“Chocobean is my favorite way to start the day! The coffee is always fantastic — the toasted almond is my go-to. On a hot day, their iced coffee hits the spot, and the iced tea is just as refreshing. The staff is always so kind and welcoming. We’re lucky to have such a great spot in the neighborhood!“

“I’m surprised nobody talks about the quality of the coffee here. Of course the atmosphere feels like home and a place you can just exist at for a few hours, of course the location is great, of course the staff is friendly. That’s obvious, but the coffee is top tier. Way better than it has a right to be considering how damned honey it is. And they don’t even brag about it. Here they are this perfect little coffee shop quietly serving the best iced Spanish latte in Orange County and I’ve tried them all.

Unfortunately they’re slightly out of my way and I work nights so I don’t get them often and I don’t have a picture, but this is the coffee I tell stories about, the coffee that I literally write home about, the coffee that I dream of when I choke down another bitter espresso from Starbucks or another sugary barely coffee from Dutch.

“I visited Diotoma on a Friday around 11:30 AM. The parking lot is quite small so I had to circle for parking and there was a line. However, don't let that deter you from coming. There were so many delicious looking pastries, cookies, and cakes (I also saw some people had sandwiches). I had to wait about 20 min to order pastries and another 10 min or so for a coffee drink. So the entire visit took about 30 min. We got the pain cookie (pain suisse filled with brown butter butterscotch cookie dough), Korean salt bread, and mixed berry custard tart. The mixed berry custard tart is make with the same croissant dough so it's crispy and flakey, but it softens quickly due to the custard filling. However, the custard filling is generous and very silky. The Korean salt bread was a simple savory loaf. For me, the star was the pain cookie. The cookie dough was appropriately soft and chocolatey and the pastry was really flakey and crispy. I would go back just for the pain cookie but there was so many other interesting looking pastries. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you like pastries. I will definitely be swinging by here again the next time I'm in the area.“

“I love the Savour Pastry shop under the new ownership. I love the quality and taste of their products tremendously. My favorite items on the menu are Almond Croissant, Cream Broiler and Almond Cake plus all the rest of the pastry they make. I take their pastry to all my friends and to every gathering that I am invited to. I am so glad to support a local business, which is providing quality food and excellent services.“

I went on December 31, 2023 at 10 AM, and the wonderful woman with the blonde hair was the absolute sweetest and most kindest person I have ever met in customer service, and she deserves a raise. I was in such a rush that I didn’t get her name. That’s why I included the date and the time because she was absolutely wonderful and I was very satisfied when I left.“

“Great coffee nice folks at the counter but limited regular brew options. Coffee price is surprisingly a dollar more than at SB's. on regular drinks and presumably specialty orders. So perhaps they are paying their baristas more than the otherainline coffee houses which begs the question of tipping necessity or the amount thereof.“

“You've no idea how much I appreciate this place not going out of business and surviving for this long. I was super excited about finally having a boba place nearby and I was worried that they might go out of business because boba might not be so popular with the kind of folks that live around here. Well this place is thriving! I am delighted to see how many people with their little ones (and seemingly the entire family) drop by to order sweet drinks for the entire fam on a hot summer's day. I do have to warn that if you are used to the kind of subtle sweet flavors of regular boba you're not gonna find them here because even when you get 50% sugar it feels like you're getting the full 100%. But maybe they switched their sugar level logic to fit the needs of the locals here who are used to drinking suuuuuper sugary drinks. I'm not sure if they remake upon request but I'm too scared to ask. I just asked them to dump out half of my drink and fill it with water so I can at least drink the thing lol but I think they would oblige if I wasn't so scared of bothering the workers.“
