“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“Didn't fail to meet our expectations. We had a table of 4 and we were good to go in just about 30 minutes. The noodles and meat were so good and the staff were very attentive. Our server, Evelyn refilled water and broth as well as bringing us our food. As a fellow food enjoyer I would definitely have to put this hotpot place up there it was so good. “As a lifelong plant-based eater, I’m always excited to find restaurants that truly understand how to create satisfying vegan cuisine, and Planta Cocina absolutely delivers.

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner here and were impressed by the creativity and flavor of every dish.

We started with the Chicken Fried Mushrooms, which were well seasoned and had an incredible crispy coating. The mushrooms themselves were exactly what you want in a great appetizer.

For mains, we shared the cauliflower wings along with the Al Pastor bowl adding the blackened tofu for protein. The cauliflower wings had tender texture with bold flavors, while the Al Pastor bowl with the blackened tofu was well prepared with a mix of spices that made every bite exciting.

Their mocktail offering is also worth highlighting - we sampled the Cosmic Colada which is a must-try if you enjoy tropical flavors, especially pineapple. It was refreshing.

The service was excellent and the atmosphere welcoming. It’s clear the kitchen understands how to build layers of flavor and create dishes that are satisfying and healthy for you. The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. “BBQ Tofu, Lunch Burrito, Mac n Cheese and oatmeal cookies. I ordered from Uber eats and the food was delicious. I normally get the taco's when I pick the food up my self, but since I was having a delivery, the burrito was the other option and it was so good. Additionally, the BBQ Tofu and Mac n Cheese tasted great! (eyes bigger than my stomach). I have left overs for tomorrow.“

“I recently purchased food from here while attending a conference in the city of Los angeles. It was truly fall off the bone deliciously seasoned chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy. It was a little difficult to separate out some of the smaller Bones from the half chicken but I got through it and enjoyed that I could rend the flesh with my hands because I did not have a knife and fork (I do not mind this it made me feel cool to eat it manually). The bread was spectacular and was baked to a degree of fluffiness that I have not experienced in another bread. I got it with hummus and pickled turnips which were pretty delectable, very toothesome and vibrantly colored. The sauces I chose were the tahini and the red sauce which were both nice accents on the food. I also got a delicious mint lemonade which was the perfect amount of sweet and tart with a nice cool mint flavor.

It is so difficult nowadays to find truly authentic Middle Eastern food, oftentimes it is just a poor imitation co-opted and misappropriated by people from northern Europe who think they have a claim to the land. That's why I am so glad you have gotten food from Jerusalem Chicken where I could tell it was cooked by people truly native to the land.“

The Jollof rice with crispy catfish was cooked to perfection. It came with black beans (delicious!) and sweet plantains.

The burger was good but definitely worth skipping and trying other menu items.

The house lemonade was so refreshing and not too sweet.

“Freshest restaurant quality sashimi and sushi at a reasonable price in the U.S. Their sashimi is top notch. Highly recommend the Hamachi/yellowtail toro (so underrated), the scallops, and the squid/ika, but honestly any of the options won’t disappoint. Also a big fan of their tamago and their Takuan roll (which has fresh perilla leaves inside)!

“Choumont Vegan in Beverly Hills is honestly one of my favorite spots! They have the most amazing croissants – all of them are filled with this super unique oat-based cream that tastes incredible. I’ve never had anything like it before! Everything is vegan and so delicious. I love that they do something new every weekend, like a special pastry or drink – it’s always fun to see what they come up with. The place has a lot of space to sit, super chill vibe, and the staff is really friendly too. Their coffee is amazing, and I’m obsessed with all their signature drinks. “Loved the experience - 5 senses stimulated. Coastal jungle (?) themed decor, zen-like music, and scented smoke that fully relax us before the meal.

Creative dishes with some explosive and unique tastes. It's more on the heavy and complex side which we found inspiring, and it's probably better to go with a drink to offset (can order separately). We also tried the juice pairing - while interesting, we didn't find it enhancing the tasting menu much.

Overall, we would come back for this experience. This reminds us of the experience at Central at Lima, Peru.

Btw, they have valet parking, but we came on a Sunday and could park on the street (no parking after 6pm Mon-Sat). Otherwise available street parking is 4 blocks away.“
