“Did I just drive across town after having a mediocre burrito only to get this divine download of a meal. Why yes I did. Worth it. Got bacon and chorizo for less than $15. Just spent 21 down the street and couldn’t do it. Crappy competitor pictured in back where it belongs. Front breakfast burrito pictured in front, close to me, where it’s warm 😏🫰🏽 never had a bad meal here. You’re welcome.“

“The ambiance is great and the drinks and food are delicious but severely overpriced. They started off doing $5 tacos which is pricey but fine for the quality of the food but quickly hiked up their prices. Considering the quality which im well aware of as I’ve made many of these dishes myself (I’m Mexican) I’m still willing to pay their prices.
That being said, the pricing for some of the simpler items on menu like quesadillas are absurd in my opinion. Small tortillas with cheese and watercress for $7.50 each is just insulting to my heritage. $6.50 for mole, sure, that’s a complicated dish. $7.50 for cheese in a tortilla, no. Please be more judicious in your pricing and menu building.“

“Maggies has been our family go to for mexican food for I dont even know how many years now. Their carne asada, bean rice & cheese burrtitos are favs but corn burritos are too. Its a toss up at times lol so we sometimes get the asada burrito + corn burritos & share.
Hot sauce could make anything taste good haha because its so tasty with just the right amt of heat
Easy location & staff are always so nice. Our family loves their food so much we even used them for catering my sons rehearsal dinner😁“

“I gotta say it was my first time trying this taco spot in Ventura. the tacos was super deelish, fresh guac and chips, and the rice was Soo good😋 follow your taste buds!!! I highly recommend try this place out if you haven't already you won't be disappointed!!!“

“I came here she micheladas and appetizers with a friend. First time I got chips and salsa and was disappointed. They didn’t have guacamole and their salsa was a miss for me. The spicy sauce was really spicy though so I liked that but no flavor. Their French fries though are incredible. They taste like McDonald’s fries and they give you double the amount for only $4. I’ve never had a Michelada before but I feel like it could have been better. And the mix was just ok. Will still go back for one and definitely for the fries. The decor is not it. Cobwebs on the walls everything looks outdated. The booths are dark and dingy. Not a good place for a date night. Stick to the drinks and fries and you’ll be fine.“

“Its hard to find a good Mexican food spot in this area for me that I will actually like and Lalo's is one of the spots that I like!The meat is good quality compared to a few other local Mexican restaurants I've tried around the area, my go to meat is usually carne asada or chicken and my favorite dishes to get here are tortas, burritos, and nachos.“

“Absolutely astonishingly delicious. Service was quick, multilingual, fantastically polite, and the food came out hot and fast. There's only one table, it wobbles a bit, and you're overlooking a parking lot, but the food is good enough to close your eyes and take you anywhere else you'd like to go“

“found this truck open late after a concert and it was still super busy at 11 pm .... lots of locals so I knew it would be good...it was actually GREAT, the tacos at this truck were quite possibly the best I've ever had in my life!!! yummy salsa too , fresh churros and really friendly staff. If I'm lucky enough to visit Ventura again I'll definitely go back to this place!!! thank you !!!! 10/10“

“I flew in from Boston and my mom is from up the coast in Santa Margarita. This was a perfect start to our Ojai experience. Delicious meal. So many options and we each enjoyed or respective meals: Mango Snapper and Quinoa Greens, and Grilled veggie Quesadilla. Delish! All on the cozy, charming patio strung with festive lights.“

“This place rocks. Salsa bar and free chips if you’re eating “for here”. Carnitas have crispy bits and are well cooked. Their prices are affordable, have fun drinks as well. You can see them making tortillas and generous portions. A lot of intentionality and a job well done. Best Mexican food in Ventura in my opinion.“

“A homey restaurant, with the most friendly staff that makes you feel at home, so much so I forgot to take pictures and videos of the place 🤣. The star of the show came right away, the refried beans with the chips and salsa! 🤤🤤🤤. I can't remember the last time something was that good! Plenty of on site parking, handicap ♿️ friendly parking and entrance, lots and LOTS of menu options (including vegan)

“Always a treat when I'm in that part of Ventura. I had some corn burritos & a Carne asada burrito and they were excellent as always! The owner is super friendly. He says they've been there 50 years now! I love supporting small businesses like this one. I'll definitely be back again, hopefully they're still hanging on.“
