“The service was attentive and the restaurant was really nice and clean. Of course the star of the show is the food. Absolutely delicious. Everything was satisfactory. The almond tea pastry, fried squid, and garlic god were absolute highlights. I bet that you could order anything on the menu and be absolutely enjoying your meal. “I was seated as soon as I walked thru the door. As soon as I looked up from my menu, someone came to take my order. I went to the bathroom, sat down and my food arrived within 5 minutes of me parking my car. These guys are always so fast and the food is always delicious.“

“Went to this Vietnamese with a friend. Had the #23 chef special noodle soup bowl and the #30C Banh Mi sandwich. Also we had the #5 spring rolls. The food came out fast. Ordered the noodle soup mild spicy level. Still a bit spicy but delicious! The beef sandwich was very tasty too!“

“After so many times of having gone to this shopping center for the other stores, I finally took a chance to come in, and I thought it was pretty good! Staff was friendly, they were really patient with me. Food came out in maybe ~7 minutes or so, so that's pretty standard. I thought it was pretty good! Was reading some of the reviews saying there's no flavor? I don't know, maybe I've become such an old man👴🏻 now, I thought it was good. Not over-the-top. Someone said they barely gave any cheese over the fries? My observation was that they meticulously layered the cheese, so that it wasn't just a giant slab on top with nothing on the bottom. I've never been to any other restaurant that goes through that level of detail to make sure the right amount of cheese is evenly distributed across the fries like that! BRAVO!👏🏻 Shoutout to the 1pm crew! You guys are awesome!

“Tozai is a lovely neighborhood Japanese supermarket. The store may be small, but they carry everything from your essentials for cooking (soy sauce, mirin, soba dipping sauce etc), soba/Udon (both packaged and frozen - tip, get frozen udon not packaged for the best taste, it will taste like what you get at restaurants), to ready-to-eat meals (onigiri, Japanese chicken (karaage), rolls, sushi and sashimi). Small selection of veggies and fruits. I always go to Tozai for routine Japanese grocery items and find that it suits my need 99% of the time. Sure, once or twice a year I go to Tokyo Central or Mitsuwa in Downtown to go crazy at the snack selection, but besides those rare times, Tozai is my place.“

“Love the BOGO Boba Drinks. I tried Thai Tea it was delicious. My son who is very picky and only usually gets Vanilla shakes. But he actually liked the flavor of the Milk Tea. He said it was smooth and tasted delicious. Friendly Customer Service. Great place to come back to.“

This place been around for a while but I never know this place exist because it’s so hidden.The service is a bit slow when prepping the food, but their tacos are to die for. “La vie will definitely exceed your expectations being that it is a small unassuming restaurant in the not so boosie edge of South San Gabriel. Delicious escargo and a wide variety of desserts. My favorite the fresh fruit sabyon have sadly taken off the menu for some reason. The vietnamese family that owns it takes great pride in they're cooking and Mastered the art in France. The newer heavyset hostess guy (sorry if i misused the pronoun) is kinda rude and Absolutely dreaded and contested my cash payment due to the pandemic.“

“Vietnamese take out only place. We like their tofu selections: fried either plain or w/ mushroom. They also have fresh tofu w/ a honey(?) & ginger(?) sauce. Parking is tight on weekends. Try street parking or park behind the building, by taking the side street about 20 ft. or so, on the left.“

We like the on-choy, pork belly with preserved vegetables, squids with sour cabbage, egg plants, pan fried eggs with dry radish or bitter melon, cabocha, etc.“

I went to see their manager and he said it was okay and that bugs were normal. Finally, he asked me what I wanted to do, but the restaurant couldn’t solve it. How to do it, ask me?
