“I've been coming here for about 8 months now. It's about 10 miles from my house but totally worth the drive. Last call is at midnight on the All You Can Eat, after pm there is a discount on Forgien beers and Soju. The house Sake is great, all the food is awesome along with the whole staff! Dalia ( the server ) is great and always makes sure we have everything we need and very friendly. The owner Eileen is often working here just as hard as her staff, and the chef is always on point with ever dish!“

“One of the best omakases I’ve ever had. Although it was on the pricier side, it was pretty worth every penny. The chef was very welcoming and friendly as well as the servers. Really enjoyable and unique experience with fish I have never heard of, including the white salmon.“

Both times coming here we opted for their 12 piece omakase course with assorted appetizers. Rather than keep repeating the other great reviews on how good the fish tasted, and how fresh the fish was, I’d like to bring attention to how good the rice being used was. Sushi lovers typically focus on the fish, but at the end of the day, fresh fish, is fresh fish… In my opinion, I agree with the notion that it’s the rice that truly makes or breaks the nigiri. And however way the Chef makes his rice is really exceptional, in addition to using the right amount with each piece. Include this with very cold beer, and now you have a winning combination.
In addition to the food, I appreciated the comfortable atmosphere Taira has. Sometimes when we would try other omakase places, the atmosphere was a little too pretentious, just to justify the higher price point.
Thank you Ben and Ayako for another great family sushi night, and next time we will definitely opt for the bar, lol.“

“This was a wonderful dining experience! Me and my friend already loved to order takeout from here, but it got even better when we dined in. There is a regular menu and a fully vegan menu, and the vegan options are delicious! Their vegan ramen broth is smooth and savory with many flavors to enjoy. We got the best ice cream I've ever had, which was cold, silky and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy with warm lighting and comfortable booths. One of the best parts was the service. Our waiter, Thang, was friendly and quick with great service. Over all, I would love to come back soon!“

I got a combo plate and unlike other Japanese restaurants I actually got beef that was properly cooked. “Absolutely loved this sushi spot! The fish was incredibly fresh, and the salad was light and tasty. They had a Christmas salmon special that was such a great deal--5 pieces of salmon sashimi, 2 pieces of salmon sushi, and a classic salmon roll. Perfect for salmon lovers!

I also tried the shishito peppers, which were nicely charred with just the right amount of spice. The spicy tuna rainbow roll was another highlight--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made.

The service was awesome too. Chrystal was my server and she was so cool, funny, and made the whole experience even better. She was so professional and down to earth! Definitely a place I'd come back to again! You should give it a try if you're in the area!

He don’t really eat fish, but when he tasted the hamachi kama , he said it’s the best tasting grilled fish. Salmon and tuna are the most dominant options and they carry some unique toppings. Kimchi, pickles, ika (squid) sansai salad and hot cheetos are just a few things on the bar you can add.

Finish off with their house sauce and you've got a nice quick lunch for about $15.

It's harder to justify paying $15 - $20 for quick service these days but when you feel taken care of and appreciated you best believe I will come back.

J Sushi knows how to do it right. We stopped in for lunch when we got to California and it was so good we came back the next day. We tried a few rolls, nigiri, udon, and some of their fried options.
