“We ate here several times whilst staying at MDR. I could not fault. Excellent customer service. Waiting staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.

“Our waiter, Jorge , was rude, intolerable and unacceptable. We have been patrons at Canter's since it started in Boyle Heights. I was a baby. It's a tradition. I've never been so embarrassed and disappointed for taking my family, my Jewish stepfather for the first night of Hanukkah received rolled eyes annoying breaths for asking for a refill of coke, he was insulted under the breath of being bothered by a barely busy waiter. In the last fifty years, the worst waiter I've ever experienced. Instead of introducing himself and asking what we would like to start with, we received “ it's the first night of Hanukkah, what do you want, tap tap tap, rolling eyes, better order now or we will run out” not in a cool east coast deli attitude way, in a grumpy rude, I don't want to be here, hurry up and order way. We're still talking about how horrible Jorge was. He ruined our first night's Hanukkah. We love Canter's and we will never stop dining there. But we never ever want to be waited by Jorge. “Went here for breakfast recently and the food was good and the service was prompt. But what really impressed me was I used the restroom and the soap dispenser was empty. I informed the manager and he not only refilled the soap dispenser but brought over to the table a big bottle of hand sanitizer for my hands which was truly impressive. “Whenever we are even close to Downtown LA and staying in a hotel for a night or more, we have IHop delivered. It is just the best.

We have eaten at this one more than once and it is clean, the service just great and the whole place is very comfortable. The servers are always nice.

This time we had it delivered and it was, as always so good. They pack it all in such a way there is no way it can get ruined or food mixed with other food. The delivery is fast and I have never had an issue, not once.

This time we had burgers, which were so good with bacon and cheese. My grandson had a grilled cheese sandwich with French fries and he loved it. I am the huge pancake lover in the family so I had their big breakfast that comes with the best, most fluffy and perfect pancakes along with hash browns and bacon, ham and sausage. It was all great and I saved the meat for our dogs who were waiting for us to get home (we were at a hotel nearby).

It is just the best and the prices are so fair. You will pay much more for some fancy place, but their pancakes won't be as good.
