“So far, I have tried the following gimbap, spicy pork, beef bulgogi, and the seoul 1979. Didn't like the seuol one - not enough ham it so you cant really taste it. The beef bulgogi is good, but I loved the spicy pork one. Good flavor and has a little kick to it. I also tried the korean corn dog, and it was ok. I didn't like the sausage inside. Service is friendly. They have a lot of different items to try so definitely will be back.

Update: Went back again and I finally tried a different dish which as the chicken kansu curry which was so good. Chicken was super crispy and not dry. Comes with a side of curry, cabbage and rice. All.of ot was yummy!”

For our entrée: *8oz lobster tail, baked potato and green beans *Surf and Turf, which included prime rib, king crab leg, baked potato and green beans. We ended our meal having cheesecake with raspberry sauce and creme brulee. Our sever was attentive and polite. He went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasure. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. We will definitely be back...highly recommend!”

The White Sauce Pizza was rich and creamy without being too heavy—each bite was packed with flavor. And the Baingan Bharta? Easily one of the best I’ve had, with that deep, roasted eggplant flavor coming through beautifully. On top of the great food, the service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re in the area. Will be back for sure!”

I put the order in online and Allen (The Owner) Called me to tell me that getting the food delivered the day before might leave guests with a less than stellar view of his business. He made me PROMISE to do certain things with the sandwiches to ensure everyone had a delicious meal. We ordered over 30 sandwiches which were GONE within the first hour of the event. I was so thrilled with the service, care for his business, and the delivery right on time. Thank you Pocket Deli!”

“I don't understand anyone saying the food is bland. I've been going here for approximately 25 years and it's amazing how consistent the food has been over that long period of time. Everything I've tried has been very flavorful and delicious and well-seasoned, and again, CONSISTENT.

There's only so much you can do with Spanish rice and refried beans, so those are never going to wow anyone, but they have as much flavor as you can expect without totally changing them. Their salsa is delicious and consistent and well-seasoned. I like that it is blended well and not super chunky.

They do not have, nor ever had hard liquor, so the margaritas are wine margaritas. You can't judge them against real margaritas, so you have to appreciate them for what they are. That's why I normally just enjoy a couple bottles of Corona with my meal.

Someone else complained about their prices, but compared to other Mexican food places, and taking portion sizes into consideration, their prices are actually quite reasonable. Their prices are so reasonable that I don't even mind ordering from Doordash sometimes.”

“Von’s Chicken in Rancho Cordova is such a great find! The chicken is always hot, crispy, and full of flavor — you can really taste the quality and freshness. The Soy Garlic and Original Crispy are my go-tos, but the Hot & Spicy hits the spot when you want a little extra kick. Don’t skip the baked chicken as it’s perfect if you want something lighter but still packing tons of flavor.

The sides and starters are just as good — especially the cheeseballs and sodduck sodduck. Portions are generous, and even the takeout stays crunchy and delicious.

The staff here are super friendly and attentive — they take the time to explain the different sauces and flavors, and it’s clear they care about their customers having a great experience.

Overall, Von’s Chicken is consistently excellent — fresh, flavorful, and served with genuine hospitality. Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots in Rancho Cordova!”

They have a wide selection of matcha drinks and fruit drinks. The quality of the boba was surprisingly good. They are known for the fruit/matcha combo drink selections.

I unwisely chose a matcha jasmine tea drink, and it was a bit underwhelming. Again, the boba was good- but the matcha wasn't. Maybe I should have chosen the recommended mango matcha...

Also the sweet level is on the low side- I usually go for 25%, but I recommend 50% or 75%. Anyways, not a bad place if you really need the midday boost. Enjoy!”

I want to note that we recently ordered a chocolate shake (8/15/25 @ 10:30ish PM) that was absolutely disgusting and WAY TOO MUCH chocolate syrup was added. This must be addressed immediately by reducing at least half of the chocolate amount. I remember ordering these shakes years ago that were very light chocolate in color, delicious and now it looks like iced coffee. To the owner, please have your staff prepare this shake for you and try it. I guarantee you will taste it, immediately think it's way too much chocolate syrup, and gross. Hoping the next time we order one, it won't be so gross with too much syrup!”

“Came here like around a month ago and here is my honest experience
Service: The wait times are really long. At the start, I would get my food in around 5-10mins, but then as we ordered more and more food, the wait times get really long. They also forgot to bring our orders in several occasions like I would order sashimi and also a certain roll as well. I understand that they might be forgot one or more things, but at the same time, this happened several times as well. I think the worse part was that the server limited just our table to the amount of sashimi in a AYCE restaurant. I was shocked to see that happening and I was disappointed that they would do that to us.
Food: the food was pretty good and that’s the only thing that I would come for. The presentation of the food is pretty good and there’s several options to choose from
Atmosphere: Pretty small, but not too bad

Overall, I would like to see a change in their customer service since it looks like it feels disorganized. I will change the rating if there are some changes.

I have tried their beef curry over rice and the BBQ Fried Rice. Both were a hit and would order it again and again. They have this matcha latte drink as well that my wife enjoyed and she is picky about her matcha.

“As someone who loves sugarcane juice and is pretty much addicted to pandan waffles, I love Mamma Mia.

Their sugarcane juice is so refreshing, fragrant, and delicious; I usually get #3 - juice w/ calamansi, although I've tried the #2 - just sugarcane juice, and it's delicious, as well. I've given a few to my parents, who love it, too. (My mom, who drank it as a child growing up in Vietnam, praised Mamma Mia for the quality of their sugarcane juice.)

As for their pandan waffles - I've had a lot from bakeries in Orange County's 'Little Saigon,' and Mamma Mia's are my favorite. They're delicious, lightly sweet and fragrant, perfect texture (slightly chewy and soft), and just so good.

The staff here are so kind, helpful, and welcoming.

I definitely recommend coming here for sugarcane juice and pandan waffles! (I'm sure their coffee is good, too, though I have yet to try.)”
