“Surprised to see a lot of bad reviews. The guy was very friendly and it wasn't busy when we went. Yes it's a bit pricier than regular donuts but it's so hard to make them (and connect each dough balls to make them look like Mochi Nut donuts) I think it's worth the price for a special occasion.“

“Great little place. Super friendly owners. Cash only so come prepared. A dozen was another $16.96 each. a little girl came in for 2 doughnuts and tried handing owner cash...he brushed it away and told her...just get me next time. How sweet and charming to know your costumers and tell them to pay next time.
I will say they are a little tricky to find because they are attached to a taco shop. I suggest signage in planter box of parking lot showing an arrow?? Easy to miss the turn.“

“Classic donuts with a local shop atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and the donuts are excellent. They also have some convenient store items (chips, drinks, candy) and is family friendly. I recommend the fritters, red velvet glazed or red velvet donuts holes.“

“This was my first time stopping at Tasty Donuts. I had been craving a donut for weeks. I got an apple fritter and a glazed blueberry old fashioned. Like I said, I had been craving a donut - ONE. And I left with two. And I swiftly ate half of each, in my car, as I drove home.
To say they were delicious is a tremendous understatement. The apple fritter was moist, chewy, and the perfect amount of sweetness. So yummy! The blueberry old fashioned was moist and dense all at the same time, glazed just right - not too much, and not too sparse - and it was delicately sweetened, which was ideal.
One of the things I loved about both treats is the just right amount of sweetness. It wasn't overly sweet where one experiences cavities on the first bot, but it also was not bland. I nursed the remains for two days after. I kept them well wrapped to retain as much freshness as I could. And the total for both was only $3 and change! I was pleasantly surprised.
I will return. I don't eat donuts very often, but when the craving hits again, I will most assuredly revisit Tasty Donuts. I was quite pleased. Enjoy your visit... and heck, splurge on two. You're welcome. ♡“

“Honey Donuts is one of my favorite spots in San Diego. They may not serve the flashy, Instagram-worthy donuts you see at big-brand shops, but the quality here is consistently outstanding. Every donut is fresh, perfectly fluffy on the inside, and made with just the right touch and ingredients and you can’t go wrong.
I’ve even seen them making fresh batches as late as 10 p.m., which speaks volumes about their dedication. The woman at the front is incredibly kind, warm, and hardworking; always greeting you with a smile. You can tell this is a family-run shop built on pride and heart.
Honey Donuts isn’t just a donut shop, it’s a local gem that makes you feel welcome and valued every time you walk in.“

“I know it’s a chain but it feels like a welcoming little local spot. Prices are very reasonable which I feel is so rare these days, service is good and all the employees are friendly. We love coming here for bacon/sausage, egg, and cheese bagels/croissants and a few donuts.“

“The lady working here is so friendly and kind. She found a candle for me to stick into a donut to celebrate my birthday 🎂 and even took our photo. She was happy to talk to us about the shop and its history. I love places like this and will stop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. The apple and spice donut is incredible. Not overly sweet and filled with apples like a pie. I ended up buying 2 more after trying one. Absolute perfection. Thank you so much 🙏🏽“

“Roses donuts? Solid. Fluffy, not too greasy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The classics like glazed and chocolate frosted are spot-on, but the real gems are the seasonal specials—think lemon blueberry in spring or apple cider in fall. They also do a killer maple bacon donut that somehow works every time.
Aside from donuts, they’ve got a few dessert surprises up their sleeve—cream-filled eclairs, soft-baked cookies, and a rotating lineup of mini cakes that go way harder than they need to. Pair anything with their locally roasted coffee or a rich hot chocolate, and you’re golden.“

“I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Ideally it's best to wait for a fresh batch of donuts to come out and that's usually in the mornings. Great place for donuts when you have the urge. I go with the usual glazed donuts as those are their specialty.“

“Very busy little local donut shop here in 4S ranch. Everything is good here, everything is fresh, and everything tastes amazing. We were lucky enough to grab chocolate dipped donuts and honey curlers still hot from just being made. Grabbed a dozen bagels for the house as well. Will be back again.“

“Best donuts ever! Traditional donuts the way I had them as a child. Which was decades ago. Hard to find them this way anymore. I love the chocolate bar with the chocolate chips in the middle. No one makes this one and I have been to A LOT of donut shops.“
