Thai tea is yummy, I don't taste the overtly strong artificial powder taste of other Thai teas especially at some milk tea shops. Real yummy. Low prices. Very happy and satisfied.“

“I loooove this place! Scrumptiously rich, lick-your-plate-clean, authentic tasting curry options, and very fresh & flavorful veggies. Because you can pick your base, protein, and side, everyone can get what they want! There’s also a little sauce bar off to the side where you can customize it even further.

My order is crispy tofu, a different curry every time, on a bed of shredded lettuce and a side of steamed veggies. Warm, comforting, and indulgent, yet I never feel guilty! Also the limeade is house made, tangy, and VERY refreshing! Not too sweet.

Very vibey and peacefully decorated space with decent seating, considering that it’s cute and cozy inside. High tops and low tops. If you get to-go, the containers they use keeps everything nice and separated! Parking is a little limited but there are a few spots right in front.“

The highlight for me was the pork noodle soup—seriously, it’s the closest thing I’ve found to authentic street noodle soup from Thailand. Such a rare find! “We heard such great things about Sovereign, we had to go our first trip to San Diego! We had to wait a few minutes after our reservation to wait for the table to be free, but the staff was sweet and friendly. Highly recommend a reservation because the place gets BUSY. The inside seating isn’t super large but there is a large bar and outside heated seating as well.
Our waiter, Sean, was fantastic- friendly, helpful, and attentive. He walked us through the menu and pointed out some fan favorites. Their dishes are meant to be shared, so portions are sizable. Definitely get a craft cocktail- they’re beautiful and as delicious as they look. We ordered the beef panang curry and the sizzling eggplant. The curry was exceptional. If it was acceptable to drink the sauce with a straw, I would have. Just a little note of heat. Perfect that it’s there, but not too much. The sizzling eggplant was amazing as well. The flavors, the textures. Highly recommend. For Thai food, it wasn’t crazy. It wasn’t extra. It was just downright good. Sovereign- thank you for an amazing meal. Everyone obviously comes here for the viral Crab Rangoon Burrito, which is understandable. Personally, it was a little bit overwhelming for me. Maybe I would feel differently if o had someone else to share it with, but it was a lot of cream cheese for one sitting and a lot sweeter than I anticipated. The real star of the show is their Spicy Basil Steak Burrito. I can’t even find the words to describe how good it was. “We discovered this restaurant pre-pandemic. Im glad it made it through. We have a calm dinner. Place was not busy during our visit. Guess thats the advantage of going out on a weekday night, with foggy weather.
We enjoyed our brisket pho. Meat slices were thick, wish they were tender and the broth was good, might need to be less salt. Tofu pad thai was good, i opt for mild spice 4/10, in case my toddler wants to try it. Me and my husband loved the Ka Na Moo Krob.
We don't know whats it in the water other than the lemon, but it taste good. We appreciate being given big bottles if water instead of waiting for someone to refill. And thank you for keeping the washroom clean.“
