“We had friends coming to visit from Arizona and wanted to take them somewhere special for dinner. We heard about the newly reopened Paseo in Mill Valley and decided to try it. We were welcomed by the friendly manager Kevin as we entered. After giving us a tour we were seated in the main dining room by a cozy fireplace. We ordered cocktails along with a charcuterie board and roasted Brussels sprouts. At the recommendation of our knowledgeable waiter Will, my sister and I ordered the beet salad. One of our guests had the Market Green Salad and another raved about her Potato Leek Soup. Wanting to try different entrees we ordered California Halibut, Braised Osso Busco, Mary's Chicken Breast, Rib Eye Steak, and Roasted Duck Breast with orange glaze. The taste and presentation exceeded our expectations. As we were enjoying coffee along with Chocolate Indulgence, a (layered torte) and a Peanut Crunch Bar, Chef Branden approached our table to see how we enjoyed our meal. We all told him how much we enjoyed the food, his beautiful presentation, and the smiling staff. We had a great five star experience and will definitely be back!“

“Amazing food, one of the breakfast in the town! We tried avocado toast with salmon and breakfast croissant, and everything is so delicious.

One note about the place: we prefer to sit outside because the exhaust hood inside doesn't work well and afterwards our clothes smell like food. It would be great if this could be improved in the establishment.“

“Staff is great and welcoming; atmosphere is wonderful and casual, lighting gives great vibes; we sat out back in a super cute patio. Food was delicious, and we got several appetizers and bottles of wine. This was just a happy hour catch up with friends and not a main meal. For the apps that required small slices of bread to eat with, they purposely give you less than you need tho I'm unsure if we had to pay for the extra order of bread. I like that when you're ready to leave, you don't wait for the check but head to the cashier inside and pay there. Overall a pleasant experience on the pricey side, not that we were trying to conserve costs.“

“Super cute wine bar just across the street from Cafe Zoetrope. We were there for a calligraphy class but my daughter was feeling ill so we sat outside for a bit. The sommelier was kind and empathetic; he offered us waters and was talking to her to make her feel less embarrassed. While we were waiting, he even helped a lady park her car. So while we didn't have wine or food, the service is top notch and we'll go back!“

“My go-to wine bar with a full menu that’s diverse, delicious (Mediterranean and so fresh), and very fairly priced. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about all the wines they offer. In particular, Tim, the head sommelier is a pleasure to talk to and has taught me so much about wine over my many visits. It’s rare to find spots like this where the service, food, and drinks are all aligned in value and quality. One of my staple recommendations to anyone visiting SF (try the filet kabobs and grilled halloumi!)“

It was a culinary journey rooted in love for fresh foods and a passion for food that tastes good. “We hosted our wedding reception here and it was amazing! The willow trees and venue are beautiful, and it's a fun spot to host an event! Our guests had the best time, and the staff and owners were so kind and accommodating. “This is for the tasting room AND the Advent calendar from 2023.Tasting room - the woman who runs it is very experienced and we enjoyed chatting with her as she explained a variety of wines to us. There were some really delicious ones we had. One thing I found totally obnoxious and unhelpful were the descriptions of the wine. No joke - these were some descriptions. I was cringing so hard reading them.“Like a pair of silky red pajamas”“Like going on a 2nd date”They are trying too hard here to seem cool and it was embarrassing how useless the descriptions were. We are paying for wine, please describe it. This is not a creative writing class. Thank goodness the lady who ran the tasting room was there to give us further explanation about the actual flavor, aromatics or profile we should expect when tasting. She agreed the written descriptions were not as helpful as they could be but it was not her decision. We seriously would not have tried any of the wines just based on those descriptions. I had to knock off one star because of this.Advent calendar - was skeptical based on some shipping issues I read from the previous year. I got mine on time and the variety was good! I would say I really enjoyed about 70% and the 30% were interesting/good, not my favorite but cool to try. I would do it again next year.“

Wine selection is extensive and so pleased to see wines sourced from México.
Food was quick to arrive, our table ordered chips and salsa (salsas very good), fresh made guacamole, empanadas, sopes, queso fundido, mole and churros with coconut ice cream.
Favorite dishes were the sopes and mole dish.
Least favorite dish was the churros and ice cream. The churros had a type of filling and were more on the crunch side and the coconut ice cream texture could have been smoother. I would have preferred vanilla ice cream paired with the churros but coconut was the closest flavor to vanilla they offered
Would recommend to a friend and would like to go back to try more dishes.“

“We noticed this wine bar in our way to Hayes St, seeing all the packed restaurants (with lines) we turned back around and decided to see what was on offer and Ebb & Flow. What a lovely, friendly wine bar. We ordered wines based on their staff picks (great option), a cheese board, salami, and tuna. The atmosphere was perfect, I’d recommend it for a date or a pre theatre drink and light food. If we’re back in SF again we would definitely return.“

Fine wine list with many affordable offerings. We had a bottle of Arnie's and it was just right. The service is very attentive from the reception to the goodby.“

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.“

Wandered in and was immediately geared warmly by Nestor (the whole team exude warm hospitality) who was able to accommodate us without reservations. The space is cozy and the counter seating allowed is to get to know our host a bit better with introductions. Highly recommended the Tavern pizza and add the Phoebe of the hunger pangs are mighty. Two pizzas were more than enough for two with plenty forbtake away enjoyment.“

“We had a lovely trip to Tiburon and started at this wine bar. We both ordered champagne flights, but my only complaint was that the flight didn’t clearly indicate one of the servings would be Cremant. As a restaurant owner who works with plant-based wines, I’m familiar with Cremant—it doesn’t agree with me and always makes me sick. When the host began serving it, I immediately declined and asked for a substitution. She kindly gave me a double pour of the rosé instead, and we both agreed the second brut was our favorite.

The staff were friendly, the vibes were chill, but the space itself is small and felt a bit cold. One host gave us great recommendations for nearby spots, and another pointed us to the best fries in town—Sam’s definitely delivers on that!

Overall, I’d come back here for a glass of wine, especially for a cozy date night.“
