“I ordered from Uber Eats, and oh my goodness! Food was fresh, still hot. The steak was tender, well marinated and so delicious. Hummus and pita bread…yummy! They even thought out every detail, making sure utensils and a little baggie with garlic sauce, hot peppers, hot sauce and sumac seasoning was included. Definitely 10 out of 10, thank you! I would have posted a photo, but my food didn’t stand a chance 😋“

He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic about making sure we had a great time. His friendly demeanor and professionalism made us feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment we walked in.“

“I've been coming to the spot for probably over 10 years and the experience overall has been solid. The owners are always really polite, the food is put together ridiculously fast, and the flavors are pretty familiar and flavorful as you would expect from Mediterranean food. I will say, that perhaps there's a little bit of shrinkflation because most restaurants, the portions just seem a little smaller. I think for this cafe, everything is pretty much the same with high quality hummus, tasty rice, fresh salad, but I think the meat portions are a little smaller than I remember a year ago. Also, this round, my lamb skewers were a bit overcooked and on the dry side. But, perhaps this is just an anomaly for this visit. I'm going to try again probably this month!“

“Update 8/25/2025:

I wanted to make an update since some things have changed since I initially wrote my first review. This is still easily one of my top three Mediterranean spots in the area. The flavors are always on point, the portions are generous, and the quality has stayed consistent over time. One thing that has changed, though, is the gradual price increase. The chicken kabob plate, which comes with hummus, pita, rice, and salad, used to be about $17 but is now closer to $20 or more. I feel a little conflicted because for the taste and portion size it still feels worth it. At the same time, if you are bringing a date or ordering for more than one person you should expect to spend a bit more than you might anticipate.“

“only downside is the parking, you have to engage on a busy Pasadena Street possibly even walk some steps over there but it is more than worth it! “Nancy at the counter is always fast and efficient. She really knows her menu! They have a variety of plates, salads, wraps, and sides. A few of my fan favorites include the works, which comes with a little bit of everything, kafta, beef, chicken, two falafel balls and two step grape leaves. Chicken wrap is made with pita bread, garlic paste, lettuce, tomatoes, and homemade salad dressing. The sides forBesides for your wraps are pickled turnips and your choice of spicy potatoes or salad. My favorite salad would be the grilled veggie salad with protein optional it has onions, bell peppers, zucchinis, yellow squash, and corn, all grilled and topped with their homemade balsamic dressing and feta cheese. Their stuffed grape leaves and falafel are always a hit as well. I have yet to try their baklava, but that is next on my list they’re located in a food plaza, so there are a bunch of other eating establishments as well and their dining areas and restrooms are always spotless. Most of the establishments have the restroom code and Wi-Fi password posted or if they don’t, you can always ask! The TVs mainly play the news and they have connections if you need to charge your phone or laptop overall, this is one of my favorite places to eat. If you decide to go check this place out at the counter know Roxy sent you!

“Lots of vegan choices here with faux meats. I ate my falafel and fries. The fries were a light golden, crunchy outside fluffy inside, generous portion, but it costs extra. The falafel (about five in the wrap) was good, a little dry, but good chickpea flavor 5/5...but I wished the lettuce wasn't so "spring mix from a supermarket bag" and clubky chunky...I like to see more finesse...but the pita was the thick fluffy kind and the sandwich was well wrapped so you could hold it without too much falling out. I enjoyed the cute Sierra Madre ambiance inside...though I was kept waiting so long in the place i nearly left...about 12 minutes alone before someone emerged from the back, without as much of a welcome or greeting. Well, I was excited to be there at least. Anyway, no check ins from any server but I tipped the guy 15 percent anyway, and he did thank me for that. I ordered a beef and chicken combo with rice and the proteins were grrrreat 5/5. It survived the half-hour drive home. Suggestion: Ask to have the pita bread packaged outside the container. The pita was under the proteins...alas mushy soggy unrecognizable....not smart, sorry. So if you want pita that isn't mush, beg to have the pita on the side. One star less because of that decision to put bread on the bottom for a takeout order. My mom didn't get any pita 0/5 and that's a shame bec it was the fluffy kind.“

“My wife and I realized that we had not thought to stop here in quite a while and so we stopped for lunch today and we were immediately reminded why we like the food here so much. I like the chicken kabob wrap and my wife typically gets the chicken bowl. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is consistently good. We will definitely have to keep the Hummus Factory on our regular list of places to visit for lunch and dinner. A photo of the chicken bowl shows just how appetizing it looks.“
