“One of our favorite places for breakfast, brunch or lunch depending on how late in the day we get there! Everything tastes homemade and like I'm sitting in the kitchen with my madrina and abuelita. Their 2 tamale combo plate is a great bargain. Today my daughter had that, hubby got the Chile Verde plate and I got the Chile Verde burrito, wet. They often bring complimentary chips and salsa to the table too! If you're looking for classic Mexican comfort food, this cozy little place tucked away in a strip mall will hit the spot.“

“They have truck parking. Very friendly for truckers. The owners are extremely thoughtful. I had a plate of birra with rice and beans. Easily one of the best I've had in a good minute. The salsa is also great. Didn't get a chance to try to hot salsa though.“

“I grew up going to El Toreo in Palmdale from the late '90s through the early 2000s, and it's still the best Mexican food I've ever had. I spent 10 years in the Army and another 10 driving trucks, so I've been to just about every state and tried Mexican food everywhere. Arizona comes closest in second place, Colorado a distant third. Texas was horrible — it's Tex-Mex, and it sucks anyway. Even when you try straight Mexican there, it's bland and commercialized. Every street truck in the West is amazing and a whole different thing than restaurants. Anything on the East Coast is just an insult to the cuisine.
Outside Southern California it's all bland, overly cheesy Americanized versions that taste like they came from a chain, no real heat or fresh ingredients, burritos that are all tortilla and zero flavor. I've been back a few times in recent years, and El Toreo still holds the crown. Nothing else touches it.“

“We wanted some authentic tacos and we found them in this taco truck in the east side of Palmdale.
We ordered some Alpastor, suadero, lengua and asada, they all were very tasty, I found my pastor and suadero a little in the dryer side, but with that red spicy salsa, hasta los mocos se me salieron, so that made it for me, not to mention the agua de horchata, sweet and refreshing.
All that made a nice experience, so we will gladly visit again for more delicious tacos.

“Indoor dining is great. Medrano’s still hasn’t learned how to pack a go order. The soup lids are so flimsy that if you put more than one on top of the other one, the lid breaks and spills soup. Then, if the chips are packed in the soup bag, the bottom of the chip bag gets wet. When you try to get the chips out, the bottom of the bag rips and chips go all over the floor. This isn’t the first time this has happened. This will be the last time. The other place I eat wraps plastic around the whole soup container, so if the lid does break, the soup still stays in the holder.“

We'll I decided to get a better quality meat at the Gozalez meat market and quickly learned this food spot is owned by them. I came with my teen daugther lunch and we both enjoyed the food, friendly service and enjoyed the music. Definitely will be our spot out here! The only downfall is that there is no bathroom.“

“Wow!!! This food was AMAZING and AUTHENTIC!!! I had the birria taco with guacamole!!!! Amazing homemade tortillas with slow cooked roasted beef …. It was actually super healthy! I loved it!!! This is a place you can eat at, but it’s a little small and dark inside. But, You can eat outside too.

I usually take it to go! The food is soooo good and the price is very inexpensive!!! Go and experience tasty Mexican food.

“The food is good, they actually condiment the meat. The service was good, they explained what the food contained, but they were a bit stingy with the salsa. The atmosphere was ok, it was hot and there was a lot of smoke. They just opened up so I'm assuming they still have to get the a/c situated and a vent for the smoke. I feel bad for the workers. I was ready to get out of there due to the heat.

(Update: they finally got the ac running. The adobada tortas are delicious and the molcan was crazy good. I've never tried anything like it. The only downside is that you leave smelling like smoke.)“

The price, I don't know what the prices were because there's no prices listed which was an issue for me. I ordered four steak burritos with everything on them, 1 order of steak fries and the barria taco combo, it was 94.00, I'd like to know how much things cost and not just get told what the final price is.
There was plenty of parking in the parking lot next to where the truck is parked.The customer service could have been better. I felt like an inconvenience more than a paying customer. My food was delicious.I had a burrito with everything on it steak because they don't sell chicken only steak. The barria taco combo which is what I ordered for my grandson came dissected, so it was the beans, rice and steak in the container and the tortillas in foil. Everything stayed hot until we got home. Which was great. My grandson likes the taco already prepared; So he can just dip it into the sauce, he said it was delicious, But he didn't have the experience of dipping the tacos, because he didn't want to put them together, and also, he didn't like the sauce, so next time I will not get that item for him at that particular truck. My granddaughter ordered fries. Which came with steak, cheese, beans and some other toppings. She loved it. She said it was delicious and a lot of food.So she was able to save some for the next day. “I had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. Tortillas were fresh, chicken was flavorful and tender, sauce was spicy. Rice was fluffy and seasoned well, but the beans were bland. My better half had the bistec ranchero. Her meat was juicy and tender, sauce was delicious. Service was friendly. Food took a little while to come out because it was actually being cooked instead microwaved - that’s a good thing. We will definitely be back!“
