“We had an early family dinner tonight at Shinano. Combination dinner set w/ 2 items (chicken and tempura) a Salmon Lava Roll, Salmon Lemon roll and Miso Eggplant. Everything was good. Food tasted great. Service was quick and the server checked on us multiple times.

“Went here after a Dodgers game and it is such a cool bar. Security were friendly, the bartender Julian was great to talk too, and of course the cocktails were fantastic! I couldn’t believe they had a “Vesper”, as a massive Bond fan I had to have it and it was amazing. Followed with the old faithful Espresso Martini which was great too. Drinks are reasonably priced. Can’t wait to come back here the next time I’m in LA!“

The place was a little tricky to find; there were no signs, and it was in the basement of a very unexpected building. You can also only get down there through the middle elevator! I actually thought this place was a liquor store in passing. Sally is a great bartender. Very personable and a joy to converse with. There's 3 pool tables and ample room for a crowd.“

For food, highly rec the mentaiko spaghetti, fries with yuzu aoili, chicken wings, and citrus salad! Dessert is a must - loveee the hojicha tres leches and black sesame rice krispy.

“I was a doorman to one of the Main Street bars, and customers would always tell me to go checkout Jay Dee's. So I finally did after 2 years. It's a cool place to hang out and have a drink. Drinks are reasonable, and it's a cash only bar. Customers are friendly too, & no haters. Has pool tables and darts. No, dj, but they have a jukebox playing cool music. Ever since Ember’s Lounge closed down, this has been my spot. It’s cash only, but there’s a ATM machine there. I love the digital jukebox that allows you to play all kinds of music. “The bar is absolutely amazing. The bartenders know how to delicious drinks. When I walked in, I went straight to the bar to order my drink. The bartender quickly came to me to take my drink order. I asked for an Old Fashion and the bartender jumped right to it. The inside has a very cool vibe. There is a pool table and also a stage. The bar also has a Jukebox that plays awesome music. I didn't see that option there yet so I contacted them. I received a very fast response and I was able to order very quickly! I think we had to wait 3 weeks and then it was already there. super fast service! I ordered some with a friend and we are both really happy with the product. it is super comfortable and of really nice quality! so Thankyou to let's go disco! we feel great in the clothes!“

“I’ve never had a bad time here. Even though it’s a place that’s mostly people going with friends, I’ve never felt unwelcome going by myself. The workers are nice and the drinks are made strong and cold the way they should be. It’s a chill vibe. They don’t do stuff like karaoke, so if you want a party kinda place this wouldn’t be ideal, but if you enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere, then it’s perfect.“

Service was noticeably slow, ceviche arrived without chips (the kitchen noticed and brought them out though) and there was almost a 30 minute wait between the ceviche and the rest of the meal. The hangar steak, persimmon salad, and the ceviche were the standouts. Also the seasonal drink, it was delicious! I regretted ordering their sangria and the patatas bravas, very underwhelming. Ambiance is really warm and nice, but the bathrooms are all the way upstairs which is kind of a pain. I wonder if they are short staffed, either way, a lot of potential here.“

“The lounge is conveniently located within Hilton San Gabriel. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff were inviting, friendly and extremely efficient. They took wonderful care of us. For lunch we ordered: clam chowder, Caesar salad, beef taquitos with guacamole dip and Parma ham and mozzarella flat bread. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My only two suggestions would be to serve crackers with the soup and maybe change the flatbread sauce to a marinara. I had an old fashioned with my meal which I really enjoyed. The drink was well balanced.The lounge is a non tipping restaurant. It’s odd I know, at least for me it is. The tip was already added to the final bill and we paid approximately 65+“

“What a GREAT dinner! Met friends here on a late Friday night and they fit us in. The sushi was fresh and so tasty, definitely the best I’ve had in a LONG time. The drinks were amazing, try a version of their old fashioned but so many different drinks to choose from. Our server Christine was so attentive & sweet. We felt the service was 10/10! I recommend the wagyu dumplings and Geisha roll!“
