“An exceptional culinary experience at Protégé in Palo Alto. Every dish showcased masterful technique and impeccable flavors. The A5 Japanese Wagyu Ribeye was perfectly marbled and melted effortlessly, while the Crab and Caviar delivered a luxurious balance of brine and sweetness. The lobster toast was crisp, buttery, and indulgent, and the Black Bass—flawless in execution—was the best I’ve encountered. The Ricotta Dumplings , delicate yet deeply flavorful, rounded out an unforgettable meal. The shigoku oysters with whipped ponzu were indescribably fresh and flavorful. The sunflower Caesar, with its preserved tomato jam, was a unique and unforgettable twist on a classic. As for the brick chicken that we took to go, it was so delicious that it barely made it home before being devoured. The experience was elevated even further by the outstanding service—every person was kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to creating a memorable evening. A true showcase of precision, creativity, and hospitality“

“I had an amazing experience at Italico Restaurant! The food was fresh and flavorful, especially the truffle pasta and wood-fired pizza. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was cozy yet modern. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of their delicious dishes. Highly recommend!“

“Wow! What a place! Vibe is chill and cheque, the food was top notch and the service was outstanding.
So gluten free friendly !!
The beef tongue skewer melts the mouth and is something I was considering to take for desert as well. Our whole table did not leave a bite in the plate.
Kudus, keep it up.“

“Very good food and friendly service. They also have heated outdoor seating.
The whole branzino entree and Muhammara dip are both very good. I've gotten both multiple times. They also serve complimentary warm sesame bread which is delicious.“

“Exceptional and very charismatic service, with the slight caveat that the atmosphere becomes a touch less intimate date vibes and a touch more “you're dining in Italy with family” vibes. As long as you understand that you will love it!“

“From the moment we stepped into La Catalana, we were transported to an authentic Spanish-Catalan experience. The atmosphere exudes warmth, passion, and attention to detail, making it the perfect place for a memorable evening. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish crafted with care and rich in flavor. The tapas were exquisite, and the hand-selected Spanish-Catalan wines perfectly complemented our meal. Rodrigo, our server, went above and beyond, providing exceptional recommendations and ensuring we had an incredible dining experience. His attentiveness and knowledge truly elevated our visit. A special highlight was meeting Monserrat, the owner, whose kindness and hospitality made us feel at home. Her love for the community and dedication to creating a welcoming space is evident in every aspect of La Catalana. We visited to celebrate friendship and an award received by one of our friends, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. As community leaders, we wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to everyone. La Catalana is more than a restaurant—it’s an experience filled with passion, culture, tradition, and heart. We have found a new favorite spot, and more importantly, a new friend in Monserrat and her team.“

“Elan is a quaint, small, tightly knit French bistro. The food is decent but way overpriced for what they serve. I appreciate the family-style, Parisian feel with small tables, tightly packed with one another, and truly having a less than 15 tables or so. You feel like you're in a small town bistro, somewhere in France. The set up is good.
But here is where it goes all wrong. The entire menu and set up feels like they are trying to dime and nickel every dollar out of you. First, they don't give you free bread automatically, only upon request. 20% of gratuity is added to each table no matter what you order. And .... $45 for a plate of decent linguine vongole. Now, if the linguine was special, I would understand. The pasta itself was well made. But the flavor was watery and bland. Plenty of garlic. I can see the effort. But I can't justify the $45 price.
Bistro Elan is living off of those folks yearning to get a French bistro feel in a small cozy setting. But once you experience it, it is certainly not worth the second time. Food is decent. Quite good food. But at the price point, I would say you can certainly do better.
I really wanted Elan to be good. And I think if I squint my eyes, I can sort of make sense of it. But again, you're eyes will pop open wide as you see the bill, as clearly what you ate will not compute to what you owe. Probably won't return for a long long time.“
“I discovered this great gem of a bar during the final Hayward B street block party of the season! The owner was very friendly & the bar tender was amazing! She was working so hard because it was super busy. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken wings & they were the best I'd ever had. YUM!! They took awhile to come but as I said they were super busy at the time, but they were well worth the wait. Come on down to Blue Crown Bar & Bistro!!“

“This is a good Italian place to go to. Food is good, the ambiance is good and the service is great. Very intimate setting and you get to know the owner himself. I had the precciutto melone for appetizer. The balance of sweet and a little salty is great. For main course, I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious. Had tiramisu for dessert and that was good too. Good wine selection. Will definitely go back.“

“Love this place when they’re for a company happy hour good wine good finger food nice atmosphere on the patio with a fire pit. This is attached to Shashi hotel right next to the computer, history, museum, and the century movie theater.
The waiters were excellent good service“
“I would say this is one of the best teas I’ve been to. Excellent food choices with flavor (minus the too sweet taco pastry). Good amount of food & beautiful presentation.
The downside was the actual tea was ok in flavor. It would have been good to have it in a pot to steep. We loved the matcha.“
