“We went for dinner on a Friday and there was no wait.
We got the Veggie Spring rolls for appetizer - The peanut sauce and the hot suace were great accompaniments.

We wanted to try the Vegetarian Banh Mi but unfortunately they had run out.
We ended up ordering the Pho Chay - Which was served warm and the broth had a really nice umami flavor (a bit on the salty side though). We also got the Bun Chay - Which was alright - It was very similar to the Pho Chay minus the tasty broth.

The surprise of the day was the Sugarcane Juice with Kumquat - It tasted great!!Quantity for price was questionable as it was just filled with ice but the drink tasted great FWIW.

Very generous portions for the entrees and we had leftovers enough for another meal for two.“

“This place is a neighborhood gem! We keep coming back to Pho Avenue for its wonderfully fresh and flavorful food in a relaxed, casual setting. The staff is always so welcoming (Vin, in particular, is great!), which makes every visit a pleasure.

A huge plus is their dedicated vegetarian menu section, with plenty of delicious and vegan-friendly choices. My go-to order is the #17 Vermicelli Noodle with Tofu. Pro tip: For a little extra, I swap the fried egg roll for their amazing vegetarian summer rolls.

If you’re craving something more spicy, try the #16. White Rice - Chilli Lemongrass Tofu Spicy.

Just a heads-up: parking in the area can be tricky during peak lunch times, but it's always been worth the effort for us. Highly recommend!“

“Some of the best pho I’ve had anywhere. They’re pretty committed to their closing hours, so if you go, be sure to get there at least 40 minutes before closing. The kitchen closes 30 minutes before the dining area. I do wish they had later hours sometimes, but that’s just a selfish desire on my part because our family tends to do things later at night than most people. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and comforting. Everything tastes like it was made with care and real ingredients - nothing heavy, greasy, or overly processed. Looks great, execution needs a little work but by far the only good pho on the Cupertino side of San Jose! Pho noodles slightly overcooked, and the rib is grilled instead of simmered in soup. Soup is great though, and infinite fish sauce table side.

Also, egg coffee and sugar cane are surprisingly genuine; no shortcuts or fillers.“

I haven't been eating lunch at Pho Queen for quite a while. It was still clean and bright inside. I was lucky to be seated right away (it took me 30 minutes on my last visit) To my surprise, they still maintain the good services and high quantity of food. The price has gone up to $20 for large bowl of #2. Service was simple, polite and quick. I received my bowl of noodle soup within 5 minutes. As always, the chicken broth is steaming hot and flavorful, with the aroma of garlic, onion, jalapeno, and basil.“

The taste was authentic.For the food, we ordered one Shrimp spring rolls, one Grilled pork ball spring rolls and one Pho Tai. Pho was decent, the broth was just okay. The other two dishes were good. But, I agreed the price was quite expensive compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I have tried.I think they kinda lack of staff because one lady took the job of waiter + cashier + preparing drinks, one uncle served food and cleaned up tables, and there seemed to be only one chef. Most if not all of their staff is vietnamese so sometimes you'll get a limited response, but to your advantage the food is authentic in that same way. They're super, super kind and service is quick. “This used to be a Burger King but is now a super cute pho restaurant! I love the interior so much, and the seats are comfy.

The staff is super friendly and prompt. Make sure to bring cash so you can tip them as they don’t allow electronic tips. (This is also a note for myself as I didn’t have cash when I came.)

I got the vegan pho but added chicken. There were large portions of veggies and chicken in the soup! The noodles were very bland and kind of soggy and the vegan broth is too bland for my taste but I will probably request a different broth next time.

One has to lower expectations given that this is within the university and caters to a diverse set of diners, so the tastes are milder vs the local Asian staples.
