“Really clean, cute space. Staff is amazing. Hard to find a true local and well run place to eat. Prices are fine, clearly not cheap but the food and experience reflects it. Food was amazing. Literally best quiche I’ve ever had. It was perfect and plenty. Will be back with a date. Perfect spot for this. Lively, interesting but not loud and obnoxious.“

“Amazing wine bar—we stumbled upon it absolutely randomly and just loved the atmosphere at first glance. We tried 4 different wines, and all of them were excellent. The crab cakes and focaccia were good too. I highly recommend this place for its nice and quiet atmosphere and good wine choices.“

“We came here for happy hour on a Monday evening and we were one of the only customers in a nearly empty restaurant, so service was pretty efficient. We almost had the entire staff catering exclusively to us. I'd say the restaurant kind of feels like a cross between a bistro bar and a 50s restaurant with dim lighting. Once we took a look at the menu, of course we had to get a wine flight.
Between 2 of the $13 wine flights, we ordered a Melon de Bourgogne, Merlot, Gamay, and then we were recommended a Rose Grenache, and an an orange wine, which was interesting.
$ 7 Chicken Liver Mousse:
okay! It was topped with chives, served with cornichons.
$10 Jamon Serrano Croquetas:
good! definitely fresh, because it came piping hot. I had to cut it in half and let it steam for a few minutes.
$19 Octopus Carpaccio - pickled capers and pickled peppers, pomegranate:
great! very tangy taste, get it if you like sour flavors
$29 Duck Leg Confit - Grimaud farm duck leg with gratin dauphinois, salad, duck jus:
excellent! crispy skin on duck leg with green salad and radishes helped lighten it up.
When we got our bill, it came tucked inside of a French paperback, which I thought was a cute touch. We got full from happy hour, though two items were not from the happy hour menu. I give Amelie a 9.2/10“

“The owner was so sweet and helpful during my experience here. I had questions and she was very willing to answer and steer me towards things I was looking for. Also, had a lil snack of nuts and I can't remember what they were but they were delish. I would definitely go back.“

“A nice wine bar with good easy-drinking wines and friendly staff.
We came in just in time for Wednesday’s trivia night, which made for a fun friendly atmosphere!
We had the empanada ($8) which was ok. Overall nice pre-dinner place!“

“The cauliflower hoagie is an amazing vegan option! Just let the server know you want it vegan and they can also remove the honey. It was absolutely delicious and very filling! The salad and squash dish also pictured are gluten free but not vegan and were also outstanding! Service was great! Waster was so attentive and helpful in working with dietary restrictions and made excellent wine recommendations. Great vibe overall inside as well - will be back!“

“Hidden gem of Sausalito! It’s a small scale restaurant where the chef if cooking in front of you simply amazing Michelin-3-star-level food. Don’t come here just for caviar that you can simply buy at a store. Come for the chef’s amazing cooking!“

“Super cute wine bar just across the street from Cafe Zoetrope. We were there for a calligraphy class but my daughter was feeling ill so we sat outside for a bit. The sommelier was kind and empathetic; he offered us waters and was talking to her to make her feel less embarrassed. While we were waiting, he even helped a lady park her car. So while we didn't have wine or food, the service is top notch and we'll go back!“

“Hôtel Biron feels like a hidden pocket of the city where the night slows down and the world softens a bit. The dim light, the brick, the curated art on the walls—it all hits with this warm, lived-in charm that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.
The owner Ron and bartenders are the heartbeat here. Warm, real, and genuinely happy to guide you through the wine list like old friends. No ego, no performance—just people who love what they do and make you feel taken care of.
The wine selection is thoughtful and full of surprises, the kind that makes you pause for a second because it’s that good.
It’s a cozy, art-soaked refuge in the middle of SF. Can’t recommend it enough.“

“This little bar is such a hidden gem! The owner personally curates her own wines, and you can really taste the passion and knowledge in every glass. The wine membership is also incredible—thoughtfully selected bottles that make it feel like a mini wine journey each month. The cheese plate is absolutely divine. The selection is beautifully presented (just look at those delicate cheese shavings!) and perfectly paired with crispy crackers and a rich fruit chutney. Every bite is a mix of texture and flavor that balances wonderfully with the wines. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed evening, whether you’re here for a casual drink or celebrating something special. Between the amazing service, the curated wines, and the mouthwatering cheese, this is easily one of the best local spots around. Highly recommend!“

“A Cozy Haven with Live Jazz
Vics Winehouse is a true gem—warm, inviting, and effortlessly charming. The selection of wines is fantastic, the music is the best in the city. The owner is incredibly friendly and she sings too! She put her heart and soul into this amazing place, always making us feels like home. We’ve always been treated with respect and kindness.
We go there not only for drinks and conversations, but also to enjoy real Jazz music ( so hard to find in the city these days) As live jazz melodies fill the air, the cozy atmosphere becomes even more magical. What I really love about Vics Winehouse is that it never disappoints. You get exactly what you would expect, every time. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed evening with friends, your significant other, or if you come alone, you can make new friends.“

“Yeah this place rocks. Would totally 100% come back here. Bartender was incredible totally has a cool SF classic north beach bar vibe. Lots of room for everyone and a spectacular outside seating to just have a beer and watch the world go by. Come here for a wholesome local experience or for a fun dive bar vibe.
Had the ham sandwhich holy crap. For a dive bar it was kinda perfect. Bread that was toasted perfectly with a delicious jam. Come here.“

“The food is always delicious, and the waitstaff is friendly. There is a nice eclectric crowd. The owners are impressive -- a family owned business (something that is disappearing in San Francisco). I love this place and am so happy to have them in my neighborhood.“

“Sorella is one of our favorite restaurants in SF. We're moving out in March, so we had to come back to it one last time, and, as with all the other times we have been there, it did not disappoint. 5 star service 5 star food and drinks 5 star setting What more could you ask? Shoutout to Jocyln for bringing us an extra treat at the end of the night and for being a great waitress. :) Timo“

“Internos isn’t just a bar—it’s a place that feels like home. It’s where friends gather, where familiar faces always seem to circle back, and where the atmosphere is as warm as it is welcoming. The heart of it all is Tony. He’s one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, and his genuine warmth makes every visit special. Honestly, I’d come back just to chat with him, but the drinks alone would keep me returning too. The beer list is excellent—great options on tap plus a thoughtful selection of cans—and the wines cover the full spectrum, so there’s something for everyone. It’s our favorite spot, hands down.“

“No air-conditioning, so we went outside after we ordered and sat on the sidewalk with car exhaust and motorcycles roaring by. They have a good selection of tasty wines and the charcuterie platter presented well with a nice selection of meats and cheeses. Our first server didn't know anything about wine and confessed to only drinking reds so she brought over a second person who knew more.“

“Loved the vibe here, the place was buzzing with people, and the atmosphere was lively but still comfortable. Outdoor seating is a huge plus if the weather’s on your side.
We ordered the chicken skewers, which came with warm bread and a flavorful sauce that paired beautifully with a glass of wine. Everything was tasty, well-balanced, and perfect for a casual evening.
Definitely a spot I’d come back to for good food, great drinks, and a fun atmosphere.“
“$10 cover on weekends (11pm). Packed beyond belief. Is it fun? Yeah, great music too. It gets hot in there (11pm). Tons of late college / post grads hanging out around here. SO SO SO many cigarettes, didn't know that was the new thing. Performative males exist here. Vibes immaculate (11pm).
Oh, the line around the corner is kinda insane (11pm). Bathroom line about 20-30 mins for 2 bathrooms. Not ideal, but like, you go to simply be there and exist.“

“Cantina Los Mayas was really good. The waiters and chef were genuinely kind, friendly, and welcoming, and the overall vibe made the experience even better. Portions are big and the prices are very budget-friendly, so it felt like great value.
We started with the ceviche—it was spicy, but super balanced with a fresh pineapple-lime flavor that made it bright and refreshing. We also ordered the queso fundido, and it was a highlight: a creamy, milky blend of cheeses with chorizo, and I loved the little candle underneath that kept it warm the whole time.
For my main dish, I got the mariscos served in a pineapple. It hit that perfect sweet-and-spicy combo, and the two roasted shrimp were honestly so delicious. I just wish it came with a few more shrimp, but overall the rest of the seafood was filling and satisfying.
The only thing I was expecting a bit more from was the salsas—I hoped for stronger flavor and more heat. That said, they were still good.
Also, the location is great and easy to find, and parking nearby was pretty easy, which made the whole night even smoother.“

“The restaurant was very loud, and it was very difficult to hear our server, not to mention each other.! The food was excellent - we shared several vegetarian dishes that we enjoyed, however, the one non vegetarian dish we had (the octopus) was pungent and tough. Unfortunately, our server didn't check back with us to ensure we were satisfied with our selections. Even so, our experience was overall good, but with more attentive service, it could have been great.“

“My significant other and I were travelling down Hyde St on the cable car and passed this wine bar. As wine lovers, we knew we had to go back! What a treat! There is a great selection of delicious dry European wines. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting. “We heard so much about this place, we came over from San Francisco specifically to try it out! What a perfect spot to have a taste of some amazing wines and an array of incredible cheeses and crackers. You walk inside and it’s a little shop with a bar counter on the right. You order what you like and sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view!! I am so looking forward to coming back on my next visit. Make it a point to stop in, you won’t be disappointed!!“
