“Great atmosphere, definitely a nice date place. The service was great and friendly. I didn’t have a reservation but they were able to give me a seat at the bar. I ordered the onion soup and beef tartare. Supposedly onion soup is their signature dish, but it was really salty, I was a bit disappointed…. Because it was a $20 bowl of soup. The beef tartare was excellent, it would be nice if they offer one extra slice of bread and some more salad leaves. I was happy that they have half bottle of wine that I can order. Wine list is quite nice.“
“Having lunch with my daughter is a tradition at Mimi. We love the food. The tomato basil soup is amazing and her favorite. I just had to order the turkey dinner which was fantastic. Tony C. took great care of us. Service was quick and attentive.“
“It's been some years since I last dined at Shiro, and I was so delighted that it has fully maintained its superlative status as a first rate restaurant experience on every level. Shiro offers casually elegant dining in a handsome, intimate and stylish storefront in a historic district in South Pasadena. The French-Asian menu offers amazing creations and flavors that will entice and satisfy. My husband had an appetizer consisting of the plumpest, most tasty pan-fried oysters imaginable, as well as a wonderfully seasoned uni pasta. I had sea bass in a rich sauce over Japanese eggplant. The service is impeccable, from the initial greeting and seating to the server and helpers. It is friendly, caring and professional. We will certainly not wait years until our next visit.“
“My favorite restaurant in ALL of Los Angeles. The owners used to be at Cafe Beaujolais in Eagle Rock and have taken all of their excellence with them to Enter Nous. If you want an exceptional restaurant experience, old school, like you find in places on the East Coast or in Europe this is it. Honored reservations, professional hosts and wait staff, and food consistently created with excellence and pride. I've tried a few different dishes - all fantastic- but their filet mignon is the best I've every had, and worth every penny. (Better steak than from the New York Grill in Tokyo and just as good as anything I've ever had at Peter Lugers). I also like that the tip is included in the bill. I've had nothing less than professional attentive service here and if I ever didn't I feel the owners are the type of restaurateurs who would go out of their way to make it right. Love this place!“
“Walked by it for years and only recently tried it. So good. Had a special of white asparagus soup which was delicious. I had their strip which was well prepared. Our server was lovely and great at directing us. Lovely little. Spot. Reservations are strongly recommended.“
“I LOVE this place! The food is always amazing whether dine in or take out, I'm salivating. The servers are so kind and do their job well. And the VIBES! that place is so cute they either have live music or some good jams playing in the resturant. I take everyone I know here. Can't wait for my next visit ?“
“Didn’t expect much other than some good crepes for brunch when besties suggested checking this cafe out for brunch, but boy … what a lovely surprise! This could be one of the best brasseries in LA. Easily one of the best baguettes & best bouillabaisse I’ve ever had in LA. The bouillabaisse is comparable to the good ones in Cassis! Of course, crêpes & French onion soups & baguette sandwiches were excellent too! Total hidden gem of LA!Service could be a bit on French mode at peak hours, so if you are in a rush, please mention it to staff or order ahead for takeout. I like quality slow food and wanted a chill brunch, so it was perfect. Street parking only.“
“Had an amazing experience today at Mimi's. Came here to celebrate my friends birthday. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left everybody was so friendly so kind. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the French toast and bacon, potatoes delicious and we were so lucky we had Lorena she took such great care of us so very very attentive and warm outgoing. She made today so special for us. Thank you, Lorena and thank you Mimi's!!!“
“I have ordered here a number of times, generally taking the time to sit down and eat on the patio with either a book or some work. It is a large, gorgeous patio, surrounded by beautiful, greenery, and shades, that they roll up or down depending on the time of the day. You can never go wrong with a ham and cheese sandwich, but I'm also a major fan of the roast beef. My friend loved the meatloaf, and when I took my mother, she was a big fan of the vegetable quiche she had ordered. I also once tried their chicken wings, which were way too delicious and they are introducing pizza but so far nothing I've ordered or had from here has been bad, so I'll definitely check it out.Parking: Small parking lot directly out back but plenty of street parking down the street next to it as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Front door is easily accessible, as well as the patio has a ramp and restrooms are beautifully large.“
“This classic French restaurant exudes timeless charm with its rustic ambiance. The consistency in having the same chef for 23 years reflects a dedication to culinary excellence. Each dish is a masterful blend of traditional flavors, almost like a time traveling journey to the authentic French cuisine of the 70s and 80s. Impeccable service and a warm atmosphere complete the experience, making it a must-visit for those seeking a taste of culinary tradition.“
“First time in here - got a latte, a breakfast burrito and a baguette sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. Very spacious open floor with high ceilings; great place to grab a bite and work remotely. Shout out to the staff - every individual we spoke with was very warm and friendly. Will be back.“
“I love this place. I have been ordering food here for years. Everything that I have tried from their menu is delicious. The staff has always been friendly. The only thing that frustrates me are the hours. I can never seem to catch when it is open anymore. Also wish they would take orders to go again.“
“Located in South Pasadena, Nicole's is a French bistro and market stocked with a variety of French specialties and gourmet foods. The local gem has ample seating inside and out, shelves filled with an assortment of imported French goods and pantry items, a menu brimming with French cafe staples, and various desserts on display. After discussing the different desserts with the pastry chef, I ordered the croissant bread pudding, pecan tart, and blueberry raspberry struesal. The desserts were all rich and decadent - a little on the pricey side ($7.50 per pastry), but well worth it. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Likely to return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around it.“
“Went for high tea, and definitely had a wonderful time! Loved the decor and the peaceful ambience (we were there early on Sunday so we beat the crowd and were able to enjoy the harpist's performance to the fullest). Food was great; they had more savory items than sweets, which was a good difference than most high tea places. I only wished there were more scones.“
“Whittier native who had never been, was back in town visiting and brought my fiancee. Our server (Morgan) was very attentive and friendly. My fiancee's crepes were great, and my savory crepe chorizo wrap was fantastic. The ambience and music inside complimented the meal nicely.“
“It is a place I enjoy going to and the service is wonderful. And the servers work hard to make sure everything runs smoothly.Parking: There is plenty of space which several easy access for the mobility challengedWheelchair accessibility: And four-wheel walkers roll smoothly in any area“
“La vie will definitely exceed your expectations being that it is a small unassuming restaurant in the not so boosie edge of South San Gabriel. Delicious escargo and a wide variety of desserts. My favorite the fresh fruit sabyon have sadly taken off the menu for some reason. The vietnamese family that owns it takes great pride in they're cooking and Mastered the art in France. The newer heavyset hostess guy (sorry if i misused the pronoun) is kinda rude and Absolutely dreaded and contested my cash payment due to the pandemic.“
