“I love this location it’s super close to my house!!!
I recommend crumbl for having a lot of choices of cookies, having best chocolate chip cookies!!!
Then, what i love the most is that everyweek they have different choices of cookies that we can choose from♥️”
“The place has a cozy, vintage charm, perfect for relaxing with friends over a few drinks and some freshly grilled skewers. Every skewer was perfectly seasoned and cooked — smoky, juicy, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. A must-visit spot if you love good food and a great atmosphere!”
“Closed to home 25 miles but better than go to Santa Ana 45 miles. Food taste 3.9 Cleanness 4 Atmosphere 3.9 Huge place, clean and perfect bathroom”
“The building and location are a little sketchy, but everything else is excellent. Small, very intimate atmosphere. Not much privacy. Menu options are simple. Food is fresh and worth the price. Even the sides, like house salad, miso soup, and hot sake, are quality.”

“I’ve been wanting to try out this place in such a long time and finally bit the bullet last week. Upon reading their extensive menu, we noticed a lot of similarities with DTF but at a slightly cheaper price point , plus short wait. Everything we ended up trying was solid! The xiao long bao had thin wrappers with a rich, flavorful broth inside — definitely some of the better ones I’ve had in the SGV. The beef rolls were flaky and crispy. The lobster abalone soup stole the show — it’s visually stunning and actually packed with deep seafood flavor. The sides rounded out the meal perfectly. Garlic string beans and honey walnut shrimp were delicious. Always a hit with our family. We left SO full and happy 😁
This place does get crowded, so highly recommend visiting earlier (closer to opening time).”
“the decor of the style presented as the restaurant is welcoming and inviting which was why my family who frequents this restaurant often with her friends recommended this place to me too”

“I saw the review from Lan Hoàng, and I have to speak up—because I was there that day, having lunch with my mom. And frankly, her version of the story is completely misleading.
She made a scene over the rice paper—complaining that 8 pieces for $2 was “too expensive” and demanding 12 pieces for $3. The prices were clearly printed on the menu. Then she loudly announced she could buy rice paper cheaper at the supermarket and bring it in herself. Seriously? That’s not how restaurants work.
Her voice was so loud that everyone nearby could hear her ranting, ruining the dining experience for others. The manager, to his credit, remained calm, professional, and stood his ground. He told her—rightfully so—that the price is $2 for 8 pieces, no exceptions.
Then she goes online and has the nerve to say the manager “lacks manners”? That’s laughable. If anyone was disrespectful, it was her. She should take a long, hard look in the mirror before she dares to judge someone else.
If I were the manager, I wouldn’t serve her again. Period. People like that come in with entitlement, create drama over one dollar, and then try to trash hardworking staff online when they don’t get their way. It’s not okay.
I will say this—the Bánh xèo was absolutely delicious. And that’s the only thing she got right.”

“If you say Xiaolongkan, Lameizi, and Chunlahao are traditional hot pot places, then Yuan's is the fashionable style, both in renovation and decoration. Yuan's might be the high-end hot pot in Los Angeles.
The restaurant has private rooms with full-time waitstaff and serves free snacks that you would normally have to pick up at the dipping station in other hot pot restaurants. The free Sichuan pepper chicken feet were delicious, and the fried sesame balls were hot, crispy, and tasted good.
The food was not more expensive than other hot pot places. The specialty was their wagyu beef, which had better quality than others.
I don't remember whether they had the nine-block pot. What I saw looked like a Mercedes logo shape, so you could have three kinds of soup base - one especially for fish, one for wagyu, and one for everything else. The pot was funny, with a copper-colored tiger head on the side. I don't know if the direction the head pointed to meant anything.
Hot pot is just hot pot. As long as the raw ingredients are fresh enough, it will not be bad. Nowadays, the soup base is no longer a secret. Hot pot is one of the foods that requires the least cooking skills from the chef.”
“Tozai is a lovely neighborhood Japanese supermarket. The store may be small, but they carry everything from your essentials for cooking (soy sauce, mirin, soba dipping sauce etc), soba/Udon (both packaged and frozen - tip, get frozen udon not packaged for the best taste, it will taste like what you get at restaurants), to ready-to-eat meals (onigiri, Japanese chicken (karaage), rolls, sushi and sashimi). Small selection of veggies and fruits. I always go to Tozai for routine Japanese grocery items and find that it suits my need 99% of the time. Sure, once or twice a year I go to Tokyo Central or Mitsuwa in Downtown to go crazy at the snack selection, but besides those rare times, Tozai is my place.”

“Highly commendable service and absolutely stunning set menu! we went here for dinner last night for our Halloween date night! Their wagyu cuts are 100% top-grade and not just random "wagyu" that are below the marks. We tried their A5 and M9 meats, not to mention their salmon carpaccio that is to die for. Their sides are absolutely delicious and smart, one great example is their fried pork buns that is like a spin on soup dumplings. To top it off, you get premium ice cream in the end. Their salad is so good with yuzu and smokey salt, plus you get a chili mix too. They serve the meats fast plus your tablet menu is in front of you so you don't have to keep calling the staff to refill. I give them 9 stars! 🌟 🐄 🥩”
“We had a large party dining here and they were very accommodating for such a large crowd. The service was fine and the dishes were excellent. Unlike other Chinese food restaurants that taste as though the same sauce is used on all of the dishes, Here the sauces were varied and delicious. The portions were large and everyone enjoyed their meal. I never saw the final bill so I can't comment on bang for your buck.
Will go back again without reservation
Kid-friendliness: Three kids were in our group and they had their own colorful bowls and utensils.”
“Neighbors Tea House offers the most exception beverages and sweet treats, like their Smashed Avocado and Durian and soy pudding. I’m still making my way through their menu but there hasn’t been anything I’ve ordered that I didn’t wish I ordered a large of. Their team is exceptional, especially during COVID. You can order online to expedite your experience. Be sure to say hi to Hailey, the owner, who always comes up with these amazing beverages. Will definitely be back!”
“The service was attentive and the restaurant was really nice and clean. Of course the star of the show is the food. Absolutely delicious. Everything was satisfactory. The almond tea pastry, fried squid, and garlic god were absolute highlights. I bet that you could order anything on the menu and be absolutely enjoying your meal. They are just so good at cooking here”
“This is the first time I have dined at this restaurant. It was iHealth company dinner banquet in a separate reserved room. The food was fairly good overall, with jumbo walnut shrimp being my favorite dish! I also liked the sliced fish with vegetables and lobster with noodles dishes. I thought the Peking duck and sweet sour pork ribs were just average ...The atmosphere is festive, private party rooms are great, service is above average! I would have another company party here again!”

“I've gotten sushi here a few times via Doordash. The quality of the sushi rolls is good overall, but the portion has gotten very small. The vegetable tempura is subpar considering the price they charge. (The pumpkin is sliced so thin and the taro is cut like the size of a pinky!)”
“This is a small independent shop that only does take out. Nothing fancy.
I came on a Sunday and the parking was packed. There are other shops and a supermarket as well. People do park and go rather quickly, though.
If you spend more than $20, you won't be charged a $1 fee. They only accept mastercard and visa; otherwise, pay cash.
Dim sum items are typically under $5. They sell other items/dishes for more and also specialty drinks.
I ordered $58 worth of dim sum and tried some in the car. I was happy with my order.
If you like cheap and decent dim sum, this place is it. Customers seem to love this place. There was a long line when I was here, and they kept refilling the food trays quickly.”
“Years ago my mom randomly came to this store after a gig in the area, and she was shocked by how good it was.
We happened to be in the area again, and my mom INSISTED on coming here. We ordered number 1 and some cucumbers. Clean, rich flavors. We got mild, and while there’s a kick it isn’t overwhelming. Numbing spice though!
Cucumbers were fresh, salty and rich on the outside and crisp.
Unassuming interior, delicious meal.”
“This place is such a hole in the wall, would honestly come back. This place been around for a while but I never know this place exist because it’s so hidden. The service is a bit slow when prepping the food, but their tacos are to die for. I would come back any day for tacos!Parking lot is shared with other shops but not too busy! The menu is consistent and so is their food!Would come back again! Don’t let the small shop and sketchy look deceive you!”
“Our go-to Dim-Sum restaurant when we visit Alhambra. Always order the har gow, siu mai, shrimp balls in rice, egg yolk pineapple custard buns and hot tea. The servers don't all speak fluent English but we make it work. Ordering is done by writing quantities on a paper menu with English descriptions.”
“This is a private home-style restaurant with no fancy decoration. If you want something high-end and grand, don't come. The main thing is to enjoy the taste of the dishes here. The taste is really amazing. If you can't handle spicy food, don't come either. Most of the dishes are very spicy. The service is just so-so. Like many Chinese restaurants, the attitude is rather casual. But here, unlike other restaurants, they won't chase you for tips. After you pay, just sign and leave it on the table. Overall, I'll give it five points. I like the taste here. There's a parking lot behind the building, and you can also park by the roadside.the price is a little expensive.”
“Staff is very courteous . clean inside . About the food it’s delicious . The lemon grass chicken is excellent . The bang-Xeon dish is also excellent . .”
“This place is pretty good for szechuan food. The best fish was the cold pork belly with garlic sauce. The meat was tender and there was noodles underneath it and the sauce was very good. The steamed pork slices were also very good and hearty. The wonton in chili oil was surprisingly also good. The boiled fish with pickles and green beans were decent.
The overall taste of this place is interesting in that the mala isn't as strong as other Szechuan places. So that might be a turn off for some.
The staff was nice and brought out the dishes in a timely order but kind of inattentive at times like filling the water.
The atmosphere feels nice and quiet and homely.”

“My first visit here was just a quick stop for a drink and a bathroom break. The layout and overall appearance were exactly what you'd expect from a typical McDonald's—clean and familiar. However, I do have to mention the bathrooms were a letdown. They felt cramped, weren’t very clean, and lacked proper ventilation, which made for an unpleasant smell. Aside from that, it was a fairly standard McDonald's experience, but the restroom situation could definitely use improvement.”
“The best Beijing Peking duck in town! Loved their signature duck but also their other dishes were great also and their fish is extremely sweet and textures were good too! Their lunch menu is a great lunch spot for a small get together and for dinner the must order of the Peking duck! And their prices are very fair for the quality! Went on lunch was amazed by their prices and quality.”
Takeout Restaurants
“My FAVORITE acai place! Perfect for lunch on a hot day! So yummy, healthy, and pretty! I love that they have a low sugar acai too and both matcha and original chia pudding! Lots of great toppings! I usually pre order via app and pick up but wanted to use my free ones so ordered in store! Check out the assembly! So cool. Edna has mad knife skills! Service is always excellent! — at Acai Joint Rosemead.”
“I remember getting some pretty good bánh mì to take on a flight several years ago, but didn’t know from which establishment. I came here today and it felt very familiar. I’m pretty certain this was the place.
We took advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free deal for the round bread bánh mì. We had the Saigon special, grilled pork and grilled beef. We actually asked for the meatball bánh mì, but they got our order wrong and gave us the grilled beef instead, which we didn’t realise until we got home. However, the sandwiches were still tasty; the meat was well seasoned and the bread had enough bite without being tough.
A decent place if you fancy some bánh mì. Takeout only.”
“Wow! There's a reason why this restaurant is so popular! The food is delicious and served family style. The staff is very kind. We were 6 with 2 in wheelchairs, and they sat us promptly so they didn't have to be out in the >90 degree heat. Atmosphere is comfortable and bustling.
We ordered the popcorn chicken, soup dumplings, beef roll, spicy wonton appetizers. Fijian vermicelli noodles, fried beef upon, shrimp fried rice, spicy fish & rice noodle soup with pickled veg... we'd happily order everything again!”

“Love the BOGO Boba Drinks. I tried Thai Tea it was delicious. My son who is very picky and only usually gets Vanilla shakes. But he actually liked the flavor of the Milk Tea. He said it was smooth and tasted delicious. Friendly Customer Service. Great place to come back to.”
“Went to this Vietnamese with a friend. Had the #23 chef special noodle soup bowl and the #30C Banh Mi sandwich. Also we had the #5 spring rolls. The food came out fast. Ordered the noodle soup mild spicy level. Still a bit spicy but delicious! The beef sandwich was very tasty too!”
“Different Vietnamese cuisine in the United States, sour soup with hot stir-fry, several bowls of rice, burgers, jellyfish salad (like chicken salad ?), pan-fried pomfret, Vietnamese pickles, salty crispy shrimp, and other dishes Five dishes and one soup, come and try it?”

“Service was fast, friendly and very helpfull....food was also great by the way. I came on a weekend and it was very busy and had to wait but still was well worth it.”
“Staff was absolutely helpful and kind! The Decor and table set ups looked beautiful and family friendly. We ordered the Chow Fun with Veggies and the House Special Prawns. Chow fun was perfect! When I say it was the best prawns I’ve ever had, it was the best prawns I’ve ever had. They have something special here and I would recommend 10/10.”

“I was seated as soon as I walked thru the door. As soon as I looked up from my menu, someone came to take my order. I went to the bathroom, sat down and my food arrived within 5 minutes of me parking my car. These guys are always so fast and the food is always delicious.”

“They had pretty short hours focused around lunch time, so I had trouble making it here before they closed for the day. I was finally able to stop by during the week after a doctor's appointment maybe 30 min before their 3 pm closing time and pick several different onigiris that were not yet sold out for the day.
We went big and ordered several to go:
* 3x Karaage wrapped in Dashi Shiitake Gohan (Japanese Fried Chicken in Shiitake Dashi Rice) - $4.50 each
* 2x Spam Onigiri (Grilled Spam with Tare Sauce) - $3.25 each
*1x Tuna Mayo (Cooked Light Tuna mixed with Japanese Mayo) - $3.75
* 5x Grilled Salmon with Shiso Leaf - $4.25 each
* 1x Mentaiko Mayo with Tamago (Mentaiko mixed with Japanese Mayo with Japanese Egg Omelette) - $4.60
* 3x Buta Kakuni (Slow Braised Pork Belly) - $4.50 each
I personally liked the karaage, spam, salmon, and pork belly. BF enjoyed the karaage and salmon the most. They have more on the menu that we wanted to try next time, so hopefully we make it early enough before they sell out!
There's parking in the plaza, but it can be a little hard finding a spot since there's not too many spots. The other challenge is getting out, as there's only one entrance to get in and out of off Walnut Grove Ave, so if you need to head north, good luck getting out and beating opposing traffic.”

“Ordered the double cheeseburger combo. Place was clean, plenty of seating & bathroom available. Food was brought to our table quickly and the food was hot and so delicious. They are very generous with their portions and you definitely get bang for your buck. Will be back again to try other plates soon. I didn’t get any pics because I was hungry and started eating right away 😂”
“This place has amazing bread baguette and its always made fresh. I always come here and get the baguette, because the bread here is good for the next day not like other place it become hard the next day. Services is here is amazing the cashier lady is always nice and kind. I like coming here and highly recommended.”
“La vie will definitely exceed your expectations being that it is a small unassuming restaurant in the not so boosie edge of South San Gabriel. Delicious escargo and a wide variety of desserts. My favorite the fresh fruit sabyon have sadly taken off the menu for some reason. The vietnamese family that owns it takes great pride in they're cooking and Mastered the art in France. The newer heavyset hostess guy (sorry if i misused the pronoun) is kinda rude and Absolutely dreaded and contested my cash payment due to the pandemic.”

“Was recommended try this place by my doctor who works in rosemead. He said this is his spot and I can tell why. The chicken pho was flavorful and I not sure but it seem they use a special type of chicken that is similar that used in Vietnam. While I was there eating Pho Ga, I noticed multiple tables had order Pho Ga and Hainan Chicken. Seems like a common combo amongst returning customers.”
“This establishment is Very clean & neat.
First time trying Japanese style cheesecake & Omgee it was amazing.
They had a tester one available and gosh it was amazing.
I ordered the original Japanese style cheesecake & Iced Brown Sugar latte with Salted cheese foam
(To be completely honest the latte isn’t anything unique or special.
Taste was blend for me.
BUT the cheese, very delicious.
I did have to wait an additional 10 mins or so for the cheesecake because it wasn’t ready & the logo machine wasn’t ready for a press so my Cheesecake has no logo / design.
I was offered a discount due to the inconvenience but didn’t receive it (lol)
The packaging is just beautiful, great quality🤍
Overall I will be coming back for the other cheesecake flavors.
(& hopefully I receive the discount I was promised LOL)”
“the best food I've had in LA is also the cheapest. thank goodness for this lovely couple. They have made-to-order plates and choose-your-items buffet. Probably the most amount of food you'd ever get for the price (buffet). I feel like I'm getting closer to Taiwan! :)
pork (belly?) and curry chicken were amazing!
if this kind of place doesn't exist in San Jose / south SF Bay / Santa Cruz, then I'm not going!”
“Zheng Shang Xian 蒸上鲜 offers reasonably priced Chinese food in a comfortable and inviting environment. In addition to the tasty dishes, diners can enjoy delightful Chinese music that enhances the atmosphere, creating a relaxing dining experience. The restaurant also serves refreshing icy lemon water, making it a refreshing stop for casual meals or group gatherings. Overall, the combination of delicious food, pleasant ambiance, and soothing music makes it a great choice for Chinese cuisine.”
“I called & asked for 2 Chile rellenos no beans or rice they said $9.99,plus tax, & 1 tostada ceviche shrimp & 1 tostada whole shrimp & a large coke came out to $73.84.aA high way robbery.I had no tostada's no crackers no tortillas the napkins were all wet from the ceviche this place is a Zero.”
“This spot has an awesome deal—buy 2 sandwiches and get 1 free! Today we just grabbed a chicken sandwich and an iced coffee, and wow… both were super good. The coffee was refreshing and the sandwich was so tasty. Definitely coming back to snag that sandwich deal. Highly recommend checking this place out!”

“The best teriyaki in the SGV, my $.02
Big E is the kindest dude and he and his team provide a great customer experience.
Check out the dbl cheese burger for $3.99. When I asked why it cost less than the single cheeseburger? Big E just wants to hooks folks up! The chicken teriyaki is amazing as is the sauce and salad sides.”
