at any restaurant I usually don’t like restaurant food but this place is A1 gravy and the waiter ms ROIX is the best in the building..definitely recommend going there can’t wait till next time THANKS ROIX”

“I seriously couldn't choose what to get because everything looked awesome and healthy. Lots of vegan options, nutrient dense smoothies and grab and go items. Cashier was super nice and patient and made my drink quick. I love that they had grab and go energy bites in the fridge section as well.”
“I’m visiting a new area and I took a chance and ordered from DoorDash. I ordered a half a rack of ribs and even though they came very odd looking there was an extremely healthy portion. (There were not a lot of rib bones, but a lot of the bottom portion of the spare ribs, but I did not mind because it was a generous serving) The barbecue sauce was outstanding and all of the side dishes were delicious. They were running a two for one on some of the sides so I got a ton of food.”
“My neighborhood coffee bean has excellent service Great everything.
Tonight 12 26 2025 salwa, Alexis and the crew was on point with our order. 2 caramel blends x caramel one w/3add shots. Thank you Ladies it was another lady but didn't get any names. **ac* excellence! Keep up the great work!!!”
“From out of town and wanted to stop somewhere and have a beer. So glad we picked this place! Joel and Kata the bartenders were fantastic. No waiting to get served. Beer was ice cold. Very welcoming to out of town guests. Highly recommend”
“Delicious, Persian food. Generous portions, great service and atmosphere.”

“As crazy as our Birthday party was, in the bar, our server, Jose, was awesome. There were 2 or 3 other large gatherings at the Marriott hotel, where Singer is, adjacent to the lobby. However, we felt completely cared for. I ordered the classic burger...I am a burger aficionado... It was awesome! I could say that I am ashamed of all the parmesan fries I ate, but nope, not sorry. They were awesome, as well. I don't know if it's a good or bad reality that this place is only a couple miles from my home because...Oh who am I kidding? I would return to this place of great service, atmosphere, fun and food, no matter the distance. Great job Marriott hotel and Sinder restaurant. We will return...often!”
“Authentic, delicious and wonderful. A true Venice beach gem..! Highly recommend this place and will be back 100%! Thank you for the excellent service and stellar food. 🤙🏽”

“Pinkberry drop in and it has been a bit since I have had Pinkberry. This was a rekindling moment. Pinkberry yogurt is made with real nonfat milk and yogurt with fresh fruit toppings that are hand-cut daily. Let's jump right into this review.
This location is in Marina Del Rey inside a bustling shopping center. A few shops and plenty of food options.
Things to know -
** Single swirl or side-by-swirls offered. **
1. Variety of flavor options, which but the OG Sweet/Tart & Pomegranate is always available. Different Seasons bring different flavors. Currently- Summer Melon Crush is available! During my visit we tried Blueberry Lavender and it was really good!!!
2. Variety of toppings offered.
3. Light and low calories if you don't add all the sweet toppings.
4. Reasonable prices.
5. They offer ice bags for yogurt you are taking to-go. I really like this because your yogurt stays cold on the way home.
6. Excellent customer service.
7. Dining in, go right ahead. A few tables and chairs inside. Cute decor. You want some vitamin D, dine outside, location has plenty of outdoor seating in the shopping center.
During peak hours this shopping center is full of folks and cars. Parking can be a challenge. Just something to note.
Pinkberry is light and refreshing - great treat all year long.”
“Today was my first time stopping by Ike's but it most definitely will not be my last! Jake greeted me with the friendliest smile and answered every question I had as a new customer. Believe me I had a lot! He even gave me his favorite order after my probing. *The Menage a trois with french bread, lettuce, red onion, pickles and banana peppers. His genuineness and energy told me I could trust him, so I ordered and joked that I knew where he worked if he led me astray. I am happy to report that Jake told no lies. The sandwich was AMAZING!!!! I also got the Hollywood's SF cheesesteak for my husband. He also loved his choice. I ended up buying two combos. I look forward to returning. I hope Jake is working that day!!! :-)”
“I wanna thank James and Evelyn for being the best !!! I love their customer service and great hospitality I just love it here !!! They both were the bomb hands up !!!!! This is the best location to stop by in Marina del Rey California !!! Best frappe ever Anna cold brew as well !!”
“Super relaxing patio on the waterfront. Dog friendly place, so lots of cute pups come with their people.
The food was good, and nice portions. Above all, the service was great. Going back again this weekend for brunch!”

“Stopped by as the sun was setting and it was getting cooler. Jeff had some great music playing and invited me up to his table. I went for the chefs choice which was a Louisiana style link with the trimmings. I initially thought it was a made up location but it ended up being great food and conversation with the owner so the next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely stop by again.”
“I live in this area. my first trip here was great and I received great customer service and the coffee was good. the second trip I encountered someone who didn't really greet me when I came to the counter even though I was the only one and she wasn't really busy and the coffee she made was not that great because it was almost all oat milk on top and the syrup on the bottom. they definitely have very good pastries but the coffee is more questionable.”
