This restaurant has the layout, and feel of Japanese restaurants from days gone by. However, at the same time, it's very modern and stylish.

I entered with my Mom, and we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was very friendly and had a great personality. It turns out he was very knowledgeable as well. I ordered the Salmon Shioyaki Entree, and Mom ordered the Miso Marinated Black Cod Entree. The Entrees come with Soup & Salad. The salad was subtly flavorful. With the greens, vegetables, crunchy topping, and dressing combining to create a delicious starting salad. The Miso Soup was very flavorful, and well balanced. They were both wonderful ways to start a meal. My Salmon Shioyaki was incredible. The Shio (Salt), enhances the natural flavor of the Salmon, and helps in browning, and creating crispy tasty salmon skin. The flesh was firm, yet tender and flaky. Just a squeeze of lemon, and it was perfection exemplified. The accompaniments, and rice, along with the delicious mixed Vegetables made it a complete meal. I had a taste of the Miso Black Cod. The glazed Miso flavor was undeniable, as the Black Cod melted in my mouth, ending in deliciousness.

A Japanese meal embodies that the sum of all parts, equals the whole. The Entrees here are examples of that philosophy.

The prices here are well worth it, considering what you get. The whole staff here is very friendly. Our server helped make our dining experience fantastic. We hope to see him again. We will be back,“

The place is unpretentious orange walls, simple bar seating but Chef Go shows off with whiteboard daily catches, rare fish, and “did you just say gold leaf?” moments. It’s not casual eating. It’s an experience. The price tag made me pause, but each bite justifies it. Friendly service, no fluff, just sushi done really well.“

“Masa-san serves chef's choice, and the food is fresh and delicious. Eating here is an extremely delightful experience. The sweet shrimp with eggs is one of my favorites. Always finish your meal with at least 1 (maybe 2 or ...) of his blue crab rolls. The crab is carefully hand-pulled, the rice is warm, and the seaweed is crisp. You won't find that combination of quality and easy dining experience anywhere else in the Valley. Please try it!“

“The only reason I’m reducing a star is because this place doesn’t sell Thai food anymore. I found them on Google thinking that my kids can get Thai noodles and I can enjoy the sushi. They need to update their profile here as it’s deceiving.

My husband and I were extremely taken care of when we came to eat here. It was our first time today but definitely not our last. We sat at the bar and the chef was amazing. We tried the Kit Roll and it was phenomenal. It was the perfect amount of spicy level too. The vibes where awesome, we will for sure be back for more!!“

“The food is AMAZING. I do feel a bit cheated out of the overall experience. The joint is inside the supermarket and they don’t have a seating area. Something the previous reviews neglected to mention. For a $100+ order and two have to take it to go, it’s definitely not what I expected. We did a picnic nearby to adjust. The food is a culinary trip. I highly recommend them. It is by far one of the best sushi joints in the San Fernando Valley.“

“Busy place but they're always on point. Great once a month sushi restaurant. The selected nigiri is such a great deal it's like $22 and you get 10 PCs of chefs choice sushi + cali roll and a soup and a salad. Can't beat that with a bat. Quality is always on point. Servers are all super nice and attentive. If you have allergies the staff is super helpful with accommodations. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Have to mention the parking (which has nothing to do with the restaurant) I would recommend street parking or anywhere but that back parking lot. Parking staff is a nightmare and overpriced.“

“Nice place cute little place love it but the major problem is the tip that they force you to give is a minimum of 18% and it goes up to like 30%. This is getting way out of hand and really crazy and then they hover over you so they're looking at you while you're giving the tip it makes it very uncomfortable and you don't even let you cook less than 18%. I personally am a very big tipper so I do 20 to 30% minimum but that's cuz I'm crazy and I'm rich but I think it's not fair for regular people to have this as the only choices“

“Definitely needs a higher rating. Cause the sushi here was phenomenal! I mean the taste and quality was just truly amazing. We had the flaming salmon roll. The salmon just melted in your mouth. It had crab in it as well and it didn’t over power it. It blended so nicely together. Then there was a special that the chef made. It was so good. Meant to ask what he puts in it. But it was so delicious. Staff is so friendly and fun loving. They have such a good atmosphere and the service was truly great. We even had their house cold-sake. It was so good.
