“Yes, Wholefoods is a bit expensive for certain items but it has so much choice and also has a lot of reasonable priced items! We wanted some food to go and had the vegan grilled vegetable sandwich and vegan smoky tempeh TTLA sandwich - these were both delicious! My favourite was the first and my boyfriend preferred the tempeh one! They also have vegan pizza to go if you're in the mood. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The staff handled the mistake very professionally and apologized immediately. They quickly brought us the correct order, and the service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive. Mistakes can happen, but the way they resolved the situation was excellent.“

“Danny Boys pizza is top tier. The toppings are fresh, the crust is crispy and the salads are delicious. We split a few slices including the meatball ricotta and the vodka sauce special which was excellent. We also split the chopped italian salad which was super fresh and had a great variety of toppings.

This spot is also great for families. The gent working the counter was so friendly. He put in notes to not.

“We catered a Christmas dinner for 8 with Il Moro and all the food was delicious! We especially loved the melt-in-your-mouth short ribs, divine vegetables and pasta with olives dishes. We will definitely be back!“

“A vegan friend recommended that we meet up for dinner on a Turaday to enjoy the atmosphere and the sunset. I had never been before and the best part of getting food with friends is to try a little bit of everything! We ordered a lot of shareable items and they were all delicious. My favorite was one of the sushi appetizers that was absolutely delicious.

We also got the matcha berry cheesecake dessert. That was a very nice balance of all flavors and did not overwhelm with a matcha flavor. I will definitely go back there again when I am in Marina Del Ray.

They were great at making seating for our large party (we did make reservations in advance).
The hummus plate had lots of beautiful flavors and veggies that melded perfectly. The roasted cauliflower was especially delicious, with a sumac olive oil (I think, I'm assuming by taste), and a tahina, shug, amba dipping sauce.
The shakshuka was peppery and filling.

“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!“

“As an LA native who worked in pizzerias for 5 years and has made trips to NY and Brooklyn for pizza, I can say Petramale Pizza is some of the best NY-style I’ve had on the West Side. The crust is perfectly thin, the cheese is high quality and well-balanced, and the sauce has a rich tang. The service is also a standout. The owner greets everyone like a lifelong friend, and they’re generous, often handing out drinks or sides while you wait. What they’re doing for the community is impressive.

On a return visit, I tried their recommended Margarita with pepperoni (the “Margaroni”), and it wasn’t for me. They go very heavy on the parmesan and bake it with parm and basil already on, which threw off the balance of the pie. I'd highly recommend they switch to adding the parmesan on afterwards, and using fresh parmesan if they aren't already.

That said, I’d still highly recommend coming here. Stick with their more traditional pies and you’ll get an excellent NY-style experience.“

“Delicious square focaccia style type pizza, light, perfectly crispy pizza bottom, and great flavor. I order a the pepperoni pizza and the pizza slice with crab with sweet chile sauce (bomb) definitely recommend. It’s a small spot so not very much seating space but still cozy and the customer service was great. Because it was small they encouraged us to move some of the table around so our party could sit together which was nice. Chill, good pizza, friendly customer service, and reasonably priced.“
