Overall, the food has a tasty, lighter, and balanced flavor profile that we enjoy. But talking about service, can you imagine our surprise when a waitress walked over to our table and gave us 50.00 in cash (not credit) saying that we overpaid on our last visit - a month ago! “Hidden gem!! It's tucked inside an abandoned food court. All the other stores within the food court are closed. It's the last one standing from the aftermath of the pandemic. Grabbed some quick sushi to take back to the hotel.
The sushi is surprisingly very good and fresh! Sashimi is buttery and silky. Price is very reasonable, and portions are just right. Sushi rolls and sashimi were delightful!“

“The food was absolutely outstanding rolls were very fresh and chicken and spicy pork were tender and juicy. Meats were all perfectly seasoned. Bento box is great deal. Tempura was amazing and so was the california roll. Atmosphere was very traditional and felt like a miniature japan. Service was very very friendly and kind and welcoming. Been here multiple times and never rude service, coming back again!

“My family and I love visiting Yokozuna’s for their great food and atmosphere. The owner is a great guy who makes the best hand rolls I’ve had! It’s always a joy talking with him and the staff! Yokozuna’s will continue to be my go to spot for great sushi and conversation with my family!“

“Hands down BEST sushi in Ventura! We come here at least once a week. Highly recommend parking along the street, catching sunset on the beach, then coming here for dinner. Although everything I’ve ordered here has been excellent, my very favorites are the Avocado Bomb (the best I’ve ever had) and the Sushi House Roll. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly, and attentive.“

“Just tried this sushi spot near the beach. It’s great! The food is high quality, the service is great, it comes out relatively fast. I can’t help but think that their prices are a little too high, particularly bc of the location which is a parking lot basically you expect it to be cheap and it’s not. While price will prevent me from coming back too often, I do hope to return here soon. Recommend trying this spot if you haven’t and you’re in the area. I personally recommend their Katsu and the yellowtail basic roll. They also do a good hot scallop roll thing.“

“In my top 3 sushi places in ventura (Seaward sushi, Banzai Marina, and now Koba sushi). This restaurant is a smaller place that is cozy and inviting. It's a more traditional sushi restaurant that serves the freshest sushi! The staff was very nice and friendly. The place was spotless and pleasant to be in. And the food was delicious! It is pricey bit worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants quality sushi (and sake)!“

“My boyfriend and I never tried this place before and we were looking for something local and something not super pricey so we tried this place. And we didn’t really have too many expectations of what was going to happen, but we were overwhelmed with the incredible quality of this food. The food and the service was outstanding, and even though they were closing shortly, they still attended to us.
