“Wow it's been 20 yrs. Since my dad passed. We no longer have Luis's which I'm sry I grew up with and loved. So we go for some authentic mexican. We had crispy beef tacos, cheese enchiladas. And 3 enchilads beef. Chicken and cheese. It was just awful. Tortillas were store bought and extra charge, sauce and salsa for chips tasted like out of a jar or can. Beans were good.Waiter was surly felt not one smile beneath that mask.(I saw the black girl's comment) We are white if that helps) Service was fast. Ambiance is great but I was just really cravin some good authentic mexican. We won't be back.left most of our food on the plate. $79.00 for 3 of us.“

“I been to 5 mexican restaurants in the Rancho area, and this is our favorite spot. Meats are well seasoned, food is really good and prices are pretty reasonable. Every time I been there,.customer service has been great! I recommend their birria Thursdays!“

“Generous portions, perfectly cooked shrimp, and flavors that hit every note, pure magic! This restaurant is my mom's favorite (she and her bestie are regulars), and I was lucky enough to catch them before they left so I could place a to-go order. My go-to test at any Mexican restaurant is the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (garlic butter shrimp), and I was thrilled to see it on the menu here. Ordering takeout is always a gamble since you're not at the restaurant if something isn't right but I believe quality should be consistent whether dining in or taking food to go. Thankfully, this place delivered in every way. The shrimp were succulent, large, not skimpy, and cooked perfectly. The garlic butter was rich and flavorful without being overpowering, and the sautéed onions balanced it all out. Even the refried beans stood out (something many places surprisingly get wrong). The rice was fairly standard...on the drier side but when mixed with the beans and that delicious garlic butter from the shrimp, it turned into a whole new level of flavor. That's how I made my burritos (that's how I eat this plate, I have to wrap it all up in a flour tortilla. Let me tell you, it was absolute magic! Portions were generous, I could tell the meal was thoughtfully prepared, and every bite was pure satisfaction. The only downside was the styrofoam packaging (I'm not a fan of that), but it didn't take away from how incredible the food itself was. This restaurant easily earns my seal of approval. I'll definitely be ordering from here again because when I say the food was amazing with a capital A, I mean it!“

“What a gem! Hiding in plain sight! I got a shredded chicken burrito (all lean meat) and a carne asada taco for around 7$ WHAT?? The carne asada was thinly shredded, tender and delicious not like cheap beef. No gristle or chunks of fat. Also it was BIG for the price 3 stars for atmosphere only because it's a little grocery store in a modest older building. The people working the counter were warm and welcoming. If you want your money to go further and still get some good authentic food check it out. To go/takeout only, great fast stop for a meal!“

“I enjoyed eating here when I lived in the area and it was nice to stop by for a hungry bite again. They have a next level salsa bar and their plates are generously portioned. Prices have gone up noticeably since I last came here to enjoy some Mexican food. It's not quite the value that it was. Their plates used to be $13.99 and that's gone up to $17 for comparison. That said, they offer overall quality food.“

Even my spanish friends who barely speak english know of it and highly recommend it and it's regarded as the best Mexican food restaurant in the greater Sacramento area by a lot of people that I know. I only go for the food but they have a full bar and lot's of tv's. The food is the best part, as it should be in any restaurant; it's why we go. It's taco truck level quality with the whole restaurant experience and when I say taco truck quality food I mean that level of quality you'd expect from a single person who's worked on the same equipment for decades. It's clean, has bathrooms, really nice employees and that special mucho beuno absolutely bomb food. The menu is huge! And honestly, the bigger and more complex menu a restaurant has, typically, the lower quality food you'll find there but this place is the exception to that rule. Go there, try it, and then you'll know.

Parking: Plenty of parking although I wouldn't be surprised if the lot was full seeing how good this place is. If so, easily park on the other side of northgate.

Wheelchair accessibility: I can't see why a wheelchair user couldn't get to it. Wide open and level, flat sidewalk out front.“

If I remember correctly, 8 big screen TVs circled the dining area/bar. Several different sports channels were on, but muted. The ambiance Mexican music just felt better anyways.“

Food was absolutely perfect and was out very quickly. Drinks were delicious and refreshing. Very family friendly environment. We will for sure be back and highly recommended going. “The alpastor is super flavorful! The torta is sizable and the ingredients taste fresh, the bread was soft and soaked up the alpastor well. The salsa is absolute fire. Horchata was less flavorful or sweet, but that made it a lot much more of a refreshing beverage vs a sweet drink like a lot of places do. Will definitely be here again“

“Last week I went to OMG Cocina because I was craving some Mexican food, and wow—what a delightful surprise! I walked in expecting to grab some tacos, but when I spotted black pozole on the specials board, I just had to try it (I’m a huge pozole fan!). I usually stick to red pozole, so this was a totally new adventure for my taste buds. From the very first spoonful to the last, I was grinning—the rich flavors, the perfect blend of spices, and that incredible mix of roasted peppers with a hint of citrus had my taste buds dancing with joy. Absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be going back, and I can’t wait to explore the rest of their menu!“
