“Absolutely loved my experience here! From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu

“This place is the bomb !!! Got hungry after hiking ladders canyon and came across this place. Food was absolutely delicious ! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food on this side of the border this place is it ! Definitely will be making my way back here soon . The owner and her family are also very kind , friendly and very welcoming. Definitely added to the wonderful experience.“

“So far on our way to slab city… stopped at the last del taco before Mexicali. Off of 66th Mecca ca. Coolest dude ever! Very chill like told us it was shift change and we had no problem waiting. Super kind even tho we were being the stupid stoners we are. And hooked it up for us! Now it’s people like that that make my heart happy! Thank you sir 🙏🏼“

“We were looking for a sweet treat, did a quick search, and ended up here—and we’re so glad we did. The menu is simple and focused entirely on raspados, and they truly specialize in them. The flavors were delicious, and the texture of the ice was perfect—every bite was packed with flavor.
The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and efficient, which made the experience even better. If you’re in the area and craving something refreshing, this spot is definitely worth a visit.“

“We came almost closing, and they were still very nice to us. Their chips and salsa had a great kick and was on the spicier side, but we loved it. The fried fish was good and pretty large for $18. Their Birria is what they’re known for and was very good. It had a great flavor and came with a homemade flour tortillas and was packed with meat. Even the medium bowl was too much for me to finish. The michelada was very good too and going into this restaurant felt like going into someone’s home for some homemade birria.“

“Great place eat. Had the carne asada burrito and my wife had the "mini tacos" aka Street Tacos. Definitely adding it to our pit stop list when driving to California.“
“Love the Tacos!! Always go there on a Tuesday or Thursday for their tacos. They have some amazing Salsa as well. The workers are always very friendly and nice. Definitely will be visiting them again when im in town. Try their burritos as well! Huge and delicious.“

“First time visiting Taqueria Mazatlan and we were extremely impressed!
We were greeted within seconds of walking in, and once seated, the staff went above and beyond by bringing us samples of their different meats since it was our first time. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The food was exceptional, but the amazing service made the experience even better.
Definitely the best taco food truck we’ve tried in this area — we’ll absolutely be back!“

“Been coming to this little restaurant for over 5 years and I am only saddened that I discovered it late. My husband holds very dear memories of this place as a child. “I come in here all the time for diesel and propane. I rarely go inside as I can use my card out side. Last time I did, and I bought some fried burritos. Lots of day workers in and out and it's a busy place. They carry CV coffee roaster and it's a delicious coffee from a local vendor!“

“I ate breakfast at The Plaza Restaurante on Wed April 23, 2025. I had an omelet. It was huge. Very delicious, too. The waitress was wonderful! Sorry I didn’t get her name to give a shoutout to. She kept the restaurant very clean & sparkling. They are also dog friendly with patio dining in front. 🐶 I would recommend The Plaza Restaurante in Mecca, CA whole heartedly.“
