“I love this location it’s super close to my house!!!
I recommend crumbl for having a lot of choices of cookies, having best chocolate chip cookies!!!
Then, what i love the most is that everyweek they have different choices of cookies that we can choose from♥️”
“The place has a cozy, vintage charm, perfect for relaxing with friends over a few drinks and some freshly grilled skewers. Every skewer was perfectly seasoned and cooked — smoky, juicy, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. A must-visit spot if you love good food and a great atmosphere!”
“Closed to home 25 miles but better than go to Santa Ana 45 miles. Food taste 3.9 Cleanness 4 Atmosphere 3.9 Huge place, clean and perfect bathroom”
“The building and location are a little sketchy, but everything else is excellent. Small, very intimate atmosphere. Not much privacy. Menu options are simple. Food is fresh and worth the price. Even the sides, like house salad, miso soup, and hot sake, are quality.”

“I’ve been wanting to try out this place in such a long time and finally bit the bullet last week. Upon reading their extensive menu, we noticed a lot of similarities with DTF but at a slightly cheaper price point , plus short wait. Everything we ended up trying was solid! The xiao long bao had thin wrappers with a rich, flavorful broth inside — definitely some of the better ones I’ve had in the SGV. The beef rolls were flaky and crispy. The lobster abalone soup stole the show — it’s visually stunning and actually packed with deep seafood flavor. The sides rounded out the meal perfectly. Garlic string beans and honey walnut shrimp were delicious. Always a hit with our family. We left SO full and happy 😁
This place does get crowded, so highly recommend visiting earlier (closer to opening time).”

“Quite Wonderful people. First time here and I will be back. Lee was kind enough on how to eat this dish. Please come and enjoy. So birds need passports to fly from place to place. We are all one. Be the love you want in your life. And it will appear for what you are looking for is looking for you.”
“Best Chicken in all of town. Extra Spicy is always a perfect blend of almost too hot and not hot enough. This location always delivers. Shout out to Johnathan. He's been working here for the longest and always has top tier customer service. Johnathan for manager. Dave's Hot Chicken for the trophy 🏆 Enjoy.”

“It's great. The food is good. But you have to wait outside until your number is called and outside the place is littered with cigarettes in the waiting area. Please clean it up and put a no smoking sign. No one wants second hand smoke.”
“An excellent hot pot restaurant. The parking lot is a bit small, but the food and service are great! The only minor complaint is that having trash cans in the private rooms would be helpful—it would save the servers' energy also.”
“Tozai is a lovely neighborhood Japanese supermarket. The store may be small, but they carry everything from your essentials for cooking (soy sauce, mirin, soba dipping sauce etc), soba/Udon (both packaged and frozen - tip, get frozen udon not packaged for the best taste, it will taste like what you get at restaurants), to ready-to-eat meals (onigiri, Japanese chicken (karaage), rolls, sushi and sashimi). Small selection of veggies and fruits. I always go to Tozai for routine Japanese grocery items and find that it suits my need 99% of the time. Sure, once or twice a year I go to Tokyo Central or Mitsuwa in Downtown to go crazy at the snack selection, but besides those rare times, Tozai is my place.”

“Highly commendable service and absolutely stunning set menu! we went here for dinner last night for our Halloween date night! Their wagyu cuts are 100% top-grade and not just random "wagyu" that are below the marks. We tried their A5 and M9 meats, not to mention their salmon carpaccio that is to die for. Their sides are absolutely delicious and smart, one great example is their fried pork buns that is like a spin on soup dumplings. To top it off, you get premium ice cream in the end. Their salad is so good with yuzu and smokey salt, plus you get a chili mix too. They serve the meats fast plus your tablet menu is in front of you so you don't have to keep calling the staff to refill. I give them 9 stars! 🌟 🐄 🥩”
“We had a large party dining here and they were very accommodating for such a large crowd. The service was fine and the dishes were excellent. Unlike other Chinese food restaurants that taste as though the same sauce is used on all of the dishes, Here the sauces were varied and delicious. The portions were large and everyone enjoyed their meal. I never saw the final bill so I can't comment on bang for your buck.
Will go back again without reservation
Kid-friendliness: Three kids were in our group and they had their own colorful bowls and utensils.”
“This is the best burger joint in the business hamburgers are juicy tasty turkey club and Chicken breast club excellent best out there salad Greek good breakfast excellent French toast pancakes big and round chicken breast sandwich excellent beef dip best out there pastrami really tasty this guy has a chicken rice and veggies bowl or beef taste so good bacon and eggs I'm getting hungry pattymelt so good avocado zucchini onion rings excellent this place has a crew working hard as a team for customers this is a must try for good food dine inn or drive thru closes at 9 sharp 5 stars everyday there open I thank God in Jesus name holy spirit this is the best place for food”
“Driving between Palm Springs and Los Angeles? We plan the whole trip around this …
Have a special combo bahn mi at Tip Top Sandwiches in Rosemead. Their fresh spring rolls, pho and Vietnamese coffee are killer too! And never leave without a fresh $3 French baguette.”
“Neighbors Tea House offers the most exception beverages and sweet treats, like their Smashed Avocado and Durian and soy pudding. I’m still making my way through their menu but there hasn’t been anything I’ve ordered that I didn’t wish I ordered a large of. Their team is exceptional, especially during COVID. You can order online to expedite your experience. Be sure to say hi to Hailey, the owner, who always comes up with these amazing beverages. Will definitely be back!”
“The service was attentive and the restaurant was really nice and clean. Of course the star of the show is the food. Absolutely delicious. Everything was satisfactory. The almond tea pastry, fried squid, and garlic god were absolute highlights. I bet that you could order anything on the menu and be absolutely enjoying your meal. They are just so good at cooking here”
“Food is delicious and fragrant. Chili oil is authentic and actually has spice and taste, not that mild stuff other places have. The beef in the fried noodle dish is tender and delicious, the sauce is fragrant. Cats ear noodle did take a longer time to make, but it's all hand made. Can't complain.
My husband got the lamb organ soup and the broth is milky white. The soup is extremely clear tasting and not gamey. Hand pulled noodle texture is on point. Not too soft, chewy.
Speciality fried pork was great and had that authentic north west vinegar sauce and taste.
There was a super annoying customer last night and the staff handled the situation very well. My husband was annoyed for the staff. Props to the restaurant. 10/10.
If you're dining in for the first time:
-Staff does not speak English, do some research on Xian cuisine and checkout their menu beforehand so you understand what dishes to expect
-They accept cash
-Water is self service
-Staff is not intentionally being rude, there's a cultural difference between Chinese and western dining service
-They don't bring utensils out because they're already at your table
-If you have any type of food allergies or dietary restrictions it's up to YOU to figure it out and not the staff”

“This is a small independent shop that only does take out. Nothing fancy.
I came on a Sunday and the parking was packed. There are other shops and a supermarket as well. People do park and go rather quickly, though.
If you spend more than $20, you won't be charged a $1 fee. They only accept mastercard and visa; otherwise, pay cash.
Dim sum items are typically under $5. They sell other items/dishes for more and also specialty drinks.
I ordered $58 worth of dim sum and tried some in the car. I was happy with my order.
If you like cheap and decent dim sum, this place is it. Customers seem to love this place. There was a long line when I was here, and they kept refilling the food trays quickly.”
“This place is such a hole in the wall, would honestly come back. This place been around for a while but I never know this place exist because it’s so hidden. The service is a bit slow when prepping the food, but their tacos are to die for. I would come back any day for tacos!Parking lot is shared with other shops but not too busy! The menu is consistent and so is their food!Would come back again! Don’t let the small shop and sketchy look deceive you!”
“Food was great as always! It was the waiters First day so he kind of forgot to keep checking in on us to see if we wanted more soup, salad, bread and/or drink refills. So when another server came over to see if we needed anything, we said yes and asked for our refills of everything to go.”
“Years ago my mom randomly came to this store after a gig in the area, and she was shocked by how good it was.
We happened to be in the area again, and my mom INSISTED on coming here. We ordered number 1 and some cucumbers. Clean, rich flavors. We got mild, and while there’s a kick it isn’t overwhelming. Numbing spice though!
Cucumbers were fresh, salty and rich on the outside and crisp.
Unassuming interior, delicious meal.”
“Our go-to Dim-Sum restaurant when we visit Alhambra. Always order the har gow, siu mai, shrimp balls in rice, egg yolk pineapple custard buns and hot tea. The servers don't all speak fluent English but we make it work. Ordering is done by writing quantities on a paper menu with English descriptions.”
“This is a private home-style restaurant with no fancy decoration. If you want something high-end and grand, don't come. The main thing is to enjoy the taste of the dishes here. The taste is really amazing. If you can't handle spicy food, don't come either. Most of the dishes are very spicy. The service is just so-so. Like many Chinese restaurants, the attitude is rather casual. But here, unlike other restaurants, they won't chase you for tips. After you pay, just sign and leave it on the table. Overall, I'll give it five points. I like the taste here. There's a parking lot behind the building, and you can also park by the roadside.the price is a little expensive.”
“There is a variety of food options available for everyone from sushi rolls, pizza, chicken nuggets, Chinese, etc. Some food options were out for a while which tasted stale and lost flavor, but it was very few things compared to most of the available options.
The service was well as they had staff putting out food, clean utensils and serving refills for drinks.
The environment was pretty loud in some areas and the lighting is a bit dim, which can be improved on to feel welcoming or light up the dining area. Great price overall if you want to get all you can eat sushi along with other food options.”
“I will leave a very honest review here. The owners are extremely generous and this is the most authentic Chengdu / Szechuan food I’ve ever had. Do not be fooled by other restaurants fancy decor, some other restaurant tastes are bland and not authentic. If you want great portions, AUTHENTIC tasting Szechuan food, come here ASAP. I highly recommend the 辣子鸡 (spicy crispy chicken) sometimes regarded as the best in SGV. You can also ask the owners for off menu items to surprise your taste buds if you’re down for a flavor adventure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”
“I saw on a post about their lobster deal for $20 lunch special and wanted to try it.
It turns out there are 2 deals.
1 is a $20 lunch special another is for a $15.99 per lbs, buy 2 get 1 special.
The $20 lunch special is not quite $20. You are required to order 3 Dimsum items.
So my bill was closer $40+. The lobster was about 1.25 lbs. it was on the small side but it was still a good deal. The lunch was worth it.
The $15.99 per lbs, but 2 get 1 free deal, you will need to order 2 other dishes to get it. You also don’t have to buy 2 lobsters at the same time. You can buy 1 , another day buy another 1 then you get the free one after.
The house special lobster - that was excellent. There is a slight sweet , savory and spicy flavor. Strong on garlic flavor. There is a hint of fermented soy bean in that as well. My order was 2.8 lbs. I managed to easily handle that on my own.
Dimsum -
Pork bun tasted a bit dry. Not the best. Chicken bun needs a bit more fillings.
Beef Ball - that was good. Tasted legit.
Pork Century Egg Congee - I’ll order it again
Shrimp Rice Roll - quite good. Sauce has an excellent earthy savory sweet taste. Perfect texture.
Royal Chicken - is Hainan Chicken , that was good.”

“My first visit here was just a quick stop for a drink and a bathroom break. The layout and overall appearance were exactly what you'd expect from a typical McDonald's—clean and familiar. However, I do have to mention the bathrooms were a letdown. They felt cramped, weren’t very clean, and lacked proper ventilation, which made for an unpleasant smell. Aside from that, it was a fairly standard McDonald's experience, but the restroom situation could definitely use improvement.”
“Service was fast, friendly and very helpfull....food was also great by the way. I came on a weekend and it was very busy and had to wait but still was well worth it.”
“Mushroom and chicken casserole is SO GOOD!!! It’s an interesting place. Feels like someone’s dining room. The servers are not very attentive but that’s ok the food was awesome”
“I love supporting small businesses. It is the spot when I crave for cheese cake or need pick it up for potlucks and parties. I love the Japanese Iced cheesecake . It's light, not too sweet Percy texture and so delicious. They have the original , matcha , strawberry and Oreo flavors. You can either one flavor or a set of all 4.
The taro snowflakes is a must try, creamy taro sponge cake made with real taro.
This shop is clean, cutesy and is family owned and I was helped by the owner's mom, she's super nice lady, the owner makes all the cakes.
They take cash, Venmo and Zelle as payment options.”
Takeout Restaurants
“My new go to place for banh mi! They're open until pretty late for a banh mi place, which I appreciated when I needed to grab some sandwiches at 8:30 pm for a late dinner.
They offer a buy 2 get 1 free deal for the round bread banh mi. One is $6.25 so when you order two and get one free, it comes out to be about $4 each. The sandwiches I've gotten so far (grilled pork and grilled beef) are the most stuffed I've seen in a round banh mi!
I couldn't leave without trying their egg rolls and pate chaud. They're $1.30 each or 3 pieces for $3.75. Solid egg rolls and pate chaud.
Parking in this supermarket plaza can be a little crazy. Park towards the side to avoid the traffic.”
“My FAVORITE acai place! Perfect for lunch on a hot day! So yummy, healthy, and pretty! I love that they have a low sugar acai too and both matcha and original chia pudding! Lots of great toppings! I usually pre order via app and pick up but wanted to use my free ones so ordered in store! Check out the assembly! So cool. Edna has mad knife skills! Service is always excellent! — at Acai Joint Rosemead.”
“If you like Mama Lu's or P P pop, this is another similar restaurant with the same type of comfort foods that you'll also like as well. And like the other two spots, this place can get packed fast for both dinner and lunch. They have great portions (peep the giant cup of lemon iced tea) and the beef noodles and XLBs are the go-to's. Stir fried udon is one of my faves. Parking can be difficult though!”
“The service was attentive and the restaurant was really nice and clean. Of course the star of the show is the food. Absolutely delicious. Everything was satisfactory. “Went to this Vietnamese with a friend. Had the #23 chef special noodle soup bowl and the #30C Banh Mi sandwich. Also we had the #5 spring rolls. The food came out fast. Ordered the noodle soup mild spicy level. Still a bit spicy but delicious! The beef sandwich was very tasty too!”
“Love the BOGO Boba Drinks. I tried Thai Tea it was delicious. My son who is very picky and only usually gets Vanilla shakes. But he actually liked the flavor of the Milk Tea. He said it was smooth and tasted delicious. Friendly Customer Service. Great place to come back to.”

“My friend and I enjoyed a Christmas Eve day lunch. We were so excited to try the Peking Duck because we know this restaurant is famous for.
We are not disappointed. It was the most delicious Peking duck we have had.
The menu is presented in a beautiful booklet with photographs and descriptions.
It's a good idea to make a reservation and also reserve a peking duck if that's what you want to enjoy. The restaurant had other offerings that were equally delicious. Because we were celebrating Christmas, we reserved a duck and also feasted. We definitely over ordered, but it was well worth it.
The serving staff was really great and very attentive. And there is a big, free parking lot on the side of the restaurant.”
“Staff was absolutely helpful and kind! The Decor and table set ups looked beautiful and family friendly. We ordered the Chow Fun with Veggies and the House Special Prawns. Chow fun was perfect! When I say it was the best prawns I’ve ever had, it was the best prawns I’ve ever had. They have something special here and I would recommend 10/10.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“I was seated as soon as I walked thru the door. As soon as I looked up from my menu, someone came to take my order. I went to the bathroom, sat down and my food arrived within 5 minutes of me parking my car. These guys are always so fast and the food is always delicious.”

“They had pretty short hours focused around lunch time, so I had trouble making it here before they closed for the day. I was finally able to stop by during the week after a doctor's appointment maybe 30 min before their 3 pm closing time and pick several different onigiris that were not yet sold out for the day.
We went big and ordered several to go:
* 3x Karaage wrapped in Dashi Shiitake Gohan (Japanese Fried Chicken in Shiitake Dashi Rice) - $4.50 each
* 2x Spam Onigiri (Grilled Spam with Tare Sauce) - $3.25 each
*1x Tuna Mayo (Cooked Light Tuna mixed with Japanese Mayo) - $3.75
* 5x Grilled Salmon with Shiso Leaf - $4.25 each
* 1x Mentaiko Mayo with Tamago (Mentaiko mixed with Japanese Mayo with Japanese Egg Omelette) - $4.60
* 3x Buta Kakuni (Slow Braised Pork Belly) - $4.50 each
I personally liked the karaage, spam, salmon, and pork belly. BF enjoyed the karaage and salmon the most. They have more on the menu that we wanted to try next time, so hopefully we make it early enough before they sell out!
There's parking in the plaza, but it can be a little hard finding a spot since there's not too many spots. The other challenge is getting out, as there's only one entrance to get in and out of off Walnut Grove Ave, so if you need to head north, good luck getting out and beating opposing traffic.”

“I stopped by at this restaurant and try Pho beef noodles. The taste was incredible! A huge bowl filled with beef and tendons. The addition of herbs on my plate gave an delicious combination and aroma. The was very very good and service was lighting fast! I will come again and recommend to my friends. Five stars.”
“The service here was pretty nice, and I love how new the restaurant looks. The food was also pretty good too. My family loved it. However, the porridge we ordered was a little watery, but everything else was so tasty and we'll never forget our last dinner meal around the L.A county area!”
“Was recommended try this place by my doctor who works in rosemead. He said this is his spot and I can tell why. The chicken pho was flavorful and I not sure but it seem they use a special type of chicken that is similar that used in Vietnam. While I was there eating Pho Ga, I noticed multiple tables had order Pho Ga and Hainan Chicken. Seems like a common combo amongst returning customers.”
“Super delicious Chinese style skewers, the Intestine was so good! You can taste a slight hint of what I think was licorice... 10/10 can't wait to go back! Will update on next visit 😃”
“It's a small family restaurant with a high-end menu. I am very picky about escargots, and La Vie gets it right. This one is a must order. The smoked trout was good, but not a must. The duck is served to perfection - crispy skin and tender meat. We also got scallops and prawns, which were delicious, but the duck was the winner. Entrees come with soup, salad, and coffee at the end of the meal. We couldn't resist the souffle, one of my faves.”

Cheap Eats
“This establishment is Very clean & neat.
First time trying Japanese style cheesecake & Omgee it was amazing.
They had a tester one available and gosh it was amazing.
I ordered the original Japanese style cheesecake & Iced Brown Sugar latte with Salted cheese foam
(To be completely honest the latte isn’t anything unique or special.
Taste was blend for me.
BUT the cheese, very delicious.
I did have to wait an additional 10 mins or so for the cheesecake because it wasn’t ready & the logo machine wasn’t ready for a press so my Cheesecake has no logo / design.
I was offered a discount due to the inconvenience but didn’t receive it (lol)
The packaging is just beautiful, great quality🤍
Overall I will be coming back for the other cheesecake flavors.
(& hopefully I receive the discount I was promised LOL)”
“the best food I've had in LA is also the cheapest. thank goodness for this lovely couple. They have made-to-order plates and choose-your-items buffet. Probably the most amount of food you'd ever get for the price (buffet). I feel like I'm getting closer to Taiwan! :)
pork (belly?) and curry chicken were amazing!
if this kind of place doesn't exist in San Jose / south SF Bay / Santa Cruz, then I'm not going!”
“Zheng Shang Xian 蒸上鲜 offers reasonably priced Chinese food in a comfortable and inviting environment. In addition to the tasty dishes, diners can enjoy delightful Chinese music that enhances the atmosphere, creating a relaxing dining experience. The restaurant also serves refreshing icy lemon water, making it a refreshing stop for casual meals or group gatherings. Overall, the combination of delicious food, pleasant ambiance, and soothing music makes it a great choice for Chinese cuisine.”
“I called & asked for 2 Chile rellenos no beans or rice they said $9.99,plus tax, & 1 tostada ceviche shrimp & 1 tostada whole shrimp & a large coke came out to $73.84.aA high way robbery.I had no tostada's no crackers no tortillas the napkins were all wet from the ceviche this place is a Zero.”
“First time having lunch here and was happy with the food and service. Their lunch specials are a great low price option as well. I had the turkey burger and fries. Can’t say I’ve had many turkey burgers in my past to compare this one to, but I can say I enjoyed mine. The meat was juicy and was pretty tasty. The fries were nice and crisp which I prefer as well, so all good. My co-workers seemed to enjoy their meals as well so all good. Price was the surprise. A lot of great options on their $10 lunch menu which will have me coming back to try a few more. Considering there was only one server and a manager, they managed to keep up with service and our water glasses full.”

“The best teriyaki in the SGV, my $.02
Big E is the kindest dude and he and his team provide a great customer experience.
Check out the dbl cheese burger for $3.99. When I asked why it cost less than the single cheeseburger? Big E just wants to hooks folks up! The chicken teriyaki is amazing as is the sauce and salad sides.”

“True Cantonese flavor! Super friendly service.. both the dad and the son chef thanks us for coming even though we didn’t orders the expensive dishes.. passed by and decided to give it a try.. the seafood fried noodle was delicious.. good size shrimps and good portion.. the surprise was the homey steamed chicken with wood mushroom. Haven’t ever seen this on a restaurant in all these year and the portion was huge and it was their special $10.99 .. definitely will go back again and explore more dishes.. oh.. love the Herme ‘ copy tea @ set & dishes..”
