“In San Fernando on business. Decided to have dinner while waiting for traffic to die down a bit. Doing a search Carbon Grill sounded good. When we got there we were the only customers. Nice little place but other reviews suggested something else and parking for some reason was non existent. Had to park two blocks away! Good menu and prices were fair for these times. Food took a bit long even though it was only us. That is a good thing since it means freshly cooked. Ordered a burger, salads and fried Yucca. Good meal overall. Clean place with outdoor patio along with inside tables. Only complaint was too much plastic used for this level of dining.“

“The prime rib I ordered for Christmas dinner was the best I’ve had from anywhere I’ve ordered in the past. I ordered a 5-rib roast lightly seasoned and bones cut away/ tied. Thank you for making our dinner the best for our holiday. Will not go anywhere else again. Wish I could post a picture to show how beautiful it came out. Tender, flavorful, perfectly marbled. “We stopped here on the way home from LA. The food is cooked to order, so very fresh and hot! There is a little wait but worth it. If I am traveling through that area again and hungry for small restaurants cuisine , I’m stopping there! I have had Korean Bbque before but this informal way with plates, tacos and bowls is genius. I ordered the sirloin bibimbap. I customized it with no rice just salad greens, the shredded veggies, protein and sweet egg. Two sauces came with it on the side. It was delicious! I’ll dream about that meal! My husband ordered the chicken Katsu bowl. He also really enjoyed it. He is no on the veggies ( rice and protein, sauce) and I am always trying to keep it low carb. The chef was willing to customized kindly with no rice. There are tofu options. There are options for many food lifestyles. Delicious and robust with freshness and flavor!“

“If I could give more than five stars, I would! This was hands down the best Korean BBQ I’ve ever had. The quality of the food was incredible, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the amazing staff.

Our server, Andrew, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely excited to share the experience with us. He taught us some of his favorite grilling and eating techniques, along with little tips that made us feel so much more connected to the culture rather than just dining at a restaurant. The rest of the staff was just as warm, welcoming, and helpful, creating such a fun and comfortable atmosphere.

“The food was amazing. Got the crispy shawarma with chicken and I was taken for a ride to flavor city. Idk what wizardry they did in the kitchen but I was hooked at the first bite.

The crispy shawarma with beef was pretty good too. It is cooked with a little lamb fat, so it was slightly gamey. Not really what I like, but if you like lamb then you'll probably really like the beef.

I also got a chicken thigh plate. It's your standard chicken plate that you'd get at Mediterranean places. Char on the chicken tasted great as well as the chicken itself. I'm not usually the biggest fan of hummus but the hummus here tasted better than other places.

Next time I'd probably just get one crispy shawarma chicken. It's pretty filling. Can't wait to come again!“

Everything paired perfectly with rice & fresh vegetable salad. The appetizers, egg soup, spicy soup, kimchi, broccoli, & brussel sprouts were also excellent.

“Classic valley restaurant. I come just infrequently enough to know the food hasn’t changed much if at all over the years. I’ve done to-go a few times and it’s just the same. Sometimes it’s a little warm up front, sometimes it takes a while if it’s busy. But it’s worth it when the food comes.“

With the exception of the cabbage (seasoned well, just too al dente for our liking), the rice & gravy, mac and cheese, collard greens and BBQ beans were delicious!!! “After the 4th restaurant in Tujunga failed to make good Shawarma, I thought I would have to drive all the way to Glendale for the only good Shawarma I know, that I get from a food truck. I didn't know Shawarma House existed until today. The dine in place is nice and spacious, the service was kind, and for the first time in Tujunga that I know of, this a restaurant that didn't serve dry wraps with no garnishes.“

Perfect Crust and Smoke. Cole Slaw was cut well, light and tasty. Beans had good smoke and we're tasty, although seemed like from a can. The Pickles are really good, you can just about eat them by themselves as I did on the drive home. This is just about as close to TX BBQ that I've had around these parts and a lot better than the closest Chain. Only thing missing are some Onions, different BBQ sauces (ex. Vinegary, Spicy) and a Gallon of sweet tea. Highly recommend this place. I will be back.“

“This place is under New Management for about three months and the new owners are super friendly. The atmosphere is great. The food is delicious. My favorite is the chicken Lula kebab wrap. If you get the plate, you can ask for hummus on the side or extra tomato sauce. In the plate, you get some Mediterranean style rice with your choice of meat on top.“

He was very clear about no shortcuts or rushing the process.The jambalaya and gumbo were the best items I ordered today (11/11). I will definitely order these again. They were the best I ever tasted. I anticipate the grilled meats being tasty because I tasted some of the meat in my gumbo and jambalaya at it was good and cooked to perfection.The sides were disappointing and I will not order again:Mac and Cheese:A little dry. Too much salt, too much unmelted cheese. Lacked a creamy inside. The bottom and top were just globs of unmelted cheese. Will not order again.Collard Greens:Tasted bland as if from a can. Mixed with spinach and mainly tasted like spinach. Will not order again. I added the greens to my gumbo so I didn’t waste them. Let’s be clear, the greens weren’t horrible. I grew up picking and eating freshly picked collards so I have high standards for greens.Red Beans & Rice:Beans were cold and tasted like they were from a can. Not the Louisiana red beans and rice I was expecting at all. Rice was undercooked with a slight crunch. I added the rice to my gumbo when I reheated it on the stove. I will figure out what to do with the beans.Customer service was good. The lady was very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure every customer was taken care of. She even gave out peanut butter cookies while we waited. Bring your patience as this is a small-scale (lean) food-service establishment.I spent $30 for 2 half orders of gumbo and jambalaya ($10 each), and 3 sides. I probably could have saved a few dollars if I ordered a veggie plate. It was a little pricey for the portion sizes. I charge it to the gumbo and jambalaya which was $10 each and served in 8oz containers. I usually pay $8 for 12oz or 16oz of soup.On a positive note, I got to sample the menu. I know what I like and don’t like. I don’t expect to like every menu item at any restaurant. Bottomline, I will go again.“
