The experience from start to finish was great. They were so friendly when I picked up my order. There was a little birthday message on the box. Such a nice detail. “Easily the closest example of a french bakery/Patisserie since I moved to the US from Burgundy in 2015. I had the pleasure of France’s best baker/pastry chef being my local, in Dijon. These pastries at Sarmentine are very close. The almond-pear tartelette is my current go-to, and the macarons are sublime!“

“I had the most wonderful time at Mad Batter! I came in for a last minute large order of desserts for a potluck I was going to and they helped me out so fast!! They recommended things to me based on like budget, taste, what would be most shareable, all the things!! Everyone there was soooo sweet AND they even walked me out to my car with an umbrella because it was pouring rain 😭🩷 Love this place you need to check them out! I wish I had photos, the desserts got DEVOURED because of how good they were. But I got the brownies, ms. Dollies, keylime and lemon squares!!! And then they gave me a peppermint cookie on the house which was just the icing on the cake🥲🥲🥲 They’re seriously awesome people!“

“Our daughter who lives out of state ordered a cake for me to pick up. First there is nice parking right in front, outside cute tables to sit at, inside cute tables. People having coffee and baked items. They sell huge loaves of bread along with many baked cakes and fancy desserts. Great place. The cake was lemon with many layers and wonderful. “Hands down the best bagel place in the Santa Rosa area! Grateful bagel has a wide variety of delicious bagels and sandwiches that are freshly made. Personally, I would highly recommend the lox bagel (which is filled with smoked salmon). Grateful bagel also has fresh croissants, boba tea, and homemade coffee. It is family owned and the employees there are very friendly! It is located in the center of downtown Sebastopol. Highly recommend!“

Get there early-- closes at 2. Dine in and have a breakfast- lunchy kind of menu: or get my absolute favorite: English muffins sold by the dozen. “Their bread is amazing. It's just excellent sourdough bread that happens to be gluten-free. I just used a loaf to make vegan stuffing for Thanksgiving and it was the most popular dish on the table. Here's my vegan TG plate. With a side of cranberry walnut sourdough. The stuffing (bottom right) was made with walnut sourdough.“

“Always love a good pretzel. These do not disappoint. As good as Amish pretzels found in Reading Terminal Market in PA, the unequivocally best pretzels there are. A little more buttery here, but I'm not complaining.

Her caring attitude, explanation of the app and benefits, and willingness to offer a 2 minute wait for hot and fresh nuggets made my day. Juanita is an employee that should be prized by any manager. I’ve gotten many buy 1 get 1 deals for giving my opinion, it’s now my favorite place for cakes. Only complaint, I wish certain flavors would be around longer. I tried the gluten free option, was very dry especially compared with the regular cakes.“

I decided to order Clam Chowder in a bread bowl to take home which is about an hour and a half north of Santa Rosa. They package the soup separate from the bowl so it was awesome!
