“We have been going to Boba Box since it was still doing the soft opening. We drive about 15-20 mins just to come here. My family found a new boba place that actually accommodate everybody drinking favorite. I don’t have to drive to Rowland Heights for Half And Half then go to West Covina for BYOB and OneZo. Then go to Dunkin Donuts for Matcha latte. Boba Box is amazing and drinks always comes out the same taste every time. Just the right coldness and amount of toppings. Keep it up the good work.“

“We stopped by Hai Cha for boba tea after visiting the museum. The owner greeted us right away as we walked through the door. He's super friendly and he was very welcoming. We got Hai Cha special milk tea with boba. Waffle was boba. Yogurt smoothie and mango smoothie. The size of the smoothies were huge. We enjoyed our food.“

“Came here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. And ordering was very easy since you do it through a QR code but you can also ask for a menu and order that way as well. Food came within 10 to 15 minutes and everything was very hot and fresh. The meat pies were really hot and filled with yummy juices. The scallion pancakes were very very yummy. I highly recommend getting the cucumbers. Service was decent but don't be expecting conversations from these ladies. They bring you your food and that's about it. I can't wait to come back and the prices are so worth it.“

My faves are the orange milky way, sweet pink, and strawberry mochi. The Alaska sunset, honey lemon mint tea, and fruit tea are also very good. The service has always been great. I only wish they were open later. Sometimes my boba craving hits at 830pm and it's too late 😭“

The brown sugar boba milk tea is rich in tea flavor with just the right amount of sweetness, and the boba is perfectly chewy and soft — absolutely delicious. “Pretty good experience at this Tea Shop compared to other location I went to in Rowland. They have two order yourself stations and I was able to take a look more closely this time at their selection. This is located at the front, and although there isn’t any seating, besides a bench, you could take your drink and walk inside towards the food court.

I tried and enjoyed the Sunlight Fruit Tea. Got it with less sugar and less ice.

“New Boba spot and I love it. Their prices are very reasonable and I love that their boba is always fresh and soft. I always order off the swirl menu. Add creme brulee to your drink. They also have fries, onion rings, and cheese sticks. Love the plain cheese sticks, only thing missing is the marinara sauce. They give ranch but I don't like their ranch. It tastes weird. I tried the plain onion rings extra crispy. They are ok but leave a grainy after taste. I'll stick to the cheese sticks. But I love their boba. I go almost every day“

The tea itself is just okay — not super strong — and the drinks can lean on the sweeter side. I usually order mine with 1/4 sugar since I don’t like them too sweet.

Overall, it’s not a spot I’d go out of my way for, but if you’re in El Monte and really craving boba, it does the job.“

South El Monte is also home to a lot of Taiwanese boba supplies companies and import so that makes people who start boba shop businesses in the South El Monte an easy access to the materials and that makes it all thrive. When I am not getting the 7Leaves down the street in South El Monte, I would come here to study Mandarin or work on software engineering projects remotely. I think South El Monte has a thriving community of Asian and boba drink lovers. Hello Boba adds another great addition to that one. Another great option is Boba Time which is also right down the same street. I love to get boba and then head to the King Taco place and drink boba with my taco.“

The boba tea was absolutely amazing. I got the strawberry milk boba tea, and I loved it. It was so cheap too, especially with the toppings I added. I got it with coffee jelly, boba, pudding, and it tasted so good. It also tasted like there was actual strawberry in there and not just strawberry flavoring. Had some strawberry bits in it too. I can’t believe how cheap it was, ($6.50) for a large boba with three toppings. Was also pretty fast too.“

“A bit different from your traditional Boba tea shop. But I do highly recommend it to try this place if you do like something new to try. Their cheesy fruit smoothie is one of the greatest drink I ever had. Perfect sweetness, ice cold and somehow it just feels like burst of freshness and flavors melting in your mouth. One of the negative though is the long wait time, there wasn’t much people ahead of me, but I had to wait about 20-30 minutes before I could get my order.“

“I needed some afternoon boba, so I stopped by this Sunright location. This store is located in a plaza with other businesses and it was busy during the time. However, I was able to find ground level parking. Inside the store wasn’t busy though, since I was able to order at the self kiosk right away. The kiosk had an images, so it easy to reference what to get. It was ready within two minutes. I got the Oreo Brulee boba milk tea (regular ice, fresh milk, 50% sweetness, with agar boba). It was a good drink option, especially if you are craving something sweet. This store does have a reward system if you put your phone number, so take advantage of that! American Express is accepted.“

“Neighbors Tea House offers the most exception beverages and sweet treats, like their Smashed Avocado and Durian and soy pudding. I’m still making my way through their menu but there hasn’t been anything I’ve ordered that I didn’t wish I ordered a large of. Their team is exceptional, especially during COVID. “Boba options are plentiful and there are several food options as well. I live their tomato and pesto sandwich, but you'll have to be aware that it takes time for the food to be made. Every time I order food, it takes about 20 minutes to almost an hour sometimes to get the food.
If you're able to call in advance for pickup, I'm not sure if it will be any faster. I typically order the teas without boba since it's already quite sweet (and delicious). Would recommend if you want to study or do your work here. It's a lot quieter than Starbucks, unless people are talking.“
