“This is one of the closest hotpot place to Stanford. We chose a two-person package for $89, including 2 bobas, two plates of beef, one plate of lamb and seafood, one plate of noodles and vermicelli, one plate of tofu, and one sweet. That's more than enough food but we finished it!Unique small individual pot, only wish it was sunk in the table. It has the basic sauces and spices, wish there is more.“

“From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like regulars — warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. Service was flawless all night: timely drink refills, thoughtful answers to menu questions, and spot-on recommendations that made ordering easy and fun.
The sushi is insanely fresh. Every roll and piece of nigiri tasted clean, perfectly cut, and beautifully balanced. Whether you’re into classic sashimi or more creative rolls, everything is done right. The menu is also impressively broad — not just sushi, but tempura, grilled dishes, and specialty items that clearly show how much they care about quality. Personally, I’m a big fan of the sake kama (salmon collar) — rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
The atmosphere strikes that rare balance of traditional and relaxed, making it ideal for date night or a special dinner with friends or family. We didn’t do a tatami room this time, but even the main dining area felt cozy and authentic. There’s real sushi culture here — not just good food, but the full experience.
Parking and reservations were easy (a huge win in Palo Alto), and I left already planning my next visit. If you’re looking for excellent sushi, genuinely kind staff, and a place that truly delivers on quality, this is it.“

“Definitely a hidden gem! Got salmon nigiri and Curry Katsu. The salmon slice was thick, we were pleasantly surprised by the amount and quality. Katsu had a nice subtle crisp to it even covered in curry. Beef yaki udon was really really good, Highly recommend and worth it. We will be back :)“

“Solid spot for some Chongqing style food. Everything I've had so far has been very fresh, quite flavourful, and generously portioned with reasonable prices. The ground pork dry noodles are my personal go-to favourite. As typical of Chongqing style food, the spice level really hits nicely! Service is polite and fairly quick. The restaurant is pretty well kept and clean as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out.“

“Just went in for lunch and wow they've leveled up! Overall a solid 4.5!
The things that we used to like were all still yummy, and some things that I hadn't been impressed by were really good!
In particular:
- The youtiao 油條 deep fried doughnut stick was freshly fried and amazing. Maybe a smidge on the heavily crispy fried side but yummy and chewy. The best youtiao I've had in years (but I don't really go out of my way to order this normally since it's often stale). Will definitely get this again!
- the soup dumplings Xiao Long Bao had a nice delicate skin and were tender and flavorful.
- the ground chicken skewer and chicken heart skewer and chicken porridge were really good still. Porridge is still a little salty for my taste but yummy.
- service was fast, friendly, and attentive.
They had a sizzling meat dish on a cast iron that smelled amazing - will look for it on the extensive menu next time.
Great job! Hope to be back often.
Previous review from Feb 2025 or so:
Really like the porridge and the skewers. Consistently good. I like to get the chicken heart. Tsukune ground chicken is pretty good!
The scallion pancake is pretty good.
Kid likes the XLB but I think they're mediocre
Noodles pretty mediocre in my opinion.
Would recommend avoiding the fried stuff (fried shrimp tasted frozen but maybe it's improved in a year?).
Friendly staff but sometimes need to work to get their attention (but I appreciate the friendliness).“

“Second time here, very delicious and authentic Leshan Sichuan food. The service is great as well! We mistakenly ordered the same dishes twice, and the owner friendly gave us one for free.
I’ve added this restaurant as my favorite list the Bay Area ☺️“

“I ordered the creme brulee online for pick up. I came in and it was already ready but then I wondered why it looked different. I was just going to go with it anyway but they called me few mins later to say that it was the wrong one and they fixed it for me and even brought it outside to my car. Thank you! Appreciate it a lot“
“Delicious 8 veggie snowflake dumplings! Loved it!!! Thank you!“

“We loved the food as always; high quality ingredients paired with great preparation made for a lovely dinner. What sets this Burma XX location apart from the others that I have visited in SF is the hospitality of the manager/host, Anh! She made an otherwise fine evening, great with her attentiveness and good humour. We will frequent this Burma Love location even more frequently- Hari“

“There are more and more Korean BBQ restaurants, and I think they are all the same. But here is easy to parking and easy to get the table .
The space is large and the meat quality is good.
Many Ayce's barbecue meats are of poor quality. If you want good quality beef and pork belly, this is one of the restaurants with affordable prices , good service .“

“My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Yeobo. We had the oyster, uni, scallion croissant, amberjack, crispy anchovy rice and scallops. For dessert we had the milk cream with sesame and nut brittle. Everything was delicious. We were comfortably full. We had a corner table near the front so it wasn't noisy even though the restaurant was full. Highly recommended.“

“Food is super fast, just like Hong Kong. The Portuguese fish baked rice is really good. They call it Lisbon fish rice here. We also ordered ox tongue spaghetti, the sauce is just okay, it was supposed to be tomato sauce but it was more like a gravy. I've had better of this one.
If you're craving Hong Kong food, this is a decent choice. There aren't that many on the peninsula.
The service is so fast that they were literally taking the plate out from under me while I was still trying to finish the last bite. At least they didn't pull the spoon out of my hand 😂“

“I accidentally placed my order at the wrong location online, but the staff were super helpful and quickly rearranged it for me. The service was smooth and friendly. The food itself was really delicious — fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. Highly recommend!“

“Authentic Hong Kong style Chinese food with high quality food.
The quality of the food here is a highlight. All that is familiar with Hong Kong style Chinese will agree.
Everything we have ever ordered had always been up to our standard and we have had Chinese food all our lives.
The food is not too oily, not too sweet, not too salty. All the flavors are very balanced.
The HK milk tea is was made in a traditional and authentic way. The bitterness and sweetness is well balanced.
I highly recommend this place!“

“A restaurant that stays true to the original taste of these old dishes. I’ve been disappointed by a handful of other well known Korean restaurants on El Camino as they’ve been making their dishes way too sweet to make it more palatable for the masses. I’ll probably come back here often whenever I come back to SJ. I got soondae gopchang guk and jjokbal :)“
