50 Best Vegan Restaurants near Playa Del Rey

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“Didn't fail to meet our expectations. We had a table of 4 and we were good to go in just about 30 minutes. The noodles and meat were so good and the staff were very attentive. Our server, Evelyn refilled water and broth as well as bringing us our food. As a fellow food enjoyer I would definitely have to put this hotpot place up there it was so good. Very great place and I will definitely be coming back.“

Parking: Very tiny parking lot with most spaces with 10 minutes limits for pickup for other businesses so we parked in neighborhood.“

“As we walked in there was no hostess and all the bartenders saw us but turned the other way. We waited but it looked completely empty so we were a bit confused whether or not they were open. They could have said, "welcome, someone will be with you shortly".My friend had to walk up and ask if we find a spot or wait for someone. They said we need to wait for a hostess (not friendly at all). The hostess was nice and so was our waiter, THANKFULLY. I gave 4 stars for the lack of welcoming and because I felt like it was hard to pick something I thought would be good. Food was average, nothing too exciting from what we ordered.“

“The stars aligned. We were overjoyed to find a BOB vegan restaurant, inspired by grandcestor Dr. Sebi's alkaline nutritional guide. Highly recommend Beyond Vegan - Culver City. The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. Purple wild rice was a delightful surprise. Diversity in texture, flavor, colors, and quality ingredients. No better way to catch up with a friend than eating outdoors at Beyond Vegan!“

“Quaint, friendly service, amazing French-style pastries, and delicious food. I’ve been here several times over the years. You order at the counter (where you can see all the delicious pastries!) and you are given a number to place on your table for your food to be brought to you. There really are so many choices (see the photos of the bakery case) but I neglected to take a photo of the drink menu. Today, I had the feta omelette and chocolate croissant. Gorgeous presentation and perfect taste and texture! Chaumont Vegan is a find! Don’t just go if you happen to be in the area; make it a destination. Some complain that it is not REALLY a vegan establishment because it is attached to its non-vegan counterpart. To me, this is a plus. The original non-vegan place used to offer some vegan options. But it seems demand was so great, they expanded to offer a fully vegan space with many more options! (I think this happened in 2021.). So, rather than put them down, I choose to celebrate them.
