“The best Burmese cuisine I have tried in the US of A! Fantastic food, lovely people and awesome service. Highly recommended. I had indian-burmese fusion samosas, Yangon street cafes style, the best I ever had!
Monthinga is good although pretty mild for my taste. More than decent warm mushy tofu. One of the best Nangyithoke. Complementary sago pudding is great too. We didn't have the time for dessert so they packed it for us. Can't recommend them enough.“

“This place exceeded my expectations! The spicy boiled fish was flavorful and authentic, with just the right level of heat and tenderness. The fish was very fresh and paired perfectly with rice. The bok choy was cooked just right and balanced the meal nicely, and the fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside without being greasy.

Portions were generous, food came out quickly, and everything tasted freshly made. The restaurant was clean, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. I’ll be coming back!“

“Waited in the rain for about 40 minutes. Was glad this place didn't dissappoint. Beef Bowl, Dumplings, and Beef Noodles were really good. I got so full I couldn't try the Dan Dan Noodles or Spicy Beef Soup. Not pictures was the shrimp fried rice which was also tasty. Would come back again.“

“Cute dessert spot that feels reminiscent of classic HK/TW dessert shops. We came on a Saturday night and were seated right away—no wait. It’s largely a self-service experience (ordering straight from the menu and servers are basically just runners).

Prices are a little on the high side, but kudos to them for delivering dishes that actually look like the photos. Therefore, there are plenty of Instagram-worthy items for those looking for that! Good experience, but not necessarily a repeatable one.

(For taste, I do recommend the mango/grape dessert - though that’s not as unique as the other items).“

“They were not joking when they called this comfort food. I was sick, and it was raining, so I wanted something warm and hearty. This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

Portion size was also very generous, which is always important. The menu was also pretty varied, I could imagine coming back multiple times and trying something new each time.“

One day we met by chance on the road, and my aunt still remembered me!After chatting for a while and saying goodbye, she said that she wanted to treat her to a meal next time she went to a restaurant. I didn't take it to heart. Until a few days ago, I drove by and wanted to eat their bowl of noodles. When I walked in, she was talking on the phone to take orders. When she saw my eyes widened, she asked me to sit down. Not long after, my dry noodles were served. Plus a red oil snack as a treat.This bowl of noodles is quite special. It is neither fried noodles nor sesame noodles, but fried sesame noodles mixed with two sauces. The menu is called "Strange Flavor Noodles". The taste is quite rich. When eating, you should mix it with raw cucumber. The noodles, sauce and refreshing cucumber naturally form a delicious balance that makes you want to take another bite.Maybe it's so strange. After eating it for the first time, I ordered this bowl of noodles from the store every time I came back. Several times when I walked into the store, my aunt yelled at the kitchen, knowing that this was what I ordered.While eating noodles, we talked about many things, including the decline of the newspaper office, and many people left! There are all new faces now, and the lively scenes before are no longer there. I smiled and said, many old employees should come back to see you, right? She laughed and said that it was true. Every once in a while, old faces come to reminisce, including me who showed up today.When she was leaving after the meal, she waved her hand and said don't give me any money. I said give me a tip! “Parking was good. Food is good for reasonable cost. Service is good. No sign on the back door so you can't tell if it's the correct place. I had yellow chicken curry. It was good tasting with good, but not perfectly cooked chicken. The curry is very watery. I used 2/3 of it, and it made my rice an unpleasant soggy consistency. Spice level is pretty spot on.“

I like crab udon (bánh canh cua) the most because it's much better than any Vietnamese restaurants I've tried. Highly recommended.“

“From the outside this looks like a hole in the wall place in a strip mall but inside it's huge and magical! We had a party of 200 people in there and there was still areas for other pattons.
Aside from most of the staff not speaking English to tell us what we were eating when it was brought out we figured it out and everything was uniquely different in its own way!
I usually take food pics but I didn't this time! P.S beer was only 5 bucks a bottle!“

Makes me not want any of the frozen stuff anymore, it tastes so much better when it's fresh. Especially the chicken pot pie, a fresh one is significantly better fresh than the frozen stuff.“

The food is always consistently delicious and the place is small, simple and clean. Easy to order, delicious food. The shoyu and tonkotsu ramen are so tasty and goes so well with their garlic paste. The spicy tuna bowl, spicy tuna on crispy rice and pork buns are alternatives to those who want less carb heavy bowls. A wonderful, local find in MPk.“

“I love coming to T-Kebob! However, the last time I came here I noticed their prices have jumped and they no longer serve their lamb and beef skewers in orders of 10. This is my favorite spot for skewers though and their corn cheese is perfect! They've also switched brands for their Taiwanese sausage and it doesn't taste as good.“

“I’ve been coming here for whenever I want a quick, good Vietnamese sandwich. And they never disappoint.
I definitely recommend their meatball subs and their Saigon sandwich. Their croissant is big, fluffy and warm. Super yummy! Just anything in their menu, thank you very much super yummy.“

This hole in a wall place sells the most delicious noodles. Their #1 special with variety of meat is delicious and I highly recommend trying it. You can choose noodles to your liking - i personally love their thin egg noodles, but the world is your oyster!

I do recommend bringing some cash, they have limited parking in the back but honestly street parking isn't bad around the area. I always come here for comfort food, and it always hits the spot!!!!!

“Good Place/ Stupid Security Guard!!!!
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE STUPID SECURITY GUARD THAT IS RUDE BEYOND WORDS. He scared away so many customers. He was just rude!! Restaurant is great!!! I was told the landlord is worse!! I don’t want retaliation so I won’t post details. But, the restaurant is great. The security guard hassled us despite not having a Handicap parking or trash can on site. He used scared tactics that he’d arrest us with our elderly handicapped parents in the car. He should not be working there, actually not any where else either for that matter!!!“

“This is one of the good business in Monterey Park with good Asian foods. Unfortunately, they no longer provide wi-fi access so a lot of guests no longer come here to work on the 3 coffee tables that are available and just kind of grab their breads and go. This is not a good spot for that if you are interested in finding a place to grab a drink and talk for a long time or do some work but it is a good place to grab one or two, $3 item and then leave. I enjoy coming here for the Buy One, Get One Free Matcha Latte promotion drinks. It is a good deal to be able to two large drinks for the price of one, which is around $6. I recommend always waiting for the promotions, since they always do them, when visiting instead of paying full-price. The new Heytea just opened as well so there is another option for boba drinks and there are lots of Boba drinks down the entire street. There is also the best boba drink(s) and brands that are in the El Monte parts of the San Gabriel Valley like 7Leaves, Boba Time, ShareTea, MeowTea, Ono Tea House, Mira, which is very nearby and just a short drive down the community.“

“Wow one of the strongest standing Hong Kong western restaurants in SGV! I have been to this restaurant a few times as a child and it's still going despite Great Recession and COVID pandemic! Last time I came, it brought back a lot of childhood memories and the food was still amazing! Will come back in the future!“

“Cocary is amazing! I’ve been coming here since 91 when they were two blocks north. I love the broth for Shabu Shabu part and love the bbq beef. I always pick a dish of egg dumplings as a nice pairing. Experiment with your food and give yourself a true treat. Love this place“

“The food was delicious and very affordable! We really enjoyed the Crossing Bridge Noodles and the cold tofu skin salad — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The portion size was generous too.

However, the restaurant could be a bit cleaner. The bathroom, in particular, wasn’t well maintained, which slightly took away from the overall dining experience.

That said, we’ll still come back for the food — just hope they improve the cleanliness!“
