“My wife and I ate here for dinner and had a fantastic experience. We had a couple different glasses of wine and our waiter was amazing at walking us through different samples of wine before we landed on ones we liked. The choices were great.

We were on our honeymoon and the waiter brought out complimentary glasses of rose sparkling wine which was delicious. We started with the beef tartar, the crudo, and sourdough rolls— each was delicious and a great start. Our main dishes were the pumpkin risotto and short rib, both delicious as well. The short rib was so tender it melted in my mouth. We ended with a toffee cake that was delicious and hit the spot.

The staff was incredible the entire time. Our waiter (I think Laura?) was amazing and even gave us a few recommendations on places to try during our visit, which we did!“

His deep knowledge of Caymus wines and the rich history he shared turned our visit into something truly special. “Rombauer allows you to reserve a table for wine by the glass or bottle, and they even welcome outside food for a picnic-style experience at their garden tables. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and make the whole experience feel extra special.

My partner and I visited on my 30th birthday. We couldn’t sit outside because of the rain, but the team set up a lovely table for me inside, complete with a big birthday balloon. Thank you for making my birthday so special!“

“This winery is absolutely beautiful! Che is absolutely the best guide. The wine and champagne we had there was amazing. This was a girls trip stop and we did the Journey of the Senses tasting in the vineyard and I definitely recommend that experience.“

“Food is well prepared, and the staff is super helpful. As a bonus you can buy good wine at a great value, or do a wine tasting. Wednesday is especially special as they select a type of cuisine from different parts of the world. This is more like a 4.5 , but Google does not allow that.“

“Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. “We came to Louis M. Martini Winery to celebrate my cousin’s 30th birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

The wine tasting was absolutely incredible, but what really made the day exceptional was the service — Daniel Robledo was beyond amazing. He made us feel so welcomed, took his time with us, and shared so much knowledge in a way that was engaging, fun, and never rushed.

The cellar tour was such a highlight and made the entire experience feel extra special and elevated. Every detail was thoughtful, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was genuinely top-tier.

“We had an amazing dinner here tonight. It was a busy Friday evening, but the manager found us a place to sit at the bar within about 10 minutes, and apologized for the wait (which was totally unnecessary). I had the surf and turf daily special and my wife had the filet medallions. We shared the butterscotch pudding for dessert, which I would highly recommend. The staff was attentive and the kitchen cooked our steaks to perfection. Highly recommend eating here if you’re in St. Helena“

“ZD was my favorite experience on my recent trip to Napa. The views from the tasting room are idyllic, the wine is phenomenal, and the service is first class. Our host Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history of the winery, their wine making process, as well as the various labels they offer. Sam made everyone in my group feel right at home and was able to cater to each persons level of wine knowledge from introductory to expert.“

Great tasting and our host went above and beyond. While multitasking his guests including a private party, he made us feel more than just welcome. “Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Booked about a month in advance, and the experience was absolutely worth it. A beautiful winery surrounded by vineyards, with a fully open-air courtyard. We can even walk downstairs to see the vines up close. When it came to the tasting, the server walked us through each wine with a map, explaining the vineyard location and vintage in detail. As someone who doesn’t know much about wine, I was surprised that I could actually follow along — and found it genuinely interesting.

Did the four-wine tasting. The most memorable for me were:
• 2019 Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
This one felt very balanced and approachable. Smooth, not overwhelming, and easy to enjoy even without knowing much about wine..
• 2019 Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Clearly the standout. More layered and elegant,it just tastes… more refined.

What really clicked for me was tasting the wines in order from lower to higher price — suddenly it made sense why the more expensive ones are considered better😁.

I’m not really into crowded, hype-driven places. I know Opus One is iconic and always busy, but this winery felt much more low-key and intimate. Beautiful setting, thoughtful service, and a truly hidden gem kind of experience. I really loved it and would happily come back.“

“It was raining when we visited so they set us up on the porch of the main building, which I LOVED. They had the heaters going and offered a cozy blanket. We were allowed to walk literally anywhere we wanted which was such a cool experience to see the bottling process and the cellar. Guillermo took us on an ATV to the best view of the vineyards I have ever seen in all my years of traveling to Napa. He shared some incredible stories from his years in the wine industry.“

“Delis usually have to be cheaper. But this place is expensive. The food was good though, but you can share if you eat less, don't have to buy more. This city doesn't have any chain restaurants nearby so I think this place will be cheaper than other fine dines.“

“We let them know we were coming up to celebrate our anniversary and were greeted with "Happy Anniversary " and then when we were seated and handed menus, we saw that we had special menus that said "Happy Anniversary " on them. “We recently did the Cave Tour with Sparkling and Red Wine Tasting. First off, the location is beautiful. Secondly, the tour with Tony was engaging, informational, and a great overall experience. The caves are fascinating to learn about and see how they age their sparkling wine. The tasting was exceptional and a treat to get to experience some of the finer offerings. This is also one of the more unique experiences in the area because of the sparkling wine. Book it - you won't regret!“

We were treated to the Sherwin Family story of renaissance from destruction in 2020 to a complete rebuild in 2023. “I had heard this is one of the best wineries in Napa Valley, and that turned out to be absolutely true. It’s one of the most visually stunning places I’ve ever visited—rolling hills, beautiful vineyards, and incredible architecture. The tour was absolutely worth it. Nancy was fantastic: extremely entertaining, informative, and clearly very knowledgeable about the winery’s history and its wines. As for the tasting, everything was excellent, and we ended up purchasing several bottles—it was well worth it. The quality is outstanding, and I would absolutely come back again.“

“Paul took good care of us during our tasting - excellent product and off-road vehicle property tour. I tend ask a lot of questions and Paul never hesitated in amply suppling me with knowledge about the property (prior to winery history) and how these 260+ acres, and on-property lake, all coalesce with local wildlife.“

“Had a reunion with all of my prior employees and it was great! They had us in The Vault which was quiet and private, but our waiter came to check on us regularly. The food was fantastic and we all had a great time. What we ate: Hamburgers, Crab Louie salad, mixed salads and salmon. We also had two appetizers and they were both great--a cheese platter and burrata tray. We will be back!“

“Wow this was such an amazing vineyard! We did the hilltop experience and upgraded our tasting to the Library Tasting and the Cab Sav tasting. Was fun to do something different and share both experiences. The gondola's were fun! Very clean and easy to use and a great addition to see Napa Valley. The team were all lovely, very friendly and welcoming and helpful. But I would add that they gave us the right amount of space to spend time chatting about the wines on our own. Loved the gift shop - great additions to the wine purchases. Highly recommend this as a stop whilst in Napa Valley!“

“We've visited about a dozen vineyards in the Napa Valley / Sonoma region and I have to say that this winery is the nicest vineyard I've been to. The inside is beautiful and the views from the patio are stunning. Then of course you have amazing wine to taste! I only wish I had more time to spend here, next time we'll plan for a longer visit. “Mike, our tour guide was super knowledgeable and the grounds were gorgeous! We learned a lot from him and he was a good representative of the estate. Unlike some female employees we encountered after our tour who were rude to one of the guests on our tour and another who was rude to my group. Otherwise it was a good experience.“
