“The Peking duck was fabulous and juicy! We got a half, which we were surprised how little it was. We should have had a full. You have to reserve the duck before you get there.
We had a meat roll I think it was. It was amazing! My friends mom doesn’t like spicy so we got this roll. Highly recommend! Lots of veggies and excellent sauce!“

“A pure delight. Terrific homemade food that is fresh and filling. I love the rockfish sandwich, which I order open-faced next to a seasonal salad and a fat slice of cake. The coffee is strong and they also serve beer and wine. I can’t wait to try a warm plate, there is schnitzel, kugel, pasta … A little piece of me died when Gaumenkitzel closed, but my heart is healing at Anja’s.“

“I ordered the chicken noodle and tomato soup to be delivered. The soup was very good, but the bread was NOT sour dough as expected, it was a cut in half hoagie roll...yuk! This was a HUGE disappointment as I only eat sourdough or dark rye bread. Esp in the bay area where Sourdough is the go to. You need to serve what you say you have. This kind of stuff drives me crazy. It is as if the customer is not going to know...not good!“

“So glad I tried this place out. It was similar to Shangrila Buddhist Cafe in Albany except I couldn’t get oil-free or salt-free. I ordered the sauces on the side and ate. Soup. Medium plate w/salad, collards, garbanzo beans, sweet and regular potatoes and a “rice burger.” Dessert was chocolate pie. Yummy. Great service. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-18“

“I real hole in the wall. No big sign so you have to know.
The best jianbing I've had outside of China. Crispy and not too salty. My wife said it's authentic Tianjin style.
The soy milk was amazing! Very smooth and slightly sweet even though it wasn't sweetened. No burnt taste.
Alas, he was out of tea eggs.
Friendly.“

“This is a pretty cool upscale Korean barbecue place. The service is good. The food is pretty good, meat quality is on point and portions are generous. It’s is it to Park and drinks are pretty good and authentic as well. This would be one of my top pics for a Korean barbecue in Oakland.“

“One of the best Korean Restaurant in town. I ate with my 2 friends, and we ordered the Rose Galbi Jim. I really liked the spices and the soup of the galbi, blended really well with the mozzarella cheese. Moreover, the texture of the tteokbokki was so soft and tasty. At the same time, the portion of the Galbi was so big, we couldn’t finish it so we took some back home.
the other best part was that you could refill the banchan. Would recommend you to ask more for the tofu and kimchi, really mouthwatering. the waiter and waitress were kind and friendly, they served you fast.
we visited the restaurant quite late in the afternoon, so we didn’t need to queue since there were plenty tables. the parking area was big too.“

“We held a celebration of life memorial for my mother-in-law at Vibe. The feedback from the attendees was across the board raves for the food, service, and space.
During both the pre-planning process and the event itself, Free and her staff were friendly, responsive, flexible, and just enjoyable to be around. You could say they give off good vibes. :-) We highly recommend Vibe Bistro!“
