“An organization I’m a part of was looking for a place to gather afterwards. I reached out to multiple locations, Ian was the most responsive and excited to host us. He was accommodating to our group of ~30 people. He and the staff were so friendly and took care of orders quickly. Will definitely be back for dinner and drinks!“

“I never know this place was beautiful and elegant bar. This place is gorgeous especially the open windows view of the hills leading towards gorgeous home. The atmosphere is old fashioned but very well designed. The people were nice and so friendly. Now the music isn't for me. Maybe because l didn't stay passing 1030pm but the drinks were top tier. I tried several drinks and they were exquisite. This place is open everyday with never charge. Must come and visit especially this time of the month OCT. Definitely will come again.“

My only quip about this venue that whoever worked the door to the music venue the night of 11/21 treated me like I was dumb for asking about the wristband. Even asked some questions like “are u ok?” Sarcastically. I didn’t appreciate that kind of ruined my mood a bit.“

“We spent a few hours here on New Year's Eve. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The owner greeted us and offered us snacks.
They have a live DJ spinning turntables, bumping music from the past to present. There's an outdoor patio in the back.

“We recently hosted our first cocktail party in LA, and Dave from Prank was an absolute angel! He supported us from start to finish, offering thoughtful suggestions on how to make the event even more unique and special. I had SO many questions, and both he and his team addressed every single one with patience, care, and attention to detail.
It’s clear that Dave was born to host events. That level of guidance makes all the difference when you’re navigating nerves and logistics: It’s exactly what you want in a venue partner.
Prank was an excellent choice for our event. The location is fantastic, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the drinks and food were outstanding. The space worked perfectly for hosting, it always felt lively and full, and the team made the experience seamless.

“This is a cocktail bar but don't be fooled. My favorite drink is the duck fat hibiki, it's absolutely amazing. It blew every other cocktail out of the water. It might cost more and it might not look the prettiest but trust me it is delicious. They are going to discontinue it due to lack of people ordering but don't just go for the trendy or Instagram worthy drinks, it might just be a regular looking old fashion but it might just be the best old fashion I've ever had.“

“We had a great experience at this bar! Even though we arrived late, Dustin, was incredibly warm and welcoming, which immediately set the tone for the night. Our servers, Juan and Robert, were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The service never felt rushed, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. You can really tell they care about their guests. We’ll definitely be back!“

“This is the spot if you need a good, cold drink & a chill, old school vibe. I don’t like bars that have windows & Poor Denny’s is old school in that regard. Ever since Ember’s Lounge closed down, this has been my spot. It’s cash only, but there’s a ATM machine there. I love the digital jukebox that allows you to play all kinds of music. The bartenders are always nice & they have wonderful hands on the pours. ? Good vibes & mellow times here.“

“Loved the ambient feeling of this place. Hung out at the bar with a friend. Still had a nice semi-secluded seat with an alright view. Had a "Beez Neez" which was a nice strong and fancy gin and juice. Had the truffle fries with it because the one drink was kicking in so I had to balance it. Will definitely be back again.“

“The lounge is conveniently located within Hilton San Gabriel. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff were inviting, friendly and extremely efficient. They took wonderful care of us. For lunch we ordered: clam chowder, Caesar salad, beef taquitos with guacamole dip and Parma ham and mozzarella flat bread. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My only two suggestions would be to serve crackers with the soup and maybe change the flatbread sauce to a marinara. I had an old fashioned with my meal which I really enjoyed. The drink was well balanced.The lounge is a non tipping restaurant. It’s odd I know, at least for me it is. The tip was already added to the final bill and we paid approximately 65+“

“Sawa is easily a top-10 restaurant in my opinion. The chef deserves a star. The entire experience went beyond my expectations, truly outstanding. I had so much fun dining there; the environment is friendly, and every bite was delicious. The host was spectacular, especially for suggesting we split the sake pairing, for someone who doesn’t drink much, it was more than enough. I’m already looking forward to coming back.“

“Honestly can’t say good enough things about this bar. I used to live a few blocks away and have tried almost every cocktail on the menu and each one has been elegant, unique and beautifully balanced. I love it because you can tuck yourself away in one of the lounge areas with a book if you want, or if you feel like being social, you can sit at the bar and do that as well. The bartenders know their stuff and are very easy to talk to. No two conversations I’ve had there have ever been the same, since the customers are usually guests staying at the hotel from all over the world. You won’t regret popping into this hidden gem. Truly a breath of fresh air from the busy streets of DTLA.“

“Cabrillo at the LA Proper Hotel makes a strong first impression with its inviting breakfast ambiance and upbeat café music. During my visit, I tried the PROPER BREAKFAST from their menu, which offered a satisfying start to the day. The spot also has a tasty selection of pastries, fresh smoothies, and coffee beverages—all ideal for a leisurely morning meal.
However, the service was a disappointment. Despite only a handful of guests at that early hour, the server was inattentive and didn’t once check on my table or offer to refill coffee or water, which took away from the overall experience. If great service is a priority, you may be let down here, but if you value good breakfast in a stylish setting and have time and budget to spare, Cabrillo can still be worth a try for the food and vibe alone..“
