“If you’ve ever been to a Nation’s, you already know the food is fantastic, and very reasonably priced. At the Moraga location the staff is equally fantastic, with a tip of the cap to Jairo.
You see, my Mom is in a nursing home just up the road from the restaurant, and she loves Nation’s milkshakes, so I pick one up for her 2 - 3 times a week. After my second visit, Jairo spotted me walking in, started a milkshake, grabbed the extra cup and straw I use, and had me on my way in 5 minutes.
And I’ve never said a word to him except ‘Hi’. So thanks, Jairo.“

“It was our first time at The Melt, and Luis made the whole visit feel easy and welcoming. He helped us choose what to try, and his recommendations were on point. The Meltburger was juicy and full of flavor, the Mac Daddy was crazy good, and the Three Cheese Classic tasted like real comfort food. Luis checked in on us, made sure everything came out hot, and you could tell he really cares about the guest experience. Because of him, our first visit turned into a new favorite spot.“

“If you crave an old fashion burger complete with iceberg lettuce this place is for you. Today was my first time there and I went with the cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was good. Not great but honest. Gave it 7.5. The crinkled fries were mid. Pretty sure they were frozen. I didn't eat em all. Needed salt. The shake was decent and you get a large. Right there i knew it wouldn't be the best shake. For 20 bucks plus tip it was ok. I don't think i got their best. Next time I'm trying the teriyaki burger and chicken. It's a small, side of the road joint that's so close to being incredible.“

And they have a little hidden oasis in the back where one can eat a crazy good burger & spiced fries.

Beautiful crispy edges on the smashed patties, quality toppings and a fresh bun. Awesome thin fries, drinks served in glass jars. Fun '50s/surf vibe too. Go!“

“This location is conveniently located in the middle of downtown Oakland. I regularly get the fries and grilled cheese sandwich. I love the milkshakes and strawberry lemonade. “Went here late afternoon. Very fun, chill hangout spot. Great beer and cocktail selection. I had the root beer old fashioned, which came with a root beer dumdum! Service was very friendly and alert. Food was delicious. My partner and I both had burgers (patty melt and 5150). We shared the porcetta fries (por que no!). My only minor nitpick is that my medium rare burger wasn't. It was cooked just like my partner's medium, and even that want exactly medium. Luckily both were still juicy and delicious! The fries were bomb. Definitely coming back here and bringing friends.“

“Fudrucker's has the best hamburgers anywhere...bar none! Even the buns they serve hamburgers on are extra delicious. And the Wedge Fries and Sweet Potato Fries are The Best! They have the best Fish and ships also. This place has a cool rustic feel to it, and a nice chill vibe! Don't waste your money on McDonalds, Five Guys, etc. If you want great quality, and big quantity too with a good value for your money...with a homemade burger taste....Fudrucker's is really the best place to get a hamburger. If I could give them 20 stars I would.“

I have enjoyed many different burgers here but I do love the western style with onion rings and bacon and cheese and of course barbecue sauce. I have been here after trips to the Oakland zoo. I have been here with family members that decided to meet here for a great burger and some fries. I've also been here with just a minimal amount of money in my pocket to enjoy a burger and some comfort close to my home neighborhood off of Davis Street. I have to say this place is a hidden gem and if you know it's worth it to go and have a nice burger the way you like it and enjoy your time in San Leandro. It is close to St. Leander's if you are headed there, but it's also really close to most of downtown San Leandro within walking distance which is really enjoyable if you're looking to go up and down East 14th and enjoy all the different businesses of San Leandro has to offer. I really enjoy this place for the flavor and the burgers the way that they're dressed and the size that you can have. It is definitely worth a try.“

“The people working there were really nice and friendly. I ordered a grilled cheese & fries. A little over $6 -not bad these days. And they were good, too. Atmosphere is not great -it’s right across from the Coliseum BART station -but it’s the only place in the immediate vicinity. I was running late to a NIN concert so hadn’t had time to grab something beforehand. There are only two sidewalk tables, so I sat on the fire hydrant. Perfectly fine for a quick bite before a show. They also have a really large menu. I’d stop by again.“

The menu has evolved to include salads (like teriyaki chicken and teriyaki salmon)and some healthier options like quinoa bowls. That said, I still love their bacon cheeseburgers, various fries and tempura zucchini/mushrooms. If you like matcha, the milkshake is a creamy delight!“

I say 20-30 because realistically most people get fries and drink. But just normal burger and drink then 15-20$.

2nd time there brought the wife. She got normal cheeseburger with the fixins and I got the california avocado burger I think was name. Drinks and fries. Delicious. Hit the spot and very filling.“

“Bongo Burger is still the best burger in the Bay.

What makes it so good is the style. It’s not a massive, overloaded burger… it’s light (but filling), balanced, and somehow they manage to make a thin patty that’s still cooked medium-rare, juicy, and perfectly pink in the center. That’s surprisingly hard to find.

The grilled onions have are so good on the burger, really make it a signature. Add fresh chopped lettuce, ripe tomato, and the classic Bongo Burger bun, and it’s just a perfect combo. Also the use of two different color cheeses really makes it visually appetizing.

The fries are equally impressive. They’re crispy on the outside but somehow stay soft, fluffy, and full of actual potato on the inside instead of drying out.

The cooks are talented clearly.

On top of all that, the prices are incredibly reasonable, the staff is always friendly, and the vibe feels like old Berkeley in the best possible way.

The Euclid location is my favorite. I grew up eating there in the ‘90s, and I’m amazed that the quality is still just as good today. Places like this are rare. I hope Bongo Burger is around forever.“

“We visit CaliKids every Wednesday. The staff are sweet and fast. My sons favorite place to eat. Everything is fresh, and fried in avocado oil. My favorite is the coffee milkshake and my son loves the chocolate one. Also, mind you, they serve beer as well. Can't recommend them enough.“

“For starters, we beat the rush lol. Heard good things about this spot. The service was exceptional, and the music was blastin’ ! A vibe for sure. The food was really good. Lots of flavor, cooked to perfection. I would give the burger a 9.7/10 only because they forgot my pickles 😂
The fries were crunchy and not oily, which is a plus.
Lastly, the establishment was clean.

“Sooooo, my husband took me to this place because I’ve never been and wanted a really good burger. It had 4.5 rating so I took a chance. I’m glad I did. When we walked in we were greeted warmly. It’s a hole in the wall vibe but very clean. Our chef was Serena, and boy oh boy did she craft us an amazing tasting double cheeseburger. We even asked for a medium cook and she delivered. We also ordered the onion rings, French fries, and a pineapple shake. These are a MUST!

“Been to Barney's several times. Fantastic burgers and shakes. But be ready to spend a pretty penny (been getting more expensive). Got the Moroccan burger with chicken, and chicken patty was really well done. Highly recommend curly fries. Best part of the meal was the impossible mushroom truffle burger! Really good sandwich. Truffle fries and classic chicken were ok, can skip IMO. Turkish coffee and pink guava shake were excellent. Portions were huge, we had meals for the next day as well.“
