“I came by on a hot day, and I was thirsty. The nice reviews from Yelp caught my eyes. I love the minimalist decoration in this coffee place. They are pet friendly as I saw pet owners bring their dogs in. I asked the barista for recommendation. The barista was very patient and knowledgeable about their coffee. She recommended the big island latte and collagen crush. The big island latter has macadamia nuts flavor to it. It reminds me about Hawaii. The name is the perfect match of this coffee. The collagen crush is a health choice. They also offered a big package for purchase that we can brew it ourselves at home.

Came by again in 2 weeks, and the coffee came o it as good as the first time! Great quality control! Will continue to stop by if I am in the area.“

Their breakfast selection is solid. I always go for the avocado toast, it’s a favorite of mine, especially because they bake their own bread. It’s so fresh and flavorful! This time, I also tried the seasonal banana matcha latte. It was a bit on the sweet side for me, but still enjoyable.

My boyfriend ordered the buttermilk biscuit & egg sandwich and a vanilla latte both were a hit. They also have an impressive coffee selection and several locations to choose from, which is a bonus. The staff is always friendly and efficient, making the experience even better.

We love coming here, but a quick pro tip: try to avoid Sundays if you’re looking for a peaceful coffee moment. They share a door with the church next door, and once that door opens, brace yourself for a flood of people. Still love this place but not when I’m sipping in a sea of chaos. Lol.“

“Yes yes, another Country/Chicken Fried Steak breakfast 😋 this time at the mom & pop shop Sunny Side Cafe in Seal Beach. They took over a defunct Denny's and are making it their own.

They served some of the darkest orange egg yolks I've yet to see at a diner/cafe. Super dark orange eggs yolks usually signify the hen had a diet rich in carotenoids, which are pigments found in plants like marigolds, alfalfa, and other foraged foods. They were deliciously sticky. And instead of a toast option, they bring you a homemade biscuit, halved, then griddled on the cut side (nice touch) and served with heavily cinnamoned whipped butter.

The stand out for me were the hash browns, nicely crispy yet tender within and I'm fairly certain they were flat topped using clarified butter. They were incredibly delicious just on their own.

Friendly service rounded out a very nice meal. It's barley 10 min from home so I'll definitely be back.“

I found this spot when I was looking for a place to take my sister to eat. When we saw the menu we were excited and it didn’t disappoint.

We decided to do breakfast today and go back for lunch next time.

The place was clean and the customer service was excellent.

Our food was freshly prepared and so delicious.
My waffle was crispy outside and fluffy inside with a buttery flavor. My potatoes were seasoned well with actual seasoning not just salt and oil. The eggs were cooked well too.

I seriously had a great breakfast.

Her avocado toast looked great and she said all the ingredients tasted fresh and ripe without being mushy and the bread had a great texture and wasn’t affected by the moisture of the vegetables.

We 100% are coming back. You should also try it out, totally recommended.“

“This place has become a favorite because they do two things good; coffee and pastries. The most impeccable combo food, other than ketchup fries. Service was quick and easy they make their own pastries, which is rare for a coffee shop. Bear signature menu is creative and executed well. I went in one of my basic B cookie butter latte ended up getting something else. Mango cold brew. Wow. Two flavor that can meld so nice so nice. mixing the drink so you don’t have the code foam with the ice“

“I completed an online order the day before Christmas eve. I was expecting to wait in a very long line. Other than parking which I found in the next parking lot which was not bad. I was literally in and out in 15 minutes it was amazing. AND I was able to order additional items to my order in a specific cashier, and that was amazingly efficient as well....the quality is not only good but the man/woman power they had up there is a well oiled machine! Kudos for an amazing efficient system that not only makes the customer happy, but has calm employees handle everything with a team oriented approach. It was beautiful!!!! “I ordered the cinnamon oat latte, and I'm usually not a fan of oatmilk but it was balanced so well against the espresso and the cinnamon that it didn't dominate the flavor. It was a very smooth drink, not too sweet, not too bitter, and not too strong.

My wife got the strawberry matcha latte, and while the matcha was of a decent grade and quality, the strawberry isn't a puree, nor is it like a strawberry creme or milk added in, it's an additive in powder form and she doesn't tend to like that.

Their chocolate croissant, which we shared, was heated up as requested, it came with a line of melted chocolate drizzle on top, which I think was similar to Nutella but less thick in terms of consistency. It was also topped with powder sugar, and it had an inserted line of darker chocolate, maybe 65%, so pretty balanced against the sweetness of everything else involved.

The area the cafe is located in is nice, it's a large promenade with several nicer restaurants (it's also sort of attached to it's restaurant counterpart) and there's plenty to walk around and get some shopping done or walk off the drinks and baked sweets. Plenty of parking as well, and the mall itself is only a block or two north from the cafe.“
