“It's a very nice Mexican restaurant. My waiter was great and the food came out fast. I only have one complaint. I'm from the Midwest, Kansas and our Mexican food is served with ground beef, not shredded meat unless you order fajitas. I guess it's a California thing to use shredded meat instead of ground beef. Next time I google a Mexican food restaurant, I'll check out the menu first to see if they use ground beef!!“

Yes it is a Mexican restaurant but the food and the Cadillac margaritas are truly memorable, the experience is similar to exquisite dining. No table cloths no cloth napkins limited upscale decorations but a restaurant we always visit from Phoenix.“

“We have been coming to Taco Gonzales for YEARS, and it has truly become one of our family’s favorite places. The food is always delicious, but what really makes this place special is the people.

This is a family-run restaurant, and they genuinely make you feel like you’re part of their family. Armando, Anna, and Alex are the familiar faces we see most often, and their second son also helps in the kitchen. Every time we come in, we’re greeted with that warm, welcoming feeling that you just don’t get everywhere.

And I have to mention one very important detail: my youngest daughter LOVES the carne asada tacos here — tortillas and all! 😂 This is actually the ONLY place where she will eat the tortilla with her carne asada tacos. Anywhere else, she eats the carne and leaves the tortilla behind. So clearly, Taco Gonzales has figured out something special!

After all these years, we keep coming back not only because the food is so good, but because it feels like we’re visiting people we know and care about. “This restaurant has been around for 60 years. I have been a regular guest for 5 years. The staff is very professional and friendly! If you want a pleasant experience, I will look for you there! The menu is full of great dishes and if you like Margaritas, the ladies will set you up nicely! Located in Old Indio, they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner! They have outdoor seating and any restaurant around this long means they are very good!!“

I've tried their Al Pastor tacos, carne asada and suadero and its a really good flavor. In my opinion their Al Pastor is very authentic; it reminds me of my childhood in Mexico.“

“Tacos Galaktikos is seriously one of the best food trucks I’ve tried! The food is always fresh, full of flavor, and the portions are really good for the price. I had the al pastor tacos and birria nachos and everything was packed with flavor, especially the meat and salsas. The aguas frescas were also super refreshing. Service was fast and friendly, and the whole vibe of the truck is really cool and unique. Definitely coming back again and recommending it to everyone!“
