I just wish the servers had a little more help with some more employees because this place can get a little slow because of the server to table ratio. “This is a cocktail bar but don't be fooled. My favorite drink is the duck fat hibiki, it's absolutely amazing. It blew every other cocktail out of the water. It might cost more and it might not look the prettiest but trust me it is delicious. They are going to discontinue it due to lack of people ordering but don't just go for the trendy or Instagram worthy drinks, it might just be a regular looking old fashion but it might just be the best old fashion I've ever had.“

Tiki/nautical theme with pool tables and open lounge space. Fast bar service and solid pours from both the main and stage bars. Have to try their cocktails next time.

If you're there for a show, the space and sound is at that awesome IYKYK type of level.

“From the outside, The Airliner looks like a dive bar serving standard dive bar fare. But make no mistake, Chef Vinh Nguyen has created a stunning menu of excellent, creative, and absolutely delicious food!

We had a tasting for my daughter's wedding, and we were served such terrific items as Green Chop Salad (spicy thair dressing), Hunan BBQ pork ribs, Green Curry Crispy Rice, onion noodles, and tater tots with Gochujang glaze.

I forgot to take pictures, but everything looked as great as it tasted.

The next time we are in LA, we look forward to going there for dinner, and we couldn't be happier that Chef Nguyen will be catering our daughter's wedding!“

“My friend and I had an exquisite dining experience at Bar Sawa. Each course was prepared and presented to perfection. The place was a little tricky to find; there were no signs, and it was in the basement of a very unexpected building. You can also only get down there through the middle elevator! The instructions to get to the restaurant were emailed, but I didn't get to read it in time, so it was my fault. ? We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, ambiance and the entire experience. I actually thought this place was a liquor store in passing. Sally is a great bartender. Very personable and a joy to converse with. There's 3 pool tables and ample room for a crowd.“

“I was a doorman to one of the Main Street bars, and customers would always tell me to go checkout Jay Dee's. So I finally did after 2 years. It's a cool place to hang out and have a drink. Drinks are reasonable, and it's a cash only bar. Customers are friendly too, & no haters. Has pool tables and darts. No, dj, but they have a jukebox playing cool music. Bartenders are friendly and treat everyone like family. I would go back 😊👍🍻🥂“

Ever since Ember’s Lounge closed down, this has been my spot. It’s cash only, but there’s a ATM machine there. I love the digital jukebox that allows you to play all kinds of music. For lunch we ordered: clam chowder, Caesar salad, beef taquitos with guacamole dip and Parma ham and mozzarella flat bread. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My only two suggestions would be to serve crackers with the soup and maybe change the flatbread sauce to a marinara. I had an old fashioned with my meal which I really enjoyed. The drink was well balanced.The lounge is a non tipping restaurant. It’s odd I know, at least for me it is. The tip was already added to the final bill and we paid approximately 65+“
