There was a mistake in my order this evening (I only got one of the items) and when I called her back, it was a very polite conversation. My thing is, if you're gonna be an ass because of food that you'll eat within the hour, you're only making yourself look bad. Not only do you make someone feel like crap over FOOD, but in the end, it's not worth it, especially when everyone is entitled to make mistakes. And not only did she make me a fantastic burrito herself, but she ALSO threw in an extra soda and a crepe, delivered to me by her son. AMAZING family! I highly recommend this restaurant. “EXACTLY what I was looking for for breakfast! Feta, spinach, and mushroom omelet, with a fresh made blueberry scone. All were delicious! Husband had a chicken apple sausage breakfast pita with a piece of baklava, and it was all fantastic too. Service was great. Would absolutely eat here again!“

“The food was good, but there was a significant delay with my Snackpass pickup. My order number was incorrectly labeled, causing the food to sit on the counter for over 20 minutes until I spoke up about not receiving my food three separate times. No compensation, just an apology.

“I’m moving out of town and this is what I will miss most. They have done a major overhaul of all their offerings over the last year and this is a major to go hub for all types of food in the area. I’m so glad to live across the street. The Smashburger and banana pie are to die.

“Drove up from San Jose to meet with out of state family and this was recommended. Beautiful atmosphere, fantastic service, and decent pricing. Many great, delicious choices and all with good size portions.
You can eat outdoors or inside comfortably.
Other restaurant owners should send a couple of spies over to observe and understand why a great and friendly restaurant such as Zut! Is always busy with happy customers.
Parking can be an issue on weekends due to that Berkeley area being so popular, but
go for it.“

“Fantastic restaurant with a world class view! I had the Mediterranean appetizer (hummus etc.) and the steak. Both were delicious. Seated at the window with a nice view of the Embarcadero and Ferry Building. Wine was great. Service was perfect. The Hyatt next door has a bridge connecting to the restaurant entrance.“

“My guest and I loved the experience with our server, he was super helpful when we asked questions and was able to help us decide what to eventually get. (We can not even begin to spell his name but he had longish dark hair, very kind) We had an excellent time and the food did not disappoint... seriously the best octopus I've had in the city. I am from the east coast and Trout is served all over, it was such a treat to see it on a menu here. It was delicious, I will definitely show my east coast friends your place! I’m sad the fact the only picture I took I shared to my Instagram stories and don’t have a picture of my plate. But I had the beef kabob plate with, rice, salad, naan, and hummus. The beef was very tasty and tender. The rice was perfectly cooked and salad was fresh and crispy. My wife had the chicken kabob plate, which came with rice, salad, naan, hummus. The food portions were great and the price is amazing, and the staff is really friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere to enjoy lunch. “We ordered the house combo and it was very tasty. It came with 4 meats(chicken,beef,gyro ,koftedes). All of the meat was juicy,tender and well seasoned. The rice. was fluffy ans delicious. The mixed green salad had tomatoes amd cucumber and was topped with a pickled cabbage and dressed to perfection. I only had a small bite of the pita because rhe meal was so filling. I can't wait to try the baklava we ordered. What a great find. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant.“

“I don't remember how many times i've been here lol. Whenever I was too lazy to prepare lunch for myself, I usually bought gyro in this place and then went back to my lab/class. The price is affordable for Berkeley Standard (i remember it was around 12 usd before tax).

This place was also in UC berkeley north gate before, so it was close to my building. Then the one in north gate was closed. However I didn't mind to go back and forth from my lab to this place in southgate, my lazy ass didn't mind to go downhill then uphill lol.
And yeah, this place also offers halal food, so that's a plus“

“Falafel corner is a great little spot yo get a good bite to eat for a good price. They always walk around during the farmers-market on Sunday with samples. “Was is town visiting family & tried this great new place for post Thanksgiving breakfast. It was super! Order at the counter was quick & easy. Had a very nice flat white & blueberry muffin to start. Followed by squash shakshuka that was excellent. Talked to owner Jenny and she said food is sourced locally & they use in season produce, thus squash instead of the traditional tomato for the Shaksuka, that was served in a hot, small cast iron skillet made for fun presentation that kept the dish warm as I went back & forth from my coffee & muffin. Jenny does the baking & the muffin top was sweet with a tasty crust and the blueberries big & delicious. Behind the counter is an open kitchen where we could Benji (co-owner & spouse) hard at work. Interior is clean with ample breakfast seating, great for families, singles & couples. Art work from local artists featured on the walls, as well a unique LED clock. Was tempted to sit in cute outdoor courtyard but the morning chill kept us inside. Fast, friendly & attentive staff. Muffin was so good that I got a chocolate chunk cookie for the road & wish that I had bought several, so buttery good, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside with the right balance of chocolate chunks. You may need to search a little harder for Ukbar but it is definitely worth a trip & will be on my list for lunch when I’m back in town.“

“Total hidden gem in SF. It’s low key and does take out only, but don’t let that fool you, this place rivals SF’s finest establishments. I moved in a few blocks down the street and have been ordering take out almost every day as I unpack. I’ve tried the chicken hummus plate, meatball and rice plate, and the Beyran Soup. Literally each dish was 5/5 amazing. The soup was the best soup I’ve ever had in my life. Super rich flavor, but not overly salty. Just right.
