“Their food is a mix of Korean and Chinese. We ended up ordering the Chinese options - salt and pepper beef and shrimp fried rice. Both were good and service was excellent! If we're in the area, this would definitely be one of our options.“

“Showed up on a Sunday around lunchtime with the intent to dine in, but unfortunately (for us), the place was completely packed! We wanted a seat for five, but the place was clearly designed for tables of two and four: so probably would’ve needed to wait a while before we were seated.
We ended up ordering quite a few things: beef noodle soup, pork with dry noodle, lamb noodle soup, pig ears, Liang pi, and the rou jia mou. The food probably took about 30 minutes to cook (which felt quite long but likely was due to the dine-in situation being full). We took it home to eat (15 minute drive) and I’d say that the texture of the food (noodles, bread) were the highlights here - whereas the broth, flavors were just alright. The pig ears were also very good, but almost a little sweet with a good amount of chili oil. I will say, I appreciate the packaging here: always a plus when the noodles are separated from the broth and it doesn’t get soggy from the drive.
Overall, the food was good enough for a fix, but not something I’d go out of my way to get.“

“Are you Team Hot Pot OR Team Dry Pot? If I can't have both, then I'm prob Team Dry Pot when it comes to malatang! For those who love building their own bowls, you have to bookmark this place! The concept is fun and simple. Grab a bowl, fill it with ingredients you want, weigh it (they charge by weight), then let the cashier know your pot preference (soup or dry) and spice levels.
The spice levels are serious here, so be ready to break a sweat. They have a little sauce bar too which adds a nice touch to both types of bowls. Pricing is fair here, especially if you get mostly meat, and I definitely had enough leftovers for another meal to take back.“

“Special Noodle Restaurant is authentic and the food is delicious! The atmosphere is fun and has a good vibe. Although you order on your phone, the service is really good and delivered promptly. We ordered the Tomatoe Shrimp, side of eggplant, and the House Special Braised Pork Belly with Noodles. Delicious!“

“Solid spot for some Chongqing style food. Everything I've had so far has been very fresh, quite flavourful, and generously portioned with reasonable prices. The ground pork dry noodles are my personal go-to favourite. As typical of Chongqing style food, the spice level really hits nicely! Service is polite and fairly quick. The restaurant is pretty well kept and clean as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out.“

“Fantastic Pho and great people.
I ordered the large rare beef pho, and it was exactly what I needed today.
The broth was not greasy or fatty. The meat was perfect, and I was surprised to see how much meat was in my bowl. A nice plus.
I asked for extra lemons, my preference over limes, and they were juicy too, lol
The customer service was great. The gentleman at the counter was very polite, kind, and not overbearing. Seems like a chill, nice person. I also observed how he greated incoming customers, and he just has a good vibe to him.
It's a small establishment, lots of parking nearby.
My bowl was 18$, and I was definitely an 18 dollar bowl due to the extra meat and noodles.
I wish we had this place in my town, just passing through.“

“Delicious dinner in a casual yet lovely environment with tasteful decor. The yellow curry was a standout to me, though everything we ordered was great. We left no crumbs! And friendly service by the owner, who was holding down the fort on his own on a Wednesday evening.“

“Decent, if not generic, place for Vietnamese food. I had the pork chop with broken rice and it was pretty good. The restaurant itself looks pretty rundown, however, with a lot of the decor being leftover pieces from the thai restaurant that occupied this space several years prior to Pho Lan. The ceiling also has a lot of visible mildew and sealant or something spread around that makes it look like it's in the process of being renovated, and the overall atmosphere is slightly dull. Other than that, however, it's quite clean. Staff was super friendly, however, and service was fast since there was only one other person other than myself there at the time as it was a weekday. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in the area and are craving Vietnamese food.“

“Very authentic Shanghainese style food. Spicy soup noodles can sure test your ability to stand hot food. Steamed and fried dumplings, and Xiao Long Bao are must-eat items. Appetizers like jellyfish and stewed spare rib chunks are highly recommended. Mr Song is the owner. He is ever friendly and efficient. This place is a rare find on East Bay.“

“One of my favorite noodle places!! So spicy and so many great greens and sides. My family comes here whenever we can because it’s such a hit. My first time eating here, I poured all the hot spicy sauce into my noodles and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten anything that spicy…“

“Great prices. Good/great flavors. Good/great service.
Everything we ordered was good. Chicken and duck is probably what they were best known for. The pork nuckle was soft but not super flavorful. The intestines were good.

“The food is excellent, though quite pricey ($20 per person not including tips)
過橋米線 is especially ready good.
They only accept cash if your order is $20 or below, and always seem very busy and a bit understaffed.“
