“While basking under the golden glow of the twin arches I started to ponder on what my 1st and last meal of the day would be. In a final act of desperation to avoid a maybe it's made of a pink paste meat meal I threw my lot in with a rando food near me search. Lo and behold Simply pasta pops up. And it was super close. As I walked in, I was greeted promptly, the lady was very courteous and helpful. My expectations were not high, but WoW, I was pleasantly surprised. My pasta was cooked perfectly. The spinach in my pasta wasn't just an afterthought. The garlic bread was done right. The soup of the day was like a corn chicken Chowder. Something I was shocked to know that I liked. My green apple drink might be my new addiction. Overall this place is a definite 4.7- 4.8. The meatballs in the pasta were so-so. Other than that I enjoyed my meal.“

“Dining here is like eating with family. The short rib ragu is so good we have to force ourselves to try something else. The current scallop and shrimp appetizer has the most delicious lemon butter sauce we had to ask for their homemade bread just to soak up the sauce after eating all the shellfish.“

“Fantastic service and Delicious food. Our server ( didn’t catch her name ) was awesome. I do remember she had a beautiful accent. I believe when asked she said she was originally from Kenya! Kudos to her for taking such good care of us! We live in San Joaquin Valley but we will definitely make the trip back for dinner!“

“They have happy hour through 6pm daily which is good to know. Cocktails were good as well the pizza. The only we had is the clams linguine came in red sauce instead of white, server said he didn't hear it, realized he didn't even repeat the order or the option, was giving it a try even we hate seafood pasta in red sauce, just like you are having red wine with seafood. Pasta was over cooked and salty. The clams were fresh. Waited a while for bill even the restaurant was only 1/3 full. Not a pleasant visit compared to last time during thanksgiving. It was full house but service was quick and food was flawless.“

Vina Enoteca is one of those rare restaurants where everything—from the food to the atmosphere—feels intentional and quietly extraordinary. Housed in the beautifully restored Stanford Barn, the space itself is stunning: high arched ceilings, warm brick walls, and an open kitchen where you can actually watch fresh pasta being made by hand.
The menu is classic Italian but elevated. We tried the spinach tagliatelle with ragù and the burrata with seasonal vegetables—every bite was rich with flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The wine list is equally impressive, with thoughtful regional pairings that feel more curated than trendy.
Service was warm but unintrusive. You can tell this team takes hospitality seriously without being overly formal.
Bonus points for the market inside the restaurant! We left with a bag full of fresh pasta, house-made sauces, and a bottle of wine we’d sampled during dinner. It’s rare to find a place that does dine-in and take-home this well.
Highly recommend for a date night, small group dinner, or even just grabbing a bottle and a pizza to go. Palo Alto is lucky to have this spot.“

“We always enjoy dinner at Olive Garden. Recently we were here with a group of people and everyone liked the experience.
Breadsticks are always a good idea! We also had various Dips for the bread sticks. In appetizers we had Spinach Dip which was tasty and good quantities too.
Two of us shared an entre of Make your own Pasta. By the way, if you are planning to share it, it's better to tell them while ordering so they will bring it in separate plates.
Service was good even though it was a busy day. However out of 10, only 2 people were coming in another car and they were a few minutes late to the restaurant, others were all present but we still had to wait for them to get a table. So just a heads up for your reservations, that entire party should be present at the restaurant on time.“

“We had the most amazing dinner at the restaurant. We were there all weekend. The staff is amazing. The food is out of this world. If you are in the area, you must stop there thank you. I’ve never eaten such an amazing pasta dish and I love Italian food and you guys nailed it and let’s not even start with the lamb chops. Omg. I need to come back again soon.“

“Classic Stanford spot, I’ve been going here for a long time. I think it is only open for breakfast and lunch, but I’ve only gone for lunch. The food is good, with a variety of offerings; I get the sandwiches/paninis. The best part is the sitting outside, where they offer umbrellas. The service is super friendly. There is a lot of parking too which is great!

“Fantastic meal made with care and attention to detail. Fresh ingredients from the farmer's market. Desserts made in the restaurant (normally not done because restaurants otherwise lose money on desserts), even the ice cream. The restaurant is small so they can keep track of everyone and not run their kitchen as an assembly line. The customers are mostly regulars.“

“In truth, I recommend Jessica --the front desk-- who makes sure that I receive extra marinara as well as extra sauce Anglaise... for takeout. Until, we talked, I stopped ordering from Terun on principle. I was a frequent client. Takeout customers must be honored for requests that are gladly honored when in the dining room. Takeout customers should be thanked for not causing dirty tablecloths and dishes -- and LOYALTY. Jessica reinstated that loyalty. I truly hope that the owners appreciate her. Without extra sauces the food is too dry. With it, delicious. The prices honor extra sauces and more!“

“I ordered the make-your-own-pasta bowl with fettuccine and marinara sauce. The breadsticks were amazing and the pasta was pretty good. Our waitress was really nice and we got our soups in about 3 minutes. Even though they didn’t have fettuccine on their make-your-own-pasta bowl, she made sure I got it free of charge. The main course came about 5 minutes later. Overall it was a nice experience.“

“I was out with Triple T, and Eightball, not really bustin things up, but we weren't holding anything back either, and we ended up in Fremont of all places! Well, it not our fault because those pesky Oakland Pinkerton boys told us to get on the hwy going south and don't come back! Anyway..We found Strizzi's Italian Restaurant where we were welcomed like long lost family, and had an Amazing dinner. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Celebrated my friend's birthday here. Initially we were a party of 4 but later some friends decided to give a surprise and joined in.. The staff here was really accommodating and they let us change the table so everyone can sit together and celebrate our friend.

I was craving for pasta. And thats how I got to discover this place. I ordered the chicken fettucine alfredo. Love the dish with its chunky chicken pieces and al dente pasta. The complimentary cheese sticks with that cheese pimiento cheese spread was a delightful surprise. Next time Ill check their lasagna and clam chowder. I heard their clam chowder is as good as Boulins in San Francisco. I dont have to make a drive to the city to enjoy a good bowl of chowder. The lasagna looks so rich as well as their chopino. Im definitely comjng back.“

“Staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the format for a simple and fast ordering.
Prices were reasonable with proper sized portions and the bread bar was simple option if you need a little more food with a simple meal.
The meat ravioli was amazing and the best I have had in Hayward and was perfectly complemented by the Cesar salad.“

“I have enjoyed each and every time I have visited. I have had a few dishes off the menu and they have been mouthwatering delights. Everything is fresh and they bring cheese and pepper to grind at the table. Very accommodating for a small to med size group. Staff is very responsive my bread nor my water glass were never empty. The owner is a very nice gentleman and has a lot of restaurant experience, remembered my name and what I usually drink.
Parking is ok, so give yourself a few minutes to get a good spot. The place is decorated in a vintage and reminds me of the places in the Bronx. Handicap seating is available and I would encourage making a reservation. Quiet place for lunch or dinner. Enjoy !!!“

“Was excited to try Tony Gemignani’s “Apricot Fields” slice (exclusive to Mountain View), and he did not disappoint. Chalk up another winner that went great with our Cal-Italia, and the Wise Guy. A little Hot Honey and extra fig preserve allowed us to add a custom touch as each desired. Can’t even complain about the wait for a closer Slice House, because I know Tony Respects the Craft too much to rush any location before they are up to the highest standards. Bravo!“

“I’m always telling my friends about A-Town Pizza in Union City because it’s just that good! Every time I go, I know I’m getting fresh, hot, and delicious pizza. The crust is the perfect balance of crispy and soft, and they don’t skimp on the toppings. Whether you’re into classic pepperoni or something fully loaded, you really can’t go wrong.
But what really makes this place special is the owner, Green. He’s super down-to-earth and one of the kindest people you’ll meet. He genuinely cares about his customers, and you can tell he puts a lot of love into the food. It’s that kind of place where you feel like family, not just another customer.
On top of the great pizza, their wings and garlic bread are solid too. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service is always on point.
If you haven’t been to A-Town Pizza, you’re seriously missing out. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

“No amount of "good" food can make up for blatant violations of the law. Just like rats in the kitchen are a health risk to all patrons, rats in service are just as bad. And you have rats! Denying a blind person access because of her guide dog is 100% horrible and inexcusable. And against the law. If I was the owner, I'd be tracking down the guest and profusely apologizing while firing the employees who broke the law. Humiliating a guest by denying them access is unconscionable. Shame on you! Until this situation is rectified and all employees properly trained on the Americans with Disabilities Act, NO ONE SHOULD PATRONIZE HOWIE'S Update: Owner contacted individuals involved to rectify the situation. Staff is being educated about service dig access and the ADA. He also is making a contribution to Canine Companions for Independence. Hopefully this will improve not only access for service dig teams, but elevate everyone's experience at Howie's.“

“We ended up finding this place by chance because we’re waiting for a table at Bill’s Cafe. We decided to walk the plaza and I smelled the aroma of freshly made pizza. We had to GO in. As a New Yorker, I am seriously picky about my pizza. It needs to be thin, crispy with gooey cheese and a great sauce. This place checks off all of the boxes. The owner was super sweet and explained she got the ingredients from the East coast to make it truly delicious pizza. Don’t sleep on this gem!“

“My partner and I were out on a bicycle ride on the bay trail and in search of a good lunch spot where we could sit outside. We came across this place and decided to give it a go. We were very pleased all around! We chose the “Veggie Gourmet pizza” and it was just what we’d were looking for! It was made with tons of fresh cut veggies (saw them cut fresh for our pizza) and a delicious mix of cheeses cooked just right. The pizza was super delicious!! Best pizza I’ve had in a while. The 14” was more than enough for the two of us and it’s very affordable. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our pizza and a couple cold Modelos at a cute little table outside beneath the shade of a large umbrella. We loved this place!
