Restaurantji presents Quartz Hill's standout Mexican dining destinations.
“This place is like a hidden gem. Everything I have eaten so far has been delicious. Their tacos are super tasty, and they are not skimpy on the toppings. You can literally save the asada that overflows your tacos to make en extra taco. My go-to has been their biggest burrito, which is super appetizing and filling. I have had a nice experience every time I've been there, from their quick and friendly service to the quality of food that they prepare. I'm a big fan of this place.“
“This is a nice place to enjoy lunch, dinner or a seat at the bar. The service is great as you are greeted and treated with a smile to ensure you are doing well at your table. They have a great list on the menu to choose from salads, burritos, combination plates, and plus their own specialties. We have a great time when we go and bring your appetite as they serve plenty on your dish.“
“Been coming here since 2014. Juan and staff very friendly and great food and service! Prices are fair and new comfortable booth seating. Long time cooks and staff. Friendly conversations with servers. A great place to spend time and enjoy good food and comrades. Never leave hungry good portions!“
“The Service and Food Delicious !!!! My Family and I Will Be Coming Back. We Normally Eat at The Medrano's in Palmdale, off Rancho Vista Blvd, We Eat There All The Time. Today Was Easter, I have family that's moving to Quartz's Hills, So We Decided To Eat Here and I Must Say That We Were Not Disappointed ‼ After Today We Are Going To Eat At All Of The Medrano's Restaurants In The Antelope Valley.“
“Delicious food and great service. I only tried this place because some evil demon cut me off at the El Pollo Loco drive thru. It proved to be a blessing because my sopes de asada were fantastic and fresh. The asada is quality asada, which is very rare to find. I will definitely go back.“
“Cozy place in the desert with wonderful staff and THE BEST Mexican food! It's a staple for the locals and I was happy to be able to join them.Chicken tamale was fantastic and the chile relleno was perfect, and we had a great time visiting with the staff and other patrons.I hope to go back while I'm here! The price per person was with several beers and a drink, all of which were tasty and ice cold!Kid-friendliness: Great kid's menu“
“We had a late lunch here, sopes for my wife and arroz con pollo for me, and they were outstanding! Muy sabroso! The service was also great. Then, there was the dessert, which we shared: the chimichanga de mazana encanelada, a cinnamon apple chimi with a side of fried ice cream - oh my goodness! Highly recommend this small, family run place.“
“Lively and lovely smells from the jump. Even the white meat is succulent. We got the whole chicken combo and loved every bite. Next time I am trying the ribs. Get the combos because the affordability is astounding ?Go and bring people that you love. You guys deserve it and So do APQR❤“
“My family and I had dinner here last night. I had the Chile relleno plate with rice and beans and it was excellent! The rice was flavorful and cooked perfect. The chips and salsa had a nice kick. Couldn't beat the prices either. Looking forward to going back again!“
“The food here was great and our server was there for everything we needed. I got the camarones Mexicanos and would absolutely recommend it. the number of options was astounding and the seasoning was great if I were to offer any improvements they would be paper take out containers(they offered aluminum in place of styrofoam out of kindness) I would update the playlist with a few more songs maybe play different songs“
“This is an honest review. Coming from a Mexican background, tamales were always a staple in our home. With that being said, I tried for lulus tamales for the first time today. I bought the mole and green chicken tamales. They were both pretty flavorful and very hefty tamales as well but the only thing I'd say is that the chicken was a little tough or dry . Aside from that, they were pretty good“
“BIG BOWL OF BIRRIAWent there today.... The food was very good... I just had one issue... They should really have a picture on the menu of the birria in a big giant bowl the way they actually serve it in the restaurant... I almost didn't buy any because their menu doesn't show the huge bowl of birria... The menu actually shows it in some kind of plastic container, which is a "no go" for me... So I almost left without buying it but my friend pressured me into buying it... And then it came... A big giant beautiful bowl of birria in a ceramic bowl... It was delicious... I recommend it to everyone... So if you don't see the big bowl in the restaurant menu.... Fear not coz it's big and delicious... I kinda wish I would of gotten the girl who works there's name coz I kinda was rude to her because not seeing the bowl kinda made me mad... I wish I would of apologized to her... I hope she reads this review and accepts my apology... I was in a hurry to leave and didn't tell her directly... I'll do it next time I go coz the food was definitely very good and I'll be going back...“
“We visited for dinner on Wednesday with a party of four and it was a very good experience. This place looks pretty rough from the outside, and a bit ratty on the inside, but it is well worth your time. We were greeted and told to seat ourselves, which we did in a nice booth. The very gracious waiter (possibly an owner) stopped by, took our drink orders, and was nice enough to provide separate checks. The draft beers are served in large glass goblets, ice cold. The chips were warm and obviously home made. We went with a Combo Plate, a Burrito, Tacos, and Camerones al la Diabla, which had a nice spicy kick. All the portions were large and the meals were fresh and well prepared. The service was outstanding. The waiter was friendly, prompt, and professional. Overall, an outstanding hidden gem in Palmdale to get great Mexican fare.“
“Me and my dad always drive thru Palmdale from a long day at Cedar Sinai, I'm trying to get him a lung transplant. But this is our favorite place to eat. Everything is so tasty, and the quality of ingredients is clean.. when I get a pork tamale, I don't run into a fat chunk. It's always lean, tender pork. Bomb. And to be honest, you can usually tell if a Mexican restaurant is good by the chips and salsa and their chips and salsa are so good.. do not be misled by other restaurants with the same name almost, L10 is the place to go.“
“This our go to Mexican restaurant. The food is always top notch and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It has recently undergone a change in management and the new operator, Louis, has made significant changes in multiple areas. The menu has been updated, all for the better I might add. The general dining room has been updated and even the restrooms have received new fixtures. All in all it is nice friendly, kind of laid back, family dining destination. Well worth the little extra drive.“
“The food was sooo fire and mouth watering. I was in heaven. I took a bite and my eyes instantly rolled in the back of my head! That hot ? sauce was lit. In a literal way but in a good way. I would definitely eat here again. The food literally was melting in my mouth. Especially with the creamy sauce they added on the shrimp ?? just delicious“
“They catered for a luncheon I went to today. We were served chicken fajitas with bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes, also rice, beans, cheese flutas, tortilla chips with a green and red salsas. The food tasted really good, authentic, light (not oily), and most importantly fresh. Their in-house made salsas was addicting, and it all just mixed well together. I'll need to stop by the restaurant some time soon, because I want more! Thank you for the delicious food!“
“We hired La Ramadita to cater my son's 1st birthday and they were a hit with our guests! The food was so delicious and great quality! The service was great! They were on time, friendly, and professional. We're thinking of another reason to hire them again soon because the food was that good. They made our party a hit! Thank you La Ramadita!“
“Greeting and service is good. Waitress needs to be more attentive. Food is hmmmgood excellent cook. Location is great and area is good and they been there for a good while which is good Parking is great. It's clean but can use a little more bright lighting.“
“Service is on point! It's a small setting which makes it feel like your at a family members house. The waiter and cook know what they are doing when it comes down to the food and especially the drinks. They creep up on you, in a good way. Price is a bit on the high side when it comes to drink but well worth it. I would return and I would recommend.“
“This place is awesome. Staff were super friendly, and the food was fantastic. I got the breakfast burger--eggs, bacon, grilled onions, and fresh jalapeños IN ADDITION to the classic burger fixings....super filling and delicious. Coffee wasn't bad either. Will definitely go again next time I swing through town.“
“This place is 20/10 customer service is phenomenal! I ordered a burrito steak (Carne Asada ) with everything. I got my order in standard timing . When I got to my car to eat it the first bite I knew this was authentic!! I came back to buy another one same way for my brother and he called his son and told them about the burrito and I went back in for a 3rd burrito! This place is it ok !! Must try . I'm from Chicago Illinois and we are big on food quality . You can tell that steak was authentic! I will be back again trust and believe.... the guy at the register was phenomenal thank you for your service sir.!! And to the cooks thank you for putting up with me and making my burrito to perfection as I was continuously coming back ????????!!! Thank you to all 3 staff that was on duty this was an amazing experience! $11 for burrito with cheese“
“The service is great, the food is excellent, you will not be disappointed, this is a must to go, when you want fabulous Mexican cuisineVegetarian options: All meals are made to your wants and needsDietary restrictions: Your food is made to order, with or without meat.Parking: Plenty of spacesKid-friendliness: They do have a kids meal, also made to orderWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and setting“
“Pick a good times to be there because they don't seem busy. And when I order, it seems like they bring the food before I even get seated. It is always hot, it is always good, and the service is exemplary! I like the light coming into the restaurant with south facing windows. The place is uncluttered and always clean. Did I say how wonderful the food is and how wonderful the employees are? It is true!“
“Family owned and run this is the best small Mexican food place in Lancaster. They have the best burria red tacos and homemade menudo around. It's close to shopping and downtown so the location is great for quick meal lunch or dinner in a hurry def a winner!“
“It was great. Was one of the best, very very best burrito in over 15 years. Meaty, juicey and absolutely fabulous. I will be returning to eat there again and very soon. 8inches,long, and the size of a king grapefruit. But absolutely delicious. With great quality and excellent taste and my serious serious compliments.Parking: Plenty of roomKid-friendliness: Spanish and English and proper languageWheelchair accessibility: Double doors.“
“Wow that's all I can say I try multiple ? tacos great quality if you like different meats I do there tripas Mmm delicious well done an grispy tortillas a mano and there Mix tostadas the best, an I have been to multiple returants out here this one is my go to..“
“This is their new location. They used to be on 20th West near Pep Boys. This space is much bigger and nicer. Looks great. We ordered a Beef Ranchero Burrito and Cameron's enchiladas. Both dishes came with rice and beans. The service was very good and friendly. My husband loves the enchiladas. I like things a bit more flavorful and spicy.“
“I had the pozole and the carnitas tacos. The pozole was delicious they gave me big chunks of meat and enough hominy in 32 ounce Styrofoam cups. I would get them again, I think the carnitas needed some more fat. And they didn't give me any sauce so make sure to ask.“
“There for a bday ?Seated @the bar section rather than dining sectionThe staff is fabulousThe food was good (not a sea food kinda person tho)I'd be careful in the parking lot for sure ~there's suspicious activity abound...park @ur own risk☑️“
“Best breakfast burrito ? in a long time.Cooked perfectly.Plenty of everything in it. They are not skimpy. Fresh, hot and tasty ?!Chili quills look amazing. Next time.$12,12 for the burrito out the door price.Definitely worth a return visit.Staff was very attentive and friendly.“
“Absolutely love this place. I come here with my grandmother on nights when my dad has no time to feed me. The food is amazing. I always order the same thing, and I'll never get bored of it! We sometimes eat in, but mostly we get takeout and it never disappoints for either option.Food is amazing, the workers are absolute sweethearts, and the restaurant is so nicely decorated. It's a cute little restaurant that is perfect for late night dinners after a long day. Incredibly underrated. I love this place.“
“It was my first time here and I was on the move so i took it to go. Although I didn't dine in, I could could still feel the good energy in the building. My food was great, and prepared well and in good timing. I will be returning soon.“
“The food is great but the biggest issue with this place is that they take forever! Please order your food 30-40min before going to eat or you will be waiting forever. Made a phone order but they thought it was a prank so I had to wait the 40min there once“
“Larissa was incredible!!! Ordered food to go and not only was it cooked to perfection but everything was correct on the order and tasted absolutely delicious!!!! This is now our only choice for authentic Mexican food in the Antelope Valley!!! Price was super affordable and so low for everything we got!!!! AMAZING experience!!! And Larissa was such a sweetheart and carried our food order out to our car!!!! I would give Sammy's and their staff a million stars!!!“
“Stopped by on a trip out to Mojave and picked something quick with convenience on and off the freeway and so glad we ended up here! The food was very solid, I get the same thing at every mexican food restaurant (chicken burrito with only beans, rice, and cheese) and the standout element of my usual chicken burrito at this particular establishment was the chicken. Great structure, well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and properly proportioned/distributed throughout the burrito. What really put tacos el superior over the top, however, was the excellent demeanor and customer service provided by Luis who took our order with the biggest smile on his face and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal. One other stand-out item at this establishment was the green sauce. Also they have delicious french fries which are great to dip in the birria compote. Highly recommend stopping by tacos el superior“
“I love this place for an unplanned on the fly meal. Choose to dine in and enjoy the atmosphere. The faces behind the counter stay mostly the same so it gives you a more personal experience. Good people here. Food isn't the usual franchise terrible duplicate like the golden “
“Good and fast service. The food was great with a lot of flavor. Would highly recommend others to give it a try, I will definitely be returning. The prices are great as well! Especially compared to other similar restaurants I have tried before.“
“Sergio was our bartender and he made a great Cadillac Margarita. I ordered the shredded chicken taco and my wife ordered a bean and cheese burrito. Both were fabulous! We love El Toreo. We've been eating at El Toreo West for decades now. This was THE place to eat Mexican food in the AV for years. I remember when 10th St. West was the edge of town and we would have done here with my Aunt and Uncle. Can't wait to eat here again soon!“
“A friend of mine recommended ND's, a spot inside the Chevron, and honestly, I was pretty skeptical at first. A gas station eatery doesn't typically scream quality, right? But this place was good!I tried the turkey sandwich; it made me pause after the first bite and go, 'Okay, this is legit.' Prices are fair, especially considering the portion sizes, which are generous without being over-the-top.I thought maybe my first great experience was luck, so I decided to give ND's another shot. And the food was consistently good the second time around.Don't let the gas station setting fool you. This isn't your average quick-stop food. It's clear they put effort into their food.“
“This place is great! We came here for an early dinner, and everything was awesome! The staff is friendly and welcoming and the food is fresh and tasty. You can tell it's authentic, not like "El Torrito," which is next door. The drinks are also strong and not watered down. We'll definitely be back!“
“(01/02/2024 about 2:15pm)Always good food and good service, clean counters, booths and tables. A pleasant atmosphere and pleasant music....and most of all clean and well stocked restrooms.Parking: Plenty of parking and a few handicap parking spots.Wheelchair accessibility: A few handicap parking spots and wheelchair accessible (parking and restaurant).“
“We ordered a regular and a tamarindo margaritas. They were a jumbo size and very refreshing. The meat molcajete was very delicious. The meat, chicken and shrimp were very tender and fresh. It also came with nopales, cebollinos, queso fresco, guac and beans - tortillas. The place was nice and clean, looks more like sports bar with plenty TVs but it was not loud. The server was very pleasant and courteous.“
“We just enjoyed a great meal at La Gema Del Sabor. We just stumbled upon this place and we are so glad we did. Our food was excellent and the portions were generous which we truly appreciate. I highly recommend the pupusas, particularly the birria and the calebasa con queso. My husband ordered the carne asada fries and they were the best we have had. The meat was very flavorful. The service was so friendly and kind. The music playing was beautiful and encouraging. The food will take a while because it is prepared fresh. We didn't mind that at all and we will definitely be back soon.“
“Ok, para empezar, casi no ay lugares buenos en el AV que tengan buena birria. La Korita tiene un sazón muy rico. I know people from all backgrounds that have had a meal from here and have gotten hooked! I also love how clean they are. Son paisanos y todo pero su comida habla por si solo. Si viven aquí o vienen de pasada, try them!“
“We had a fantastic experience booking Churros Los Primo's to cater our tv production. They served over 100 people and were super easy to work with and the food was fantastic (best funnel cake I've ever had!) we would definitely book them again!“
“I happened to go here one day looking to grab some tacos and noticed they had buche on the menu. I ended up having a buche burrito and it was delicious! I asked if this shop was partnered with the Gonzales meat market a few doors away and they confirmed it. No wonder their meats are so fresh and tasty. Love this place.“
“Had a couple of tacos (chicken and carnitas) for lunch, which included rice and beans. After ordering, I was served freshly made tortilla chips with 2 different salsas, salsa roja and salsa verde. All of it was amazing. The sauces had a good spice to them. These were the best tacos, rice and beans I have ever had. Everything was so tasty but very light at the same time. It wasn't overly seasoned but was delicious and flavorful. The atmosphere is fairly basic, but that is part of the charm. This isn't your regional/national chain mexican restaurant. They have bright, vibrant colors on the walls. I would call this a "whole in the wall" place, and it was totally worth it. I would absolutely go here again!“
“Love the food here plus it's close to my house and they usually stay open pretty late which is a good thing for people who want actual tacos not the ones at jack or taco bell and they have really good prices and options if you want something other than tacos“
“Firstly, this is not a "Mexican food trucks" spot. They have trucks of all kinds. I have seen this spot go from like 5 trucks to about 15. Parking can be tough but not unbearable or even bad. If the dirt area fills up, plenty of parking on the street. The trucks are so great. Soooooo many great options and I am so proud of our valley for having such amazing trucks. My favorites are Top of Mis Papas, Barrios, Churros Los Primos, and Tony B's. There was also a teriyaki truck that was GREAT. Can't wait to try more, especially teh dessert trucks.“
