“Eight Desert Divas dined at Sí Bon Restaurant in Rancho Mirage on Thursday. We were celebrating one of our own lovely Diva's birthday. We made reservations ahead of time (thankfully) because they were VERY busy. It is a popular place. The service was excellent. The menu was great. They offer a summer menu which includes a three course dinner for $32. They also have a happy hour menu. I ordered the meat loaf dinner and it was delicious and plentiful. Others selected steak with fries, tacos, mussels, and a few other items. There were no complaints at all. They even brought out a birthday chocolate mousse with a candle and 8 individual spoons to honor our birthday girl. Our server was wonderful and he gave us separate checks (which we always appreciate). It was definitely a special night and we highly recommend Sí Bon. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. You won't be disappointed.“

We all indulged in a mai tai, they were perfect. We can't wait to dine here again. The atmosphere was great, our server was very pleasant. “There are two meals in my (now 27) years of life that have made me feel this way. I came in on a whim with my boyfriend after finding this place on google maps. We were staying in a nearby town for a few days, searching for a last minute birthday dinner spot that seemed like a serious restaurant and not just pricey for the sake of being pricey. Decor and vibe seemed promising from the pictures and I’m a sucker for tapas, but our expectations were tempered going in. The ambience, cuisine, and service that greeted us at Del Rey blew my expectations out of the water completely. Tucked away inside a beautiful and very quintessentially palm springs hotel, Del Rey’s dining room provides stunning decor and vibes galore. However, I found the dim lit patio was too cozy to resist on a nice warm desert evening). Kai (hope i’m spelling it correctly) was our server, and despite our short-notice arrival well after the peak of dinner service, his hospitality was superb. We never felt rushed, and our many questions were answered thoroughly and patiently. We rushed out of the gate with a massive order of different tapas, and he was considerate enough to help us dial it back to a more appropriate amount of food given the portions. If i had one note at all, it was that the mushroom dish is missing something texturally, but it was nevertheless delicious and had we not had so many other dishes on our table i’m certain we would have finished it quickly. Besides that, everything that touched our table was utterly spectacular. The house gin martini was perhaps the best martini i have ever had (as a gin martini drinker), and my boyfriend who hates gin AND martinis was shocked at how much he enjoyed it. The sangria was another standout drink. I could go on and on, but in short: if you find yourself in this corner of the desert you would be a fool to not pay Del Rey a visit.

p.s. the cheesecake desert makes for a perfect nightcap, and i’ve never cared much for cheesecake“

The younger club crowd enjoys the bar after 9 p.m. Friday nights always draw a big crowd of all ages. A line to get in forms around 4 p.m. Takes about 20 minutes to get inside once a line forms. Plenty of special events at night such as guest singers on the weekend and karaoke Sunday to Tuesday after 9 p.m. This is the kind of place where the bartenders get to know you and remember your drinks. In addition to the great vibe, the chandelier over the main bar is decorated for seasonal holidays. Very attractive.“

“Concise Review Great poolside food, drinks, & staff ----- Longer Review We have visited Marriott’s Shadow Ridge in Palm Desert since 2002, and afternoons at the pool, with food and drinks from Chuckwalla Bar & Grill, are a bit part of every trip. One of my all time favorite photos is from a nice afternoon, poolside, several years ago when the kids were little... it was one of our most fun and peaceful afternoons as a family anywhere... the photos is of our daughter, asleep on my wonderful wife, my wonderful wife smiling at me, and our son was on the chair in between us, smiling as he was drinking a strawberry smoothie from Chuckwalla’s... such a blessing. We visited Southern California - Palm Desert, Yucaipa, and Malibu - for Spring Break 2021. This trip we had more activities off-property than usual, so we only got one nice long afternoon at the pool, and RebekahM made it a little extra special. The sun, the water, fun in the pool... and smoothies... such a joy. Before I had a chance to think about it, smoothies were en route from Chuckwalla... strawberry, banana, and alcohol-free pina colada. Rebekah delivered them to us with a big smile and infectiously positive attitude. Rebekah turned the fun up a notch with her dancing and smiling and laughing as she took our orders and delivered to the families around the pool... everyone was extra happy when she was around. Stopped in for drinks and sushi while at the Marriott. Our serving staff and support were Gerardo, another Veronica, David, Ricky and Jennifer all amazing individuals. We have known Gerardo for years and he a terrific individual. The ambiance was upbeat and positive and the sushi quite good.
I often state that people and relationship far exceed the location or event and here at JW you get the best of both worlds. The music duo was good and the food, service and staff were simply amazing. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place to chill, enjoy a few drinks, grab some fresh sushi and listen to live music. Ricky was our server on Saturday night and was very efficient, professional and kind. We have been going to this spot for about 8 years and just thoroughly enjoy the vibe and ambiance. We started with Don Julio Blanco, club soda, 3 limes muddled and mint and then ordered the crunchy roll and jw roll. I also had a ceasar salad. The two entertainers were fantastic and played a wide range of rock and roll and country hits. The customer service and overall experience were simply therapeutic. Highly recommended.“

I didn’t wait more than a minute for someone to come say “hi”, Carlos was the first to help me. Andre was the next to help. Both were super nice and made my day.

“My knowledge base is one visit on December 23. I found Tryst to be a fun and inviting place. The barter was attentive. It was a mixed (age, gender) and friendly crowd. I am not aware of a food menu and therefore didn’t rate. To me it was a bit more relaxed than the nearby Arenas venues. I’d come back anytime for a drink and chat with friends. Patrons were laughing and having a good time. The “vibe” was good.“

“I chanced on this place from a person I met at a bar downtown DHS. Looks kinda trashy from the outside but don't judge this book by its cover. The best Karaoke experience I've ever had and I do it a lot. A real stage, stage lighting, smoke machines and friggin A, an actual guitar player who looks like Mick Mars playing along if he knows the song and he seemed to know them all! I sang Black Keys, Deep Purple and The Who so right up his alley. Redd was impressed enough that he bought me a shot after I sang The Seeker, never had a DJ buy me a drink! Both the bartenders were super nice and drinks were really inexpensive so this place freaking rocks. Great crowd too, lots of really friendly locals. And also get this, the place has several pool tables, the longest shuffleboard I've ever seen and dog friendly too!“
