“Lovely spot to unwind after work. The lighting is soft, and the playlist was a nice mix of chill indie and soul. I had a gin and tonic that was perfectly made — lots of fresh lime and just the right amount of tonic. The bartender was friendly and remembered my name by the second visit, which made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time. The bar snacks are surprisingly good too — highly recommend the truffle popcorn.“

“Stopped in with some friends for lunch on a Friday and was warmly greeted by the hostess upon walking in. We were sat right away and had drinks on the table in no time! Clyde was bartending and was so attentive and made sure everything we had was just right. The burger I had was great and the medallions fries were a better than I was expecting! “All residents of the Morongo Basin know that our home doesn't have much of a bar scene, which is fine for the granola munching rock climbers, ganja purists, and christian conservatives that prolly make up 90% of the population, but for those of us who love downing beer and belting along with the jukebox, making new best friends whose names you won't remember, or need a place to kill time before returning home up or down the hill, then the Monument Bar might be your home-away-from-groan! I'm always surprised that none of my acquaintances have heard of it, but then again, it IS the kind of place you'd miss even if you were looking for it. if you're headed there from Yucca, when you get to Cactus Mart, keep looking left and DON'T BLINK. When I lived in Morongo Valley I would try to go in at least once a week, because if I've learned one thing in 47 years of gypsy wandering it's that there's nothing like a good locals bar. It's a melting pot to be sure, the place could be full of scary bikers one day, and full of pronoun-defying LGBT's the next, but this, of course, is exactly what makes the place so great, and if you've been going there long enough, you can always take refuge with the regulars.

I could write the next Great American Novel describing the place if I hunch over my keyboard long enough, but I'll try to wrap this up with some "things done right" bullet points:
- daily drink specials
- taco Tuesday, and usually some kind of special on Hallmark Holidays
- outdoor patios (equipped w/ fire pit in the winter)
- a bewildering number of menu items for such a small place, if you're the indecisive type, just get the signature monument burger...and the food is also bewilderingly good for pub fare, and if judged in that context, bump my 3-star rating up to 4.5
- Chad is a great bartender. Treat him well, and he'll return the compliment.

That should do it. I should've made a review years ago, and a recent visit reminded me how remiss I've been, even under new ownership, it was exactly liked i'd hoped it would be...as if a month had gone by and not a year. I <3 this bar!

I didn’t wait more than a minute for someone to come say “hi”, Carlos was the first to help me. Andre was the next to help. Both were super nice and made my day.
Carlos has been bartending for 17 years and it shows. He has great suggestions on the food menu, and made a perfect cocktail exactly the way it should be.

“Came in on a Wednesday afternoon. Trevor behind the bar was very welcoming. He talked to myself and my BF. He complimented me on my shirt. Told us about the area. The service was on point and you can't beat a beer with an amazing view price aside.“

“This was our third time at the Purple Room and first time catching the Judy Show. Feels like stepping back in time to the supper club era. We really enjoyed the show, but full disclosure it’s geared towards an older crowd. Michael Holmes, the creator and star of the show, is great. There’s audience engagement and lots of humor.

The cocktails are fantastic and keeping with the overall ambiance. Service staff is top notch. Our group of four felt that the food wasn’t quite up to par tho. Could be because it’s early season and the kitchen may be getting its stride. Portions are generous. We shared a carrot cake slice for dessert and polished it off!

We are lucky to live near the Purple room and look forward to visiting again to check out other entertainers. It’s a special venue that’s unique to Palm Springs.“

It may not look like much from the outside, but you can count on getting exceptional ribs, and good Buffalo wings. It is also a bar so I can get noisy and sometimes rowdy. I have family and friends that make this a destination for ribs. The Coyote Cone ice cream shop is right next-door. It’s easy access from Highway 62. It’s better to drive down a block or two to find the light to get back on the highway going northbound. The service is fast and the chefs take pride and what they do.“

“Came here for the first time and didn’t know what to expect. Walking in, there is bar seating to the right and dining tables on the left. The whole place has a dive bar vibe, but in an awesome way. My husband ordered the everything burger and I ordered the brisket cheese burger. we both absolutely loved our burgers as they were cooked to perfection. Also, the condiments were fresh and tasty. We also ordered a couple beers on tap. The marshmallow stout was delicious. I can’t wait to come back here again for more!! For people considering bringing in the whole family: I would say it is not a rowdy bar but it is more oriented towards adults.

“We went to Birba on an exceptionally hot night and sat at the bar. We stayed cool by the misters and had a wonderful evening. The Bartender Lugo was insightful, friendly, efficient and professional. Our food (melon/prosciutto salad and specialty pizza) was amazing and service was well timed. Although not hungry enough for dessert, the menu looked fantastic. I commend Birba for a lovely evening in a lovely al fresco setting. It was also wonderful to be slightly out of town - a little more peaceful than some of the down town settings.“

“I went to a lunch here with my work crew. There were around 15 of us and the service was excellent. The server did not mess anything up and everything came out pretty quickly. I got the shrimp tacos which were great. It seems like the menu is pretty focused on seafood and they had a pretty extensive selection of drinks.“

They require $30 minimum spending for every person at the table, though.
You will not be allowed to sit inside the sports bar area without buying food or drinks.
The food was decent, and prices were fair.
It’s a little noisy sometimes because the bar is open in the middle of the casino.
