“The food varies day to day, but the drinks stay. If you like coffee, they have good options, if you like smoothies, they have you covered. The workers are friendly and helpful. There are plenty of tables, and comfortable chairs. A nice place to study or hangout between classes or when the cafeteria is closed.“

“Amazing hole in wall. Very pleasant individuals explaing their menu. The coffee is very good; Honey Laveneder latte seems to he their signature and it doesn't disappoint. From the menu we tried the Avocado Toast and Ful plate. Both items were tasty and it was enough to share between two. The Ful came with warm bread, possibly freshly baked. It was an enjoyable experience. Definitely worth the visit and a must try.“

“I would have given the food five stars, but unfortunately, my chicken curry patty was still cold in the center. The first few bites were warm and delicious, so I’d just recommend the staff heating the patties a little longer. Coffee and atmosphere were all great! I’ll definitely give them another try.“

“There were three in my party. We ducked in here to take a break from the cold rain. We ordered a chai, a golden/turmeric chai, and a caffé latté, all with oat milk. It’s our first try of oat milk. We all liked it a lot. The foam on my golden chai was lovely. I’d reorder it anytime. I tried my mate’s latté with oat milk, I can recommend it. The pastries we ordered were all worth the consumption. I’m so glad there was one pretzel cheese bun left. It was delicious even though it wasn’t warm. I highly recommend them. We also ordered a quiche, a chocolate croissant, and an almond pastry. They were all superb. The almond pastry which was super light and flaky tasted like baklava more so than an almond filling. I liked the vibe here. So often I want to grab my order and split, not here. I felt fine taking refuge from the outside environs. The staff were sweet regardless of their spoken English being nearly impossible to understand. It was cool assuming they were part of the refugee program. It felt good being a patron there and the inspired conversation it led to. I am sure my party was surprised I was already knowledgeable about the topic on current refugees. That made our café and conversation time only that much more enjoyable.“

“Wow not only did these bagels look amazing they were also hella delicious. Got half peaches and cream on a regular bagel and half of the “summer girl” on an everything bagel. The bagels were perfectly chewy and the flavors of the bagels were both amazing, do think I liked the savory one better (smth about the grated tomato and the burrata)!

“So beautiful. So delicious. All the pastries look like works of art. I personally love the Horseshoe and Jalousie pastry. It’s not too sweet, wonderfully flaky, and very flavorful. The coffee is authentically strong which I really enjoy. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I truly enjoyed visiting and can’t wait to come back!!“

“Beautiful atmosphere, cultural aesthetics, and a clean, simple setup. The Ethiopian combo was amazing; slightly on the spicy side, but absolutely delicious! We also enjoyed the coffee ceremony, which came with popcorn and such a beautiful presentation.

Definitely recommend this spot for a laid-back Sunday brunch or whenever you’re craving Ethiopian food in the morning. 10/10! will definitely be back! ❤“

“What a gem! In the courtyard of the Anthropology Museum, you’ll find this charming oasis. Everything from the furniture, landscape, menu, and soundtrack are all thoughtfully procured. Afternoon tea consisted of 3 refreshing flavors of tea and 3 sweet dishes. The chia seed porridge was a generous portion with a delicious flavor profile as well as texture. The toasted hazelnuts added a tasty crunch. Blackberries and gooseberries were a nice palate cleanser, and the chia seed flour brownie bites were addictive! The black walnuts and coarse East Bay salt were a perfect combination! I’m thankful they don’t sell these individually otherwise I would be eating them daily. In bulk.Not only was the meal unique and delicious, we also learned some Ohlone history and words as well as heard some lovely songs and spoken word that were pre-recorded. It’s such a nice experience and so much more than just food and drinks!“

“I am so grateful that we finally have a late night chai/street food spot in east bay. Chai & co located at 2115 Pacheco st, Concord is a wonderful addition! We had the anda-shami royale, samosa chaat, and fresh naan khatai from khalifa (if you know, you know). All items were excellent and authentic! “Super awesome place! Was traveling out of town and I got the prosciutto toast with arugula and caramelized onions, and it was great!

The best part was how awesome the staff was with my son. He wanted a mango and peach smoothie which wasn’t on the menu, and they went out of their way to help us customize it into something he would actually like and he loved it.

We’ll definitely go again.“

“I was driving by when I saw a big sign that said MEXICAN FOOD BREAKFAST so you know I whipped right around.

I couldn’t decide if I wanted red or green chilaquiles so they gave them to be divorciado— half and half. I also got a lovely vanilla iced coffee which ended up being HUGE— I took half home and put it in the fridge for tomorrow.

Everything was sooooo flavorful and the place is nice and cute and clean and the owner Samuel was so kind and patient. I felt like I got a lot of value for the amount I paid.

“Palm is pure joy in a bowl. My husband and I surprise each other with Palm delivery on the weekends from time to time. Eating Palm in your bed on a Saturday morning is truly living.

Came here to get away from crowded downtown WC because we couldn't find parking there for our bubble tea craving. 😅 Found this out-of-the-way location. This was a surprisingly nice shop within an updated shopping center. I've had Teaspoon before so I knew it would be decent.

We did a mobile order and the drinks were ready ahead of the scheduled pickup time. The employees were working diligently on other orders and the girl greeted me within a couple minutes or so.

The decor is inviting and cozy featuring a small library. My spouse used the restroom and said it was maintained well, clean and modern looking.

We weren't able to customize the sweetness on our drinks but they turned out fine, a bit on the sweet side. However, the boba to me was a bit overcooked on the outside of the pearls (though the chewiness inside was fine). Also, I didn't taste the honey flavor on what was supposed to be honey boba.“

“Mey Café is truly one of Berkeley's hidden gems! The date latte is unlike anything I've had before, rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. Their pastries are all fantastic, but my personal favorites are the blueberry scone and the tiramisu. Everything is made fresh by the wonderful owner, Sanaz, and you can really taste the care and quality in every bite.
The atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and incredibly welcoming. They even have a cozy little corner filled with cute toys and books to keep kids happily entertained while parents enjoy their coffee. Such a thoughtful touch. Wednesday story time is absolutely adorable.

“Excellent banh mi, & must try the smoothies! Tasty, fresh, and not too sweet (no added sugar). They come with soy milk by default (high protein for the lactose sensitive). I really enjoyed the lemongrass beef banh mi. Note, we went here in the summer and it was pretty warm - we stayed for about 30 mins.“

We tried the Melo Ginger, Melo Chai, Melo Chocolate and Midnight Mystic. All with a “riptide” added and a hybrid of both kava strains. They were all exceptional and unique. They make your tongue numb after a couple sips. Very fun experience with great music. The space is very welcoming. Couches or bar seating. They have an entire wall that is live plants.“
