“it was our first time being here, we ordered in person around 30 minutes before closing, and a lot of people had ordered ahead so we ended up waiting like 30 minutes for the food. It was well worth the wait though!! I got a regular carnitas torta and my boyfriend got the carne asada fajitas burrito and they were so delicious. The meat was so tender and everything tasted amazing altogether. I recommend ordering ahead for pickup; it’s very popular and deservingly so. The woman behind the counter was also so lovely and patient, highly recommend!!“

Atmosphere, a lot of the garbage from the east side looks like it's slowly started to creep over to quartz hill, really sad, thats what I saw here last time. “This place is great! Situated in a little strip mall, this little Mexican restaurant is worth trying. It's not very big, but make no mistake, it's not a fast food place, it's a sit down restaurant. It has very cool decor, clean and well kept. The food was delicious. Everyone in my party was super happy with their food. I ordered the fajitas... Delicious! Other parts were; carne asada plates - delicious! Came with two pretty good size steaks, chicken mole enchilada - delicious! The taquito plate and the fish plate, also delicious. It should also be noted that their portion size is really good. We all ended up taking some food home. Oh, big shout out to our server (wish I had gotten his name... Sorry) he was very attentive. He took the time to explain what the dishes came with, and what I really really appreciated was that he asked if any of the kids' orders needed to be modified because he knew sometimes kids don't like everything the plate comes with. This was perfect as my kids are a little picky. So big shout out to him!“

“First time going since it was Casita Lopez. Decorations and ambience are the same. I was hoping to meet the new owner, but he wasn't on shift today. The service was fast and polite, exactly what I would've expected in previous visits! The food is satisfyingly tasty, albeit not very authentic. The menu is essentially the same as before, but everything is prepared differently: ingredients, portions, etc. 5 stars, definitely recommend!“

“I grew up going to El Toreo in Palmdale from the late '90s through the early 2000s, and it's still the best Mexican food I've ever had. I spent 10 years in the Army and another 10 driving trucks, so I've been to just about every state and tried Mexican food everywhere. Arizona comes closest in second place, Colorado a distant third. Texas was horrible — it's Tex-Mex, and it sucks anyway. Even when you try straight Mexican there, it's bland and commercialized. Every street truck in the West is amazing and a whole different thing than restaurants. Anything on the East Coast is just an insult to the cuisine.
Outside Southern California it's all bland, overly cheesy Americanized versions that taste like they came from a chain, no real heat or fresh ingredients, burritos that are all tortilla and zero flavor. I've been back a few times in recent years, and El Toreo still holds the crown. Nothing else touches it.“

“We wanted some authentic tacos and we found them in this taco truck in the east side of Palmdale.
We ordered some Alpastor, suadero, lengua and asada, they all were very tasty, I found my pastor and suadero a little in the dryer side, but with that red spicy salsa, hasta los mocos se me salieron, so that made it for me, not to mention the agua de horchata, sweet and refreshing.
All that made a nice experience, so we will gladly visit again for more delicious tacos.

I asked if this shop was partnered with the Gonzales meat market a few doors away and they confirmed it. No wonder their meats are so fresh and tasty. Love this place.“

“Indoor dining is great. Medrano’s still hasn’t learned how to pack a go order. The soup lids are so flimsy that if you put more than one on top of the other one, the lid breaks and spills soup. Then, if the chips are packed in the soup bag, the bottom of the chip bag gets wet. When you try to get the chips out, the bottom of the bag rips and chips go all over the floor. This isn’t the first time this has happened. This will be the last time. The other place I eat wraps plastic around the whole soup container, so if the lid does break, the soup still stays in the holder.“

“I took my 97 year old grandma here as it's her favorite Mexican restaurant. Good was delicious and you get a very generous serving. I wish they had easier access. There is no ramp and the curb is really high, so it was quite a chore for my grandma to enter.

“This is the best churro truck in AV!! I tried it for the first time last week I believe and then tried the other churro truck here in the same week. Los primos churros blows them out of the park for me. They are so delicious and the owners are so nice and sweet.“

“The food is good, they actually condiment the meat. The service was good, they explained what the food contained, but they were a bit stingy with the salsa. The atmosphere was ok, it was hot and there was a lot of smoke. They just opened up so I'm assuming they still have to get the a/c situated and a vent for the smoke. I feel bad for the workers. I was ready to get out of there due to the heat.

(Update: they finally got the ac running. The adobada tortas are delicious and the molcan was crazy good. I've never tried anything like it. The only downside is that you leave smelling like smoke.)“
