“Went through the drive-through as a quick stop before our 4 hour drive back home. The veggie burrito was great (I don't like vegetables but want to and thought I'd give it a try ?). However, when I asked for no egg on mine, they took the egg off both and left my hubby's veggie burrito without. He wasn't happy because he wanted the egg and was hungry soon after.Just be clear on what you want, and you should be good.“
“Dine in area is really clean, Food was fresh and done quick, Overall was a good experience for a Del TacoKid-friendliness: A clean and suitable place for children. Booths for a small sized family and kidsWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that leads to the entrance and allows for wheelchair access“
“New favorite in the desert. We come to town every year for the tennis tournament and test out restaurants. Los Primos is tucked in a strip mall next to the Starbucks and feels like a hole in the wall kind of place.Great foodFriendly staffCleanPrompt serviceVery reasonable pricesWe had the blueberry French toast, very good 10/10 flavor. There is a cinnamon crunch on the outside w firm, custardy inside. First bite to the last, delicious. Also the huevos rancheros, a little different than I’ve had before and the Smokey ranchero sauce grew on me bite after bite. Delish house potatoes were perfectly crunchy and flavorful as well. We’ll stop by again next year to work our way through the menu.“
“The atmosphere at this establishment is exceptional, and the customer service is truly amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who exuded humility and positivity. I highly recommend trying their delicious margarita tower. While enjoying the beautiful mountain views, you can savor authentic Mexican delights. Thank you, Jaime, for a wonderful experience.Parking: Right in front of the restaurant“
“The food was good and reasonably priced. Service was quick as I can for lunch. I did pick up a weird smell as I was near the window. Kinda odd almost as if a dog or someone had peed. Other than that smell popping up a couple times I am giving it 5 stars. Burger and fries were delicious.“
“This is one of the best Mexican restaurants that we tried around this area. The service is very friendly. We chose Perlita andLengua En Salsa Verde. Both were delicious. The shrimps were cooked perfectly, tender and tasty. The "beef tongue with the green sauce" is an interesting dish to experience. We were not disappointed at all.“
“Great food. Huge praise to the Chef and his back of house. No praise to the front. Our server was like an NPC stuck on repeat. Bald guy with glasses. I don’t know his name, because he never said more the three words when at our table. Never came back to our table to offer us another cocktail. We had to ask when we saw him which was rare. When dessert arrived. I got the churro dropped onto me by the busser.I got a brief “sorry” before he walked away and my partner had to tell him to bring plates and spoons for us and an extra napkin so I could clean myself up.Not a cheap place. But for the creativity on the food I’ll pay, but not tip. The tip we did leave should have gone to the BOH. I would have preferred a robot to this server we got. And that’s coming from a fellow restaurant employee.“
“The food is very good, the only thing I don't like is that your clothes stink with the smell of oil and I don't know if they need a good hood to absorb that bad smell so that it doesn't permeate the clothes or I should change that iron they have On the front I think that is what causes it. But the flavor of the tacos is very good..“
“I had the 111 poloma, the nachos with pastor (no jalapeños, guacamole on the side), the carne asada burrito. The table had the chips, salsa, and guacamole. The nachos are easily among the best that I have had in the Coachella valley. The burrito was very good. The burrito was served with choice of red and green salsa. I asked for both. The red salsa was okay on the burrito. I didn’t care for the green salsa. The burrito was even better once smothered in the requested habanero sauce. The salsa served with the chips was flavorless. I cannot recommend the salsa.Folks at the table that ordered the pozole said it was good after requesting and adding fresh chopped jalapeños and habanero, along with habanero sauce.I will be happy to return to this restaurant and will recommend it to my friends.“
“Food was quality! Service was fantastic. A bit on the pricey side. Four dollars for a Coca-Cola a little much. But the value of the food did outweigh the cost. Next time I'm getting a glass of water. Horchata was fantastic. The guacamole was fantastic. Food was fantastic. The Gonzales burrito was basically a California burrito but quality. Overall quality experience. But overall great great experience. I would definitely recommend tacos Gonzales.“
“Such a great establishment. Warmly welcomed the minute you walk in the door. Great menu and phenomenal food. Staff, owner and fellow customers (appear to be regulars) are very helpful.I can’t rate it high enough. The owner has a great sense of humour and is such a thoughtful individual, who was interested in learning the food specialties where we are from and took time to warmly thanked us as we were leaving. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. If you haven’t tried it yet, get going. It’s phenomenal. The brisket on Saturday is amazing!!!Parking: We’ve never had an issue parking there. Street parking and a lot on the side of the building.“
“We had just flown into Palm Springs so were looking for a light dinner close to our condo. The Cantina had pretty good food although we were fortunate to catch happy hour prices. Even then, a small street taco was $5. It’ll probably take me a while to get used to CA prices again although being part of the Saguaro hotel likely didn’t help. Not sure we’ll go back but it was an overall good experience.“
“Go-to spot for lunch before grocery shopping for our family. The prices definitely match the amount of food you get. The flavors are delicious in all plates I've tried, and the generous salsa and condiments station, and aguas frescas are the best. It's always packed at lunch in the middle of the week and the flavor and hospitality are definitely the reason. Great staff on top of orders whether it's dine in, take out, or ordered ahead of time. Authentic flavors hands downParking: Parking can be a bit packed but we've always found a spot.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and small meals menu to accommodate smaller appetites. Staff always extra friendly to kids“
“I loved this place. We were seated outside in this large pavilion area with fantastic lighting and greenery all around. Service was great and attentive, and my Sante Fe omelette was one of the better omelets that I have had in my life. Side of toast, potatoes, and perfect amount of spice. Menu was also extensive, my one complaint was not being able to try more items on the menu. Next time I go, I will definitely choose to go sweet, but it will be challenging not to go back to savory with the fantastic egg dishes! By the way, get the freshly squeezed orange juice.“
“Originally we came for ice cream but when we noticed their turkey sandwich, so we got one to share. It exceeded our expectations. It was toasted and had all the fixings like tomato, lettuce, melted mozzarella cheese, bacon, chipotle Aioli on a sourdough bread. WE DEVOURED IT SO FAST, I'm sorry there isn't a picture to prove it. We also got a banana split and churros locos. A lot, I know but we shared and it was delicious.“
“Let me tell you a story about three people from Canada who were starving and thirsty on Easter Sunday…We had gone to three restaurants which were all closed for Easter and were beginning to lose hope on finding somewhere to eat. We stumbled upon a restaurant called Cass Luna and thought “we will go try this place out”. We entered and immediately knew we had found the Promised Land as the smell and atmosphere engulfed us. We were quickly seated and treated to margaritas and corn chips with amazing guacamole. The servers and staff were very friendly and provided top tier hospitality and service. And when the food we ordered arrived, I cannot express to you how delicious and wonderful the food was… the meats were all perfect and every single plate was empty by the end. The margaritas were some of the best we have ever tasted. If you are visiting please make the time to stop here as it will change your life. Needless to say, we are stopping again tonight as we just couldn’t get enough. 10/5 starts for Casa Luna ???Dietary restrictions: My father is a celiac and he could basically order whatever he wanted as they are delicious corn tortillas and minimal flour usage.“
“Seriously amazing food and service you will not regret picking this place, the wait was a little long for the food but trust me it's worth the wait you can tell it's just the best cuts of meat their steaks were so delicious and the tacos omg too good loved it and I'm going back very soon!“
“While eating at the neighboring El Salvador Cafe, we saw the bright colors on the patio of Loco Charlie's and decided to dine here for lunch the next day. Beto greeted us and let us select any of the tables inside or outside. After we chose one on the patio, he brought over our waters, a basket of chips and two bowls of salsa. The first serving of chips and salsa comes free, but it's an extra cost if you want a refill. The menu here is so extensive and they offer basically everything (and probably more) than what you'd expect at a Mexican restaurant. Beto recommended the fajitas so that helped me narrow down my decision. Overall, he was super personable and we enjoyed conversing with him, connecting on the topic of the Pacific Northwest. CHICKEN FAJITAS ($21.99): A HUGE serving which I'm sure could easily be two portions for many people. The chicken became a little dry as it continued cooking on the sizzling plate, but it had good flavor from a savory and slightly sweet marinade. The peppers and onions were still somewhat crisp and had developed a nice char. A separate plate contained two tortillas, Spanish rice, refried beans, lettuce, pico de gallo and guacamole. For the price, the amount of food was quite generous. I had enough leftovers to make for a light dinner. If you are in the mood for fajitas, but want a smaller serving, consider getting the Fajita Tacos. It's the fajita meat and vegetables, assembled into taco form, also served with a side of beans and rice. Throughout lunch, Beto provided great service and stopped by a couple times to check on us. The owner, Charlie, was also helping out that day and visited our table to say hello. Everyone in my group was happy with their meals, so I'd consider this a solid spot for Mexican food. Side notes: - There is plenty of parking since the restaurant is located alongside other shops and eateries. - The restaurant is not far from the airport. With planes taking off every few minutes, it is pretty loud, so the patio isn't the best place to hold a conversation.“
“This is a fairly newer spot in RM, but it's great! Taco Tuesday is a hit! The handmade tortillas were thin and super yummy, plenty of meat in the tacos, too. My hubby ordered the Tostada Mixta from their main menu and was impressed with the freshness, flavor, and serving portion. We're definitely going back! Paloma, our waitress was cheerful, friendly, and helpful - but I think they needed more wait staff, they were pretty busy... That's the only reason they didn't get a 5 star for service.“
“Best Mexican food I have ever had. I got the birria tacos, out of this world good. We were in town for one night after a race, asked the lady at the hotel front desk where to eat and she said this place. They had a live band playing the night we were there, don’t know if this is a weekly thing or not but they were great! We live in Oregon but often think about flying to Palm Springs just to eat here again. I will make it back to try their tamales, they were out the night we went. Highly recommend“
“This place is one of my favorite "go-to's" when I'm not sure what I want. Here's why- they've got huge variety to choose from American to Mexican, good old fashioned huge charbroiled burgers, sandwiches, melts, salads, and large selection of breakfast that's served ALL day & night long. Did I mention they let you substitute the sides from fries to onion rings to zucchini fries to even garden salad. Oh, and the zucchini fries are huge and delish!“
“My family and I haven't been coming here since the 90s. Whenever we are in the low desert and want Mexican food this is our go to. Salsa is good, so are the margaritas. They have excellent pork tamales as well. Our relatives that come out from North Carolina always ask to come here too when they're visiting. Service is excellent. Not exactly a quiet atmosphere if you're there when they're busy, but not too bad.“
“I apologize but I have been going to get food at this location ever since they opened. I should have given a review from the start, but I wanted to wait until I truly experienced all of what they have to offer. All I have to say is, AMAZING. Everything from their carnitas tacos to carne asada nachos is the best. I can say I even drink their hot sauce lol. You want food that gives every bang for the buck, you need to go here. They are such wonderful people to deal with, which makes it even better.“
“Amazing, authentic, delicious!! All the food we got was great! Service was also great! I couldn't decide between the chicken mole and the beef Beria and so to accommodate they gave me a side of the mole with my dish for free! I had the hibiscus drink as well which was delicious and we got also got the fried ice cream which tasted like dessert cereal tbh. I liked it and it was tasty, but I'd recommend just go with the flan.“
“First time from LA visiting this restaurant and we are in love. Revia our server was the friendliest and most professional ever. We got the best drinks( Cadillac margarita and michelada ) was perfectly crafted. Fajitas and carne asada yum yum can’t wait to come back and visit TQLAS. PS I have my Best friend pet with me he is a 2 year old shiba inu and he got the best friendly iced water and treats!!! Yup he loves this place too.Kid-friendliness: PS I have my Best friend pet with me he is a 2 year old shiba inu and he got the best friendly iced water and treats!!! Yup he loves this place too.“
“We have been to this Casa Mendoza a few times in the last couple of weeks. Beautiful decor. Great service. Really good food. Sit inside or outside, they both are great. Nice nice bar. Make sure to get the guac. YUMM! Looking forward to going back tomorrow. You won't be disappointed.“
“Who knew you could get ribs at a Mexican food restaurant!! The ribs were meaty, the glaze delicious. Came with a side of veggies which were zucchini veggie mix. So yummy. I wasn't crazy about the mashed potatoes as they had some type of sauce mixed in. I'd still order this item again, I'd just choose a different side. The server was awesome, chips were hot, crispy with off the hook salsa. A few of our friends ordered the chili rellenos which were a generous size. I will definitely be back again soon. We arrived on a Sunday at 3, which is a perfect time as the lunch rush was over and right before dinner. We got a great table and the ambiance was relaxing . We had a excellent dinning experience!!“
“I haven’t posted in some time. I haven’t been to restaurants worthy of a post, but this restaurant is a must. When my wife recommended Chula I was bit spectacle. Our waiter Tim recommended the Chile Relleno and my wife order the chilaquiles. I absolutely loved the Chile Relleno filled with shrimp, bacon and the green salsa was delicious.“
“We just had a good dinner at Fresh Agave. We had a delightful waitress so Service was good too. We asked for another basket of chips to go with our dinner and we're told we were going to be charged for it. I've never heard of a charge for chips or salsa Mexican restaurant. There were four of us eating, and I commented to the waitress that if we had been two people at a table We would've gotten another basket but she said we would've gotten a smaller basket. I know prices are higher and the menu reflected that but really charging for extra chips? I think that's excessive.“
“I've lived in the area close to 4 years, I've seen this restaurant before and until this past week end I decided to try it. I got the feeling of out of towers hang out...alcohol bottles on the counter and also the first page of the menu. You don't get warm chips that's for sure, salsa was just ok. I ordered the carne asada torta which was delicious. It was on the best I've had. It reminded me of the one my mom used to make for us as kids. Food came quick. I was disappointed it came with shoestring fries. Our server was anything but friendly, she kept her conversation almost to two words. The Mexican restaurant didn't have horchata, so I got the Jamaica, it wasn't generous on the tip, I'd come again. Maybe take out.“
“What a nice place to get lunch and tasty Mexican food. The service could be friendlier, but I like the set up and how clean everything is. The staff kinda acts like you are bothering them when you ask for anything. But overall I will be back cause I liked my food.“
“The wife and I traveled from Riverside to DHS to buy a vintage table and came upon this jewel when we headed back home. We found wonderful authentic food and warm and friendly service. Reasonable prices and a relaxed place to eat. If we are ever back in the area we will defiantly stop by. Give them a try small but nice.Wheelchair accessibility: Well cared for special attention“
“This place was unexpected for me and my wife on whim. So dang good. We are locals and will be back. Thank you for the good food. The rice and beans were average and I would recommend bringing those to another level. The chips and salsa was great, it tasted fresh. Again, I would recommend this place in an instant.“
“First time trying Juan pollos chicken. It's really good. The chicken has a lot of flavor. Rice and beans are good. The potato salad was a little dry. They could add a little more mayo. Easy fix... The side salad with Italian dressing really good. No complaints. Good “
“At least once a week we eat HERE. I’m making my way thru the menu. The chili verde burrito is to die for. Excellent service, friendly, family owned. You can reserve tables, but not necessary. The Cadillac margaritas are deeelicious. Don’t miss this restaurant and put it on your ‘have to go here’ places to eat.... we’ve taken take out, but love eating there.Parking: It’s in the Walmart shopping area.Kid-friendliness: This is a family restaurant, have 5-6 TVs, two separate large rooms for eating. One, used for large parties, any size.... especially holidays...Wheelchair accessibility: Single level, table height.“
“Such an incredible atmosphere. It is a tradition we make sure to do ever trip to Palm Desert. It is great for large parties and kiddos. They have generous pours of Margaritas and you can’t go wrong with the Puerco or Suiza’s!Kid-friendliness: The patio is perfect as long as it’s not too windy. If windy pack jackets.“
“El Rodeo Cafe was great! The food?Delicious. My wife and kids loved it. I got into the al pastor burrito, and it hit the spot perfectly—cooked just right and the ideal size for lunch. Plus, those chips with not one, not two, but three kinds of salsa! The service was top-notch. They got our food fast. And parking was great. Literally parked right out front, no fuss at all.Seriously, if you're on the hunt for some solid Mexican food, you've gotta swing by El Rodeo Cafe. Whether you live around the corner or you're just cruising through town, it's a must-visit.“
“One of the best restaurants I went to while in Cat City for Coachella. If you don't want to pay exorbitant amounts of money for sub bar food at the festival, go to this place for a pre game meal. Your tastebuds will thank you. I'm usually not a fan of hard shell tacos but their beef tacos had fall-off-the-bone meat, and crispy crunchy taco shells that I haven't had anywhere else. Their specials center around pupusas, but those tacos won over my palate. Ended up coming here twice because of the value and taste. The waitstaff is extremely nice and we left with some temporary tattoos from the quarter machines which apparently haven't been serviced in 2+ years. Got to relive a part of my childhood here. 5/5 highly recommend!“
“Always a delight, been going here for years, and the food is always delicious, authentic, and served hot and fairly quickly. They recently acquired the space next to them, so there's plenty of room now, and the remodeling is very modern looking - great job!“
“The food was DELICIOUS! Very affordable for a good serving . It was very fresh and the chicken was full of flavor the chimichangas were incredible. Our host was very sweet she wasn't overbearing and also checked on us as well :) the atmosphere was also fresh and friendly“
“We finally made it to this restaurant for dinner. We sat on the patio and watched a beautiful sunset as we dined. We found the menu had some great selections, but we stuck with some ala carte choices as a way to sample several items. The sopa with beef, the beef taco, and tostada were excellent. The enchiladas and tamale were just average, I'd say. The salsa and chips were a winner ( not too spicy with the salsa). Great pricing and service were additional reasons to come back for more.“
“Visiting Palm Springs and looking for some tasty tacos, this is the place. Had the fish tacos, which were packed with flavor and my wife is still raving about carne asada torta she had there. It's a bit small, seating area is very limiting, hence the 4/5 stars but the food makes up for it“
“Classic margaritas, periquitos, carne asada, Carnitas Michoacanas, verde sauce for chips. All top notch and not dried out. Best Mexican dinner ever. While others have fallen off post-Covid, this place continues as the best, service was great. Ambiance always nice.“
“Ok.... so we had such a great experience 2 weeks ago when we went for the first time that we bragged so much about it and decided to return last week with a friend. Well it was a completly different experience and it was so terrible that i said i would not return. I even gave them such a bad reviews because I was so angry. Anyways today my Husband talked me into going again because he said let's try it one more time. Give them a chance we might be surprised. When we walked in....I knew the young server from last week remembered us from last week and I told my Husband I know they saw the bad review I gave. I was uncomfortable but stayed. The young woman that came up and asked if we wanted something to drink she was very nice. We Hadn't seen her the last 2 visits. But it turned out that she's one of the managers. Her name was Yvette. I think the server from last week didn't want to help us but I can't say that I blamed her. When She brought our coffee and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered and my Husband mentioned we had a bad experience last week but we would like to try the fruit plate again. She told us right away that she had seen the review and so did the owner and she knew it was us from the server telling her it was. She apologized right away about what happened to us and explained the young server we had last week was new and that they appreciated our real input because it helps the restaurant learn. She said the owner even had a meeting about things to improve on. She Thanked us for giving them another try. She continued to be our server. Everything was awesome. She talked to us off and on a few times and even though it was awkward.... it was really nice. When she gave us our check.... she tried to comp the ticket which was nice. We said it was unessasary. She still gave us a few bucks off anyways which was nice. I attached a picture of the wonderful fruit plate too. Anyways....I guess the moral here is.... sometimes a bad review helps like in this case. But sometimes.... including myself.... we sould maybe stop think that maybe everyone has a bad day and sometimes it's better to remember that. Thanks Guys for a great visit this time!“
“I placed a phone order a few days ago & the hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first time trying them & I was very please with how helpful the hostess was. The food was good and it was done in a timely manner. Once I went to pick up the order, the hostess (who took my order) was very welcoming. I didn't catch her name but she had blue hair.“
“My husband and I love the food here. I haven't tried very many things on the menu, but the things I have tried I have enjoyed. I'm kinda stuck on the one thing. I get the chicken Tortilla soup pretty much everytime. I make some rice and add it. It makes for a hearty meal. Plus I add a little sour cream. All together it is super yummy. My husband will try different things sometimes. He has also enjoyed everything he has tried. We usually get it as take out and the order is right almost everytime. I kinda don't like eating out or take out as much as I use to because I feel like most places cannot get the order right lately and the way cost have gone up I get really annoyed paying so much for something I don't really enjoy. That is another thing about Tortillas I love, they won't break your wallet. I definitely recommend.“
“Went had a burrito twice. The first time i had an el pastor burrito, and it was alright felt like the meat needed a little more seasonings, went there another time and had a carne asada burrito and that time it was bomb it 10 out of 1 Everything else looks good there because everytime i go there it always has a steady flow of customers.“
“Hell. Yes. Was visiting from LA and got to craving a burrito and tacos. Had a good feeling about this spot when I came across it on Yelp. It did not disappoint. Little window in a Mexican mini market. Got an asada burrito, shrimp tacos, a birra quesadilla, with a jamaica drink. Incredible. Not a sit down place by any means, the kind of place you get for takeout. But delicious with a friendly staff. Highly recommend.“
“We came here for a quick dinner after an 8 hour flight from New York. We were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and we definitely found probably the best place in Palm Springs. This is not a fancy place, just a weird combination between deli/liquor store with a very clean Mexican Kitchen in the corner. The staff was friendly and everything was new and clean. Birria tacos was my favorite. Amazing Quality/price. Thank you, 100% will come back“
“First time in the desert my wife and I were sitting at an in n out and spoke to a local Mexican family . I asked where he would go and eat to sample food like his grandmother would make . ( of course he said no where ) but this place has really good food .the salsa was delicious. Dishes tried stuffed peppers with shrimp very flavorful.I had beef fajitas and my spouse had a mango and seafood chevchie .Both were great but the fajitas were a tad salty but great taste .My friends had an enchiladas .Beware the portions are huge so it would be easy to split the dishes .Margaritas were great. Michaladas great .“
