“I wanted to make a special mention of this place since I was staying next door at the Motel 6 and I think it deserves a mention. Firstly, I grew up in a chinese takeaway and this place brought back a lot of memories. The owner reminded me of my mum when I was growing up.
Ok, the seating area is small-ish and fairly standard. The menus feature a lot of the usual Canton/HK fare. However I tried the beef horfun lunch special and its exactly how the best ones are made. Lots of noodles and onion, plus a good amount of tender beef. A very good price, especially for Pasadena.
For dinner, the black bean fish, salt'n'pepper chicken and broccoli/sausage fried rice was delicious and VERY generous. The vegetarian hot and sour soup was standard, but the owner kindly gave me a few egg rolls too which were hot and tasty.
Highly recommend.“
“Some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had. I loved the pork dumplings. The vegan ones are outstanding too. I’ve gotten them 3 occasions now. I will definitely get them whenever they are nearby.“

“A really wonderful dining experience! The food is so creative while maintaining integrity to both Thai and Japanese cuisines. It was really fun to be all seated at the bar for the Autumn kaiseki menu. The sommelier was so fun and friendly and recommended not only incredible wines, but bonus sake tastings well. it's the kind of place that does a fixed menu, but you wanna keep going back because it rotates and everyone's so friendly a perfect blend of upscale and Neighbourhood vibe..“

“Amazing poke bowl (repeat order) with fresh salmon and/or tuna, avocado, seaweed salad, kani salad, cucumbers, ginger and wasabi on sushi rice- like a monstrous sushi roll! The lady taking the counter orders is cheery, friendly and has a good time remembering the orders of regular customers :) While the ambiance is bare bones for dine-in, the food and service is really what you come for.“

“OMG this place is fire. Don't judge the restaurant by the exterior. It truly is a hole-in-the-wall, hidden gem. I was losing hope in LA restaurants (we're visiting from NorCal) but this was honestly the best Thai food I've ever had! We tried the Panang Curry with Tofu and the Drunken Noodles with Tofu. EXCELLENT VEGETARIAN OPTIONS!! Everything tasted homemade, authentic, and most of all, FRESH! I can't wait to return and try other dishes :)“

“Great spot for Korean comfort food in Pasadena! We ordered japchae, tteokbokki, galbi, kimchi fried rice, honey garlic chicken, and spicy chicken, everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and generous in portions.
Service was fantastic, our server was on point and kept the Diet Cokes coming without us asking. The space is big, has a projector and multiple TVs for watching sports, and parking is super convenient right next door (paid lot).
Definitely a new go-to for casual eats and hanging out with friends.“
