“This place feels seedy from the outside and dated and unwelcoming when you step in. Don’t let that fool or stop you. Once you’re in and seated you realize most everyone is a regular, and the staff is warm and welcoming. And the food is seriously stellar. I had the Bullet (their original recipe since 1954), my girlfriend the Huevos Rancheros. You can taste the time and care that goes into making everything from scratch. I don’t usually go places more than once but look forward to becoming a regular here and trying more on the menu.“

“I work around the plaza so this is my go-to place to order from. Every time I have a full shift, I just order on the app, set a time to pick it up and my food is ready to go when I get there. The food is delicious and I always get the correct order, there have been no mishaps. The employees are really nice, I love the environment, personally it's the best place to eat from. My favorite meals are the Southwest Chicken Sandwich and the Southwest Chicken Wrap, I love the crunchiness of the tortilla strips and they are so tasty!“

“This restaurant should be received as a welcome addition to Westwood. I understand it's been here just shy of three years, but this was the first time for me. I started with a cocktail: the Robert, named for a regular who had his share of Sidecars there. After a Caesar salad, I tried their cacio e pepe. It was well prepared, al dente and clearly fresh pasta. Their draft beer selection was surprisingly well curated, too. I appreciate the friendly and thoughtful service, something increasingly rare. “I didn’t rate the food, because I usually visit this place for their selections of bordeoux, I need to dine in soon. As a beehive member they do serve Sir Davis here and uncles nearest!! Granted I have it at my place, but I will return to enjoy some Davis in my bones.

The team was amazing, welcoming. Stephanie assisted with my wine purchases and wrapped them absolutely beautiful! My heart was smiling when I saw that Davis on the shelf , whoever is reading this review knows exactly where I’m coming from!

The ambiance was perfect for the occasion, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. While I gave the value a good rating instead of excellent due to the limited menu selections and higher prices for the holiday, the quality of the food and service made it worthwhile. The noise level was moderate, which is understandable given the festive occasion. One area that could use improvement is the parking situation. The tent still erected in the street since COVID blocks numerous parking spaces, making it difficult for patrons with mobility issues. I addressed this to the staff and was puzzled to learn they actually want to make this permanent! No one uses this outdoor area, and it's filled with a disarray of items making it look unsightly for such a historical restaurant. Despite this, I highly recommend Valley Inn and Martini Bar for a special night out. The food, service, and ambiance are top-notch, and it's a great place to celebrate any occasion.“

Jim had the turkey meatloaf, which he swears by, and I totally get why. Everything came out fresh, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. “Mariposa is a great go to restaurant. The service and ambience are excellent, and the food is very good. If you need a convenient and upscale lunch spot in Beverly Hills, this is it. It is one of the few places with guaranteed parking at no cost as opposed to the stress of finding parking in the triangle.“

“My wife took me here to celebrate my birthday because I wanted to come here. I haven't been to this BOA location in like 10 years so it was long overdue. My wife made reservations and put we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived to the place, we did the valet parking in front of the restaurant. It's credit card only with the valet so be aware of that. We then walked into the restrauant and checked in, they took us to our table right away. The inside of the restrauant is very nice, exclusive and feel like a luxury place. When we got seated our waiter Abbey came to greet us and told us about their special today. She took our drinks order which was just soda with free refills because I asked since at another place they didn't tell me it wasn't free refills. We already knew what we wanted so when she came back with our drinks, we put in our order. My wife got the Chilean Sea Bass because she was deciding between that or the Linguine with Clams but Abbey said the Sea Bass was a better choice. I went with the Filet center cut at medium with the peppercorn sauce since you get 1 free sauce. We also got regular fries and original Mac & cheese. Our entree came out first and then they brought out the sides after. My filet mignon was delicious, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The peppercorn sauce was good as well but I like my filet more without it. My wife totally loved her Sea Bass, just wish it was a bigger portion because it was delicious. My fries was great as well because I'm more of a French fries person and my wife enjoyed her Mac & cheese. All of the employees here are amazing, they will keep an eye on your table and if there any mess or finished plates then they'll come take care of it. The owner stopped by and ask us about our experience to which we told him we were having an amazing time. We ended the night with a carrot cake that Abbey brought out to us and it was good as well since I never had a carrot cake. I would recommend coming here if you want to try a great steakhouse. We didn't have any issues with the valet and I checked my car hidden dashcam where it records the inside of the car to which the valet driver was respectful since I saw other reviews with bad experiences. They also charge a labor subcharge here so be aware but it's not too bad.
