“Let me start off by saying that it is hard finding authentic soul food outside of the south. With that being said, my meal was hot and flavorful. I had the tri tip with Mac and cheese, greens, cornbread and a cucumber/onion salad with a side of Suela’s signature Hennessy sauce. Everything was delectable, well seasoned and I would definitely order again. The Mac and cheese is definitely grandma approved! I didn’t get any dessert but maybe next time I’ll try a pie or the cobbler. Suela’s soul food does not miss so give it a try!!“

“The flavor of the tacos is good, compared to other taquerias in this area, except that they are tacos with a single tortilla, and in general I like that they serve two tortillas. In general, customer service is not very friendly. They are only involved in their work and don't take the time to say hello or say thank you for the purchase.“

“We had such an incredibly positive experience with Social Paella. We ordered our catering with delivery and set-up for a party. The delivery was prompt and all supplies for set up were assembled quickly. The paellas were beautiful and delicious! We also thoroughly enjoyed the Tortillas which we had to accompany the meal. I cannot recommend Social Paella more highly and I will definitely use them again for future events!“

“I've lived in the. neighborhood and always knew Baked It Myself was here but because of work and just being plain forgetful, i never had the chance to try it until a few weeks ago. I've been there once a week since and i'll continue to be a regular. Some of the best food in the area for a great price. I've stuck to their sandwiches so far: hanger steak panini, brie prosciutto and pear and the fried chicken and fries special. all three HIT. and the delicious free cookie with them is icing on the cake.

it's a side street on van nuys, no frills cozy inside with outdoor seating that's actually on one of the nicer feeling streets in this area.

“Awesome tortas, I'm a chilango and these tortas are legit. I came with a party of three and we ordered different tortas. My favorite was the torta chilanga. The order took a few minutes but everything came out fresh. The ingredients looked high quality. These tortas also have the good cheese (quesillo or queso Oaxaca) so that's a plus. The gentleman who took out orders did a great job of walking us through the different menu items and told us which were the most popular. I did ask for a more custom torta and he basically said, no problem we can do that. Aguas were good too. I live in scv but I will be coming out here to get these tasty tortas.“

“We booked El Churro Man for our wedding reception. They have a person making freshly fried churro & serving to our guests right outside the truck. Their churro were so light & crispy with plenty dipping sauce choices. Our guests raved over this late night treat. If you're looking to really surprise your guests on wedding or next event, we highly recommend this churro truck!“

“Hollywood Hidden House was fantastic- the best event venue I've worked with in LA!!! The outdoor courtyard with it's hedge walls, elegant fountain, and gorgeous chandeliers created the perfect garden party atmosphere. We asked Betty if she'd be able to work with purple for our food/beverages to support our event's theme, and she went above and beyond! Everything was so innovative, fun and creative, and delicious! This is the perfect spot for a private event!“

“AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING Perfectly tucked away all by its private self with plenty of guest parking. The outside courtyard is extremely quaint with its string lighting, beautifully lush trees & vegetation, and fire pit with bench seating. Inside, the restaurant presents itself like a home away from home, complete with cute photos of farm animals which ordain the walls to remind you why you're about to eat VEGAN food. Every server conducts themselves with both a professionalism and passion for their career which is obvious to see right off the bat. The menu is HUGE and caters to everything you may be in the mood for, and includes an ALL DAY breakfast menu which boasts arguably the greatest dish on the menu - The Breakfast Sandwich. If you've had it you know why I say that; if you haven't, have it. They service all types of cuisine - from French American to Italian to Japanese (including sushi and ramen!) to Mexican and even Greek/middle eastern. The drink menu is EXTENSIVE and includes freshly made smoothies and juices - sweet drinks which are topped only by their sweet treat desserts. Cupcakes, fresh/warm brownie sundaes, cheesecakes...it's all at your disposal and all wonderful. Jack has been our server several times and has always been an absolute pleasure.“

“The service was VERY friendly. My server, and several others, greeted me with genuine smiles. Started with Warak Enab Dolma/Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), which were excellent. They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes. The tomatoes are perfect! Beautiful tea service. Very quaint atmosphere, friendly staff with genuine smiles, everything well presented. Will definitely be back. FYI: Ample free parking on the roof, enter on Western Ave (Petco).“

The venue was very accommodating and the staff made sure that we, our bridal party, and all the guests were taken care of at every moment. “This review is to show that tahini was added to our uber eats delivery order when we said no to tahini (spoke with the person on the phone and was told that upload pictures for proof. uber eats told me to speak to the restaurant directly). My gf loves your food but she is severely allergic to tahini. And I always specify no tahini but you guys sometime put tahini (happened again). She wont eat so we need to throw it away“

“The pace looks truly grand once you pull into their driveway. They really know how to put on a show with the screen to welcome you to the particular event. The permanent red carpet is such a brilliant idea to glam up any event. However, when you are approaching this venue, the street looks a bit sketchy. But once you pull into the small street, you’ll see that it is in an enclave of Los Angeles.

“I love Dave’s! He has lots of great things to buy! He sells at the Redondo beach farmers market and hermosa beach farmers market. I am kind of upset because first of all, they don’t take card at all locations. And second of all, his prices are too much. $7.00 for a small container? I mean, maybe like $5. But I still do recommend to people who have never tried Dave’s before!“

“We have been working with Haute Chefs LA for at least 9 years!
Haute Chefs are always the first on my list when I have to cater a dinner or event.

Their prices are incredibly reasonable for everything you get, but lets be honest, we're here to talk about their food. Their food is always delicious and portions VERY generous. Their presentation is also something you can't forget about, we eat with our eyes first.

They have also become very conscientious of people's dietary needs over the years that I never have trouble finding gluten-free or vegan options on their menu for those with dietary restrictions.

I was going to list some of my personal favorites, but then the list got very long. However, you can't go wrong with their roasted cauliflower, steak & shrimp. Their charcuterie & cheese board is also very beautiful and delicious with the freshest in-season fruits. Their menu has something for everyone, and they are willing to take any other adjustment should you need them for one reason or another.

Definitely worth having them cater your next event/dinner, etc.“

“I had been craving Efo Riro (vegetable soup), pounded yam, and Jollof for a while now and was told to try The Peppered Goat. I ordered Jollof and chicken and it did not disappoint!! That rice was so good and the chicken was cooked to perfection falling off the bone. I do like my rice a little spicier as I am accustomed to about 3 habaneros but it was still good! The man that greeted me was super nice as well. I can't wait to go back for the pounded yam and vegetable!“

“Contemporary Catering is incredible. Period. Hire them. It will be the best decision you make. It certainly was ours. My (now) wife and I spent over a year planning our wedding weekend and Rob, Rachel, and, of course, Chef Nate, were there for us every step of the way. First, the food: It is 5-stars, no joke. I am a “foodie” and a bit of a self-admitted food snob. Honestly, I would drive an hour daily to Encino to eat in their test kitchen 7 days a week if they would let me. Even now, three weeks after our wedding, our guests continue to rave to me about the food (pro tip: you NEED to serve the mini chicken and waffles appetizer). Trust me when I tell you that their execution was flawless and the quality was exquisite. Second, the people: You will not find a more invested, passionate, and sincere team of individuals who love what they do and are so good at it. They are unbelievably responsive, overly generous with their time, extremely attentive to detail and endlessly patient. Without a doubt, we can say that thanks to Contemporary our wedding day was perfect and we are so grateful to everyone on the team. “Jeff catered my wedding and I could not ask for a better caterer. The first thing I loved about Mr. Ardi's was the menu. It's comprehensive. You can pretty much get anything you want, and he'll still have some surprises! I actually didn't get much of an opportunity to enjoy the food itself, being the groom, but it was all delicious. Jeff was great to work with. He and my wedding planner pretty much took care of everything for us. Jeff and the staff were great and we all had a wonderful time! Highly recommended!“

Having had an Italian Chef for a Father, I grew up being able to tell good Italian flavors from a simple dish like Meatballs and Sauce (gravy)! Both were excellent from Sugo!
