“Absolutely incredible banh mi sandwich. The bread was incredibly fresh, and the tofu and mushroom filling was very flavorful. Can’t recommend highly enough. Also, Alvin (co-owner) is a true class act gentleman. Can’t recommend the experience highly enough.“

“I'm in town for an event and we were looking for a place open to eat. We found this place and it is a gem! I ordered a Jasmine tea & Pho Nam (brisket). It was SO good! One of the best bowls of pho I've had in quite some time. The broth was perfectly flavored and the meat was good as well. My tea also tasted great without any sweetner added to it. My friend ordered a bun combo with a side soup and also said it was very good. We ordered and got our food pretty quickly. The server was friendly and very attentive. The pricing was also very good for the portions you get. I paid for our teas & both meals and it came out to $34+tip. If I'm ever back in town, I would definitely eat here again!“

“The restaurant is a small family owned business. The woman who runs this place is so sweet! She's super fast and her English is really good. They only accept cash, so make sure you bring some with you! Their thai tea and bun bo hue with blood was our absolute favorite 😍. The best I've ever had! The portions was perfect to fill you up and I asked for rice noodle instead of vermicelli and she was able to accommodate with no questions asked. She also helped my friend spice hers up to a very satisfying level! We both spent less than $20 each for a meal and drink.“

“Sister's cafe is a lovely place, where one can reliably get good food, no matter when you come. We've been going there for years now and have never been disappointed.
Staff is super friendly and the best of all, it's actually still affordable compared to the majority of places around LA.
They close a bit early, so I recommend to make sure to arrive no later than 8 pm. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious! Can't go wrong.
This is a perfect place to enjoy dinner out during the work week and not go broke while doing it.
One of my favorites is the curry hot pot with chicken!!
I highly recommend this place“

“Nong La has a dedicated Canto Viet man diligently directing the back of the house day in and day out, making sure the food hits their level of comfortable consistent cuisine, which won’t exactly blow minds or taste buds, but fills an exotic unfamiliar question mark into a manageable modern meal. But there’s this really Skinny Canto Viet lady bossing a bunch of diverse ppl around… she’s kinda scary at times and fiery at times… I suspect Nong La (Nong La means Burning) was named after the hot heat came from her own… hot… …..!😉🤓🔥🥵)“

“The food is very flavorful and of excellent quality. The owner and server is a very friendly and warm person as well. You can tell that this is a family owned establishment but I think that adds charm. Another customer who didn’t speak english very well came in while we were eating and the owner took his time and used what little spanish he knew to help the customer to his best ability. You can tell that he goes the extra mile to make his customers happy! Would definitely come again ❤️“

“Love the shrimp spring rolls and egg rolls. My daughter loves the pho and my husband likes his grilled pork and rice. We were able to dine in at 11pm. Glad we were able to make it, esp after arriving from a transatlantic flight. Thank you for the good food.
Kid-friendliness: They have a high chair and kiddie utensils that came with a scissor.“

“This place comes highly recommended by many, and I can see why. The owner does ask if you want drinks, and if you decline, you might notice a bit of attitude 😅. It’s a little off-putting, but thankfully the food is pretty good, so it’s not a total miss.
The overall flavor leans quite sweet, so if you’re used to more savory or salty dishes, keep that in mind.
• The beef pho has a sweeter broth, more like Southeast Asian style 🐄🍜.
• The Pad Thai is also on the sweet side, with noodles that are a bit sticky but tasty 🍤🍋.
Portions are generous and prices are reasonable, so it’s great value for money. If you enjoy the sweeter balance typical of Thai or Vietnamese cuisine, you’ll probably enjoy this spot!“

“I can’t remember how many times with being at pho fever…
The food here is really good and it doesn’t taste artificial at all. the service here 100 out of 100 no doubt!
There are plenty of unique dishes over here, for example fried banana that I really liked and wonton pho is probably what I order the most. The spring rolls with the SAUCE, please try that whenever you want to eat healthy, light yet fulfilling!
They do vegetarian versions too!
You’ll love it here!“

“I am glad because there are not many places around here that serve good Pho.
The soup is light but very tasty with just the right amount of salt.
It took about 15 minutes to be served.
No alcoholic beverages are sold.
Will visit again.“

“Hidden gem in LA. Great customer service even at late night. Good taste! Good spicy level for spicy crispy chicken. Greta taste on pho soup. Price is on a bit high level for the quantity. Total $72 plus tips for 4 dishes.
We will visit this place again when we visit LA.“

“We started with spring rolls (the crispy rolls were highly recommended) and won tons. Entrées were crab noodle and sweet and sour duck, but they brought us a katsu-type chicken with rice, let us keep the mistake, and we had coffee crème brûlée for desert. The fried food was tasty, but a little heavy, good portion size and wonderful flavor (for the prices). Only drank water, but every part of the menu was well attended, not to mention the house and service, and although our area of the room was a little dark, it was good ambience.“

“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“Officially one of my favorite spots in LA! Everything about this place is PERFECTION.
Stumbled upon this and am so glad we went in!
Photos of almost everything we ordered. Definitely great portions to share and enjoy for appetizers. It was my first time having a Vietnamese crepe and I’m so happy I had it here! Spring rolls always slap so you knowwww that had to happen!
The pho. I can’t even begin to explain and let you understand the flavorsssss. Wow. Please go and enjoy.“

“Reviews are mixed, but my experience was alright and Id give 3.8/5. The pho broth is on the sweeter side and had a lot of flavor, which I liked. The egg rolls were probably precooked or sitting under a heat lamp since it came out literally a minute after ordering. The noodles in the pho were pre-cooked and one big clump, but I was able to give it a few stirs, and it was good to go.
Overall atmosphere is dated. It's old style mom and pop. There was a worker in there playing a game or watching a drama on his phone with the speaker at max volume, so it was so distracting and annoying. Very rude to customers trying to dine.
Service was good. Orders taken promptly, and the grandma came over to check up and refill waters.“

“I have been eating at this restaurant for the last 5 years and I absolutely love the yellow chicken curry. It's actually the only thing I've ever gotten and I've gotten it over 60 times. I just tried the pad Thai chicken noodles last night for the first time and although it tasted really great, I noticed my heart was racing a little bit after I ate it which only happens when I consume MSG. I seem to be the only one in my family that is sensitive to MSG, but I definitely feel it. There's been many studies about how MSG is not very healthy for most people so I'm leaving this comment in hopes that pad Thai on Beverly follows what many other restaurants are doing and removes MSG as an ingredient in certain dishes. Luckily, they do not use MSG in the yellow chicken curry. Again, this is a really amazing restaurant.“

“Absolutely loved my experience at Phorage Vietnamese Bistro + Bar in WeHo! The cheese steak sandwich was amazingly delicious and beyond anything I expected, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. On a different visit, I tried their Pho Ox Tail, and it was incredibly rich and super flavory, exactly what you’d hope for in a comforting bowl of pho. The atmosphere is chill and welcoming. Shoutout to the waitress who helped me out when I couldn’t decide what to order, she was super friendly and gave me great suggestions that hit the spot. Highly recommend this gem!“

“I looked at the other reviews, and I didn’t see anything wrong with the noodles and meat in my oxtail pho… The noodles were served separately from the oxtail and the broth and noodles were piping hot. I did down to the last IMHO this is the best place for oxtail pho!!
Note that Google hours are not currently correct, this place closes in the 1 AM range. See snapshot of hours…“

“As other reviews have said, the service here isn't the best. If you don't let that get to you the food here is absolutely delicious. I come here fairly regularly with my boyfriend and we just joke about the service and don't take it too seriously. The pho and honestly all of their food come in huge portions. I would say it's worth a try if you're willing to overlook the service. I've never had them be outrightly rude or snappy to me but I know they can be impatient/short with customers.“
