“Yes, Wholefoods is a bit expensive for certain items but it has so much choice and also has a lot of reasonable priced items! We wanted some food to go and had the vegan grilled vegetable sandwich and vegan smoky tempeh TTLA sandwich - these were both delicious! My favourite was the first and my boyfriend preferred the tempeh one! They also have vegan pizza to go if you're in the mood. I also couldn't resist getting a box of chocolate cookies and a chocolate vegan cupcake - all amazing. Updated from previous review on 2018-06-10“

Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. “Pizza was excellent! Crunchy crust. Very generous with the toppings, unlike some places. It's pretty much a takeout place, While there is seating, it's pretty much an afterthought. If they want to encourage dining there, they could certainly make the dining room more inviting with some simple, inexpensive upgrades. (Like loose the XMAS decorations and Santas. It's almost March, replace the burned-out light bulbs in the chandeliers, red-checked tablecloths on the tables, don't store supplies in the dining room or where visible from it. Some type of partition around the order counter would help).“

“As an LA native who worked in pizzerias for 5 years and has made trips to NY and Brooklyn for pizza, I can say Petramale Pizza is some of the best NY-style I’ve had on the West Side. The crust is perfectly thin, the cheese is high quality and well-balanced, and the sauce has a rich tang. The service is also a standout. The owner greets everyone like a lifelong friend, and they’re generous, often handing out drinks or sides while you wait. What they’re doing for the community is impressive.

On a return visit, I tried their recommended Margarita with pepperoni (the “Margaroni”), and it wasn’t for me. They go very heavy on the parmesan and bake it with parm and basil already on, which threw off the balance of the pie. I'd highly recommend they switch to adding the parmesan on afterwards, and using fresh parmesan if they aren't already.

That said, I’d still highly recommend coming here. Stick with their more traditional pies and you’ll get an excellent NY-style experience.“

“It’s a food stall in the farmer’s market area of The Grove. I ordered a slice of fresh mozzarella, tomato & basil pizza. The pizza was good: very cheesy and lots of topping. However, I wish that the crust was a bit thicker. The very thin crust caused the toppings to slide everywhere when I bit to it.“
